Great audio quality for an aircheck that's almost 60 years old. Thanks for sharing this blast from the past.

Was there for their heyday. Remember them fondly.

The promotion for Fresno's KYNO a quarter of the way through this was a hoot! And yes, you can hear that WLOF was taking a lot of chances musically at the time. And the Rag Dolls, brothers of the 4 Seasons? They sounded more like sisters to me (I will have to look up the group's biography to know if they were males or females.)

I married Russ, the lead player of the ROCKIN’ ROADRUNNERS.
Went to Seminole High School in Sanford. WLOF was big time back then. Thanks for the great memories. Have you got any tapes 66-68? Russ & Dave were good friends of the station deejays & often stopped by. The Rockin’ Roadrunners won Orlando Battle of the Bands in 66. Any tapes you might have of them?

Hi Dolores - thanks for the comment. Everything I have I've posted on my UA-cam page, both audio and video. Please feel free to share any more memories -- I've gotten to know Dave a little in the last few years.

@@jasonivey2 Russ & Dave kept in touch. But I lost his info when Russ died. Do you know where he lives? Any social media info on him? Or a phone number. Did you ever go to Steve’s music store in Orlando? He had to quit drumming because he was losing his hearing. Haven’t seen Dave since 88. He came to Jacksonville & stayed with us & we went to see The Rolling Stones. I know he & Linda divorced. Think he was seeing someone else. I’m ranting too much. Guess I’m acting my age 71. So good to reminisce. Thanks for making my day.

Did you know Cindy Crain when she was an English teacher (and she was only 35 then)? She went to Brantley ten years later, and she's 91 now. What a babe! What about Mr. Epps?

@Jason Ivey would you happen to be in possession of any old WLOF or WHOO Top 40 surveys from this time period? I'm trying to compile an excel spreadsheet with all songs to ever chart on either station before this information is lost. As you might imagine the surveys are extremely hard to come by today. Thanks!

JGC: unfortunately everything I have is posted here on the UA-cam page. The WLOF Facebook page seems to post many of the old charts.
