Love that you show the in between upgrading the base as well as upkeep throughout the video and you take slight pauses now and then. It’s very helpful !
Did this build. Don’t forget to build the first part high enough so when you do third build out you can do the low foundation or it doesn’t work. Also I jackhammered out the middle triangle and added a hatch ladder to a second floor and built up a shooting floor and battery storage. Love this design. There is one wall you can’t upgrade unless you don’t window the first box storage u til you get enough metal scrap
Btw it may make little difference for upkeep but when adding pancake layer you can do low walls on the inside, it’ll block the same way just cheaper to place than half walls
You can easily change that tho in many different spots, you can leave a triangle open and put a jump up and instead of honeycombing you could expand upwards and put a tower its as easy as replacing the roof honeycomb with build up
Door triangle foundation needs to be hqm, if you don’t they’ll just jackhammer it out to get to bunker or just use rockets on it instead. Also you can fit 4 furnaces in the two triangle holes for bunker
So I literally just got raided with this build. Guy built a full sheet metal raid base right in front with 2 turrets. I was completely trapped. I died by the front entrance to the turret and then respawned back into the core. So when you build out the storage to the left of the core, you cant reach back there to upgrade the wall to sheet metal or armored. This was literally the only wall I couldn't reach after putting in the window so it stayed as stone. This guy must've seen this video bc he went straight for that wall (this wall wasn't upgraded during the video but any noob should know to upgrade it regardless) and mind you the outside was full sheet metal as I upgraded everything for extra support. He definitely made no profit bc I didn't have much but this build may be too inviting without a compound which was going to be my next step. Had fun regardless with this build! I'm gonna try different one now.
Sucks you got raided, anyone with a full sheet raid base with turrets definitely had it out for you no matter the base you have lol. And I’ll have to make sure to upgrade before honeycombing in the future, but thanks for commenting and using the base!
Built this exact base but put a ladder hatch up where the airlock is, then honeycombed the rest of the top and put in chainlink fence peaks around the outside. Fits autoturrets at top, too.
kind of off topic but i just wanted to comment this. This song a video reminds me of when i tried to build this base with my friend but we didn't get far and just maybe a month after that we stopped talking. god damn I wish I could do that again
Great looking base. vey similar to what i've been building for a long time. Roof access because I don't like leaving through the front door and perfect :) 4k hours.
I have a tip, would it be possible ( if its not too much work ) to have the building cost top right in small as you go per section. as you place a wall add the wood cost and then what you upgrade too. This will be so helpful when building in a busy server and the person will know exactly how much materials needed per section
You use your hammer to remove your window. The window is mostly used as an extra layer of protection when you are offline. Ofc you wont keep the window when you are inside your base.
I onlined this base as a solo against 2 people and I'm fairly new to the game, I just blew through the doors and threw grenades in, was actually really easy, I would say having one entrance makes it hard to defend
Good base me and my 2 buddy’s have been running around safe and secure since we built this always look out for zurgs tho they can make quick work of even the biggest bases
I personally love the base bro. I’ve been using it since you first uploaded it. I’ve figured out how to expand it and add a shooting floor but this is a great starter
Tips for this build (i've played it an entire vanilla official server wipe): DON'T honeycomb the roof, build up a second floor with another exit or windows for recon AND some turret spots. Doorcampers got easy life with this build even if the overall concept works very very well. Just do these changes and you got this on a complete different level. Thank me later
Man this is awesome ty, im new to rust and dont have anyone to play with so this design gives me a sense of false security that i really need haha. I say false because the amount of sweaty people that play this game is crazy and i know nothing is unraidable however atleast they have to really work with it for this one.
bags behind 2 doors is kinda iffy? you lose your respawn barely into getting raided... also tc is under stone foundation so 8 rocket foundation outer honeycomb and then 4 for tc is pretty cheap.
That last large storage you put in behind the garage door next to the wood storage box seems impossible to place without it sticking out beyond the garage door giving access to it.

Using a vending machine creates extra protection as it costs a lot of boom to go through one, and it creates storage, just make sure to turn off the broadcasting feature on it so players can’t see it on the map
u should add a vending machine to the tc for 2nd buncker ish and instead of large box loot room use barrels instead and just add a 2nd floor instead of pancake same upkeep and cost
I’m kind of a newer player, but is the vending machine used for loot storage because you turned disabled broadcasting on or is it for bragging like the clans and Zurg lol. “Edit” just had another idea. Is it to make raid cost straight to TC more expensive expensive
If you're using the Brutalist skin, that seems to have caused me to not be able to place them. Just went to a build server and had to try out a bunch of stuff and I'm pretty sure that's what the issue was. I know this is months old, but hopefully someone in the future finds this and maybe it helps.
As a solo player, instead of the second chest room, I made it half chests and half electrical for the power and turrets, it seems to work well for a solo that way
@@RustyYT1 why not include the bunker build in the video? I've been using this base for a while now quite successfully and id love to utilize the bunker but im a bunker-noob.
@@jankyPUP sure it’s super simple, you just place a twig half wall where the lower foundations are. And then place a floor triangle on the airlock side and upgrade.
