Cool experience for you! Hawkers are classics with some interesting challenges. There is no baggage compartment so it all goes behind a curtain next to the microwave and coffee maker. They are a bit noisy inside as well. They are good value on the market when stepping up from a older Citation. They are a fraction of the cost of a new CJ3/4 or Phenom - although operating costs and maintenance are a lot more. Always pays off to make friends at the airport! Keep up the great work Kay.
Good afternoon, young lady. This is Mike. I have watched a tremendous amount of ur clips and I am enjoying everyone. It is great to see you graduate from your smaller plane To your twin-engine... enjoyed going through your instruction period...you are a wonderful young lady ....And I'm so happy for you. I know that you will have your private jet soon. I'm looking forward to purchasing my first golf stream 800 for family and business. Look forward to meeting you 1 day until then Continue to make your wonderful videos. And I will watch everyone. Thank you so much for the privilege & the excellent content.
I'm glad you changed your shirt... I don't think I could take a whole video in that first one... I used to work for Collins Radio a long time ago. Also, Gulfstream. I got to ride in a Gulstream GIV in the jump seat when I worked for them. They were going to let me fly it, but we had some technical problems with the pressure system.
Very nice Kay, loved it. I could see your were really liking that Pvt Jet Flight, watching and learning, and perhaps dreaming of one day you will be that Pilot, i have no doubt you will be. Thanks from bringing us along.. it was fun! and Fast as well.. from SE Texas Bear ❤💯🙏 tell pops hey!
The autopilot “issue” may have just been a quirk in how the heading bug works in the ProLine 21 avionics system. The setup in the video is that they were taking off runway 9 (which is a heading of about 090 degrees) and they were told to turn left to a heading of 330 degrees after takeoff. The short story is, if the heading bug knob was turned to the RIGHT when it was set to 330 degrees for the turn after takeoff, then the airplane will turn to the RIGHT. There are techniques to ensure this doesn’t happen but shutting the automation off and flying manually like these guys did is the right way to solve the problem (at least initially). Centering the heading bug on their current heading and spinning it LEFT to 330 degrees would have solved the autopilot logic issue and resulted in the desired LEFT turn. At least that’s my hunch, it could have been some other actual issue but the autopilot seemed to work fine for the rest of the video.
Upon further review, watch when the pilots are entering the runway for takeoff and reading the 330 degree heading assignment back to the control tower. The captain is turning the heading bug knob to the RIGHT to set the heading. This leads the airplane to turn to the RIGHT when the autopilot is activated in heading mode. No judgement here; I’ve made the same mistake before. Unfortunately though, that autopilot “malfunction” was pilot induced.
Had this happen on ProLine 4 systems back in the day. Best practice is to line up on the runway, push the HDG sync button in the middle of the heading knob, then turn the heading the direction of your turn. Otherwise the airplane may turn the wrong direction, as happened here. You can sync in the air and then turn it to your assigned direction but better to do just as these guys did and turn it off until you have time to deal with it. Nice work.
I had to look up that registration, seems they allow five letters or numbers after prefix. Doubt the country even has an airport, actually it does have a short single grass strip.
It is currently registered in the tiny country of San Marino - likely for tax and ownership benefits over other countries. Just like where [people register their superyachts.
Everyone needs to have the private jet experience if they can. It is an awesome way to fly. I was fortuante to have a vendor fly into OKC in the morning, fly to Quincy IL and do a factory tour and I was home by 5 oclock. It was amazing and was grateful.
I had to look up where T7 is from: San Merino! I think the callsign is worse than one I used to fly: G-ASZS. Controllers almost always got it wrong on the first try.
...unless the controllers are Canadian, maybe? "Z" is always "Zed", to them. (I suppose they can get creative, though..."Zulu" sounds like a winner.) 😂
The DH 125 is my favorite general aviation private jet. I love the design of the plane and it's easy of access in and out of the aircraft. This one looks like a extended version. Only thing I don't like is the inverted flight control wheels. Otherwise a very nice older jet.
Been incredibly lucky enough to fly on private jets a few times, including a couple of big Falcon 900's. It's a fantastic way to travel for the lucky ones that do it all the time.
Nice plane, even with the temperamental autopilot. There actually is an airport in San Marino (Torraccia Airfield LIKD) but it's only suitable for light airplanes.
Awesome Kate I am sure you would fit right in with no problem You are very sharp in your flying skills no stumbling any airline would be pleased to hire you , j
Oh Kay I know you had to edit the part where you flew right side out of the video but did they laugh when you started looking for the rudder pedals? I've talked my way into right side a few times and the first time I looked for the pedals I was reminded "it's a jet" LOL

Kay thanks for sharing. Country of origin for T7-ANAND? Complexity abounds so much that even a relatively short flight can ruin your day. Good crew with impressive skills. You can see that he turned the knob to the right at 4:08 when they got the heading from ATC, so you're probably right.
