Since then, by his estimate, he’s said “milkshake” “a million times.” As he sees it, the U.S. enjoys a comparative advantage - despite all of its problems - and, as a result, its currency will appreciate.
It’s an on-the-money call if ever there was one. In this interview with Ash Bennington, Johnson forecasts more of the same.
He also shares the story of how he came up with his “milkshake” theory (it involves the movie “There Will Be Blood”) and why it stands.
And he warns investors to be prepared for both inflationary and deflationary pressures. Johnson does expect U.S. equities to continue marching higher over the long term - but not without terrifying drawdowns along the way. Recorded on October 11, 2022.

All Exchanges are insolvent, they sold coins they didn't had hoping people will follow and panic sell! Many truly panic sold but others didn't. The Exchanges although they artificially keep the prices low, they can't buy back and fix their books. This is what makes even the big Exchanges Insolvent, some of them simply can't wait until they buy back. A huge number of coins remain in the hands of people who refuse to sell at these low levels the market is moving today. The Ethereum staking continues faster than ever, over 35.000 Ethereums per day are locked on new validators, and the Exchanges are in panic while they see that the market doesn't panic despite the huge price drops.
This was filmed 5 weeks ago. We’ve seen the dollar drop to 106 since then. The demand for US treasuries seems to be weakening perhaps on higher rate expectations. I’m not sure the theory is fulfilling itself.

I find "Dollar Milkshake Theory" to be a confusing term for a simple idea that has been on the radar since the financial crisis 15 years ago, in the same way that the phrase "pay yourself first" is a weird term for nothing more than saving.

Economics in US is ponzi money printing by the Fed becos' Congress irresponsible overspending aka fiscal deficits aka in deep debts which Congress never intend to pay back.
As long as there are demand from overseas for dollars, Congress can print and be fiscal irresponsible until US dollar collapse or run out of suckers to buy USD.
Inflation on things you need like food and fuel and deflation on things you don't need.
In other words: guys join the crowded trade of the year.
A sound explanation of monetary dynamics, but overly reliant on the past to project the future. Also, the monetary focus is one-dimensional, and subordinates all other factors that could alter or undermine a monetary primacy. Also a little puzzled how Brent can highlight the concept of a reserve that gives everything else value, and then draw on weather metaphors to illustrate the powerful forces, but then trivialize the “green energy policies the world has tried to put forth” and dismiss it as “run into a brick wall of the real world”. The monetary system is not only flawed, it is human fabrication over which we have agency. The natural systems that sustain the conditions necessary for life are far more akin to a foundational reserve. Except natural systems collapse, resource depletion, and biodiversity loss are far greater risks to social stability, and even survival. So I take his theory in narrow terms only, as Brent seems to think the fiat reserve currency is more “real” than biochemistry and geophysics. The real brick wall might be in plain sight, even if those who manage money cannot see it.

In hindsight the covid restrictions were overkill. But for uninformed, medically uneducated ppl to be so sure at the time to be willing to commit violence was also wrong. Perhaps they could've conducted experiments where ppl who had no issues with covid (like myself) could've been voluntarily exposed to covid to see how they handled it.

I can agree with all your points but come to a different conclusion. Mainly, the U. S. has been a pariah nation for the last 70 years. Running constant wars, demanding other nations do as we say, killing millions around the world, the latest the hundreds of thousands in Russia and Ukraine. And this latest example of killing people is especially heinous because we didn't have a single reason to do so, as is true for all our wars since WW2. We have taught the world to hate us. The slightest sigh of weakness and we're going to get jumped. And we deserve it. When it comes, it will be total.

And now in Ukraine after 10s of thousands are dead and US against peace for nearly a year, they're talking about negotiating peace. All the dead ones could have been prevented if the US wouldn't have pushed Russia to react to NATO's push to be closer and closer to Russia. F*ck USA - I hate the USA more and more every day.
