Hello community, is anyone having problems with Desview R6 Zebra levels? Mine are not the same as in my Sony Alpha iii camera. Desview zebra levels gives me a very different exposure. Thanks for replying!
I am having a major issue with the Zebra levels on my Desview R6 and I will be sending an email to Desview to ask if there is a solution or firmware update to resolve the issue.
Hi, great video thanks ! I got the same monitor, but when i pair it with my FX3, the camera screen goes black which is anoying, is there anyway to have both screens on at the same time? Thanks
Hi Michael I do not no much about the FX3s menu but, I am going to say the obvious thing probably : ) . Cheek you camera settings to see if you can have both on at once . Good like and thanks for watching and commenting on my video . Cheer Derek
Great review! You got it MY LIKE with no hesitation. This is HOW you make a useful review. The big channels should take quite a number of notes from you!!! Any other extra accessories recommended for this monitor? Thanks in advance!
Thanks for the great video. Have you noticed the levels of your metering tools changing while adjusting your brightness or contrast on the monitor itself? Not sure if I have a faulty unit or not but mine suffers from this issue. Waveform, false color, histogram shift up and down while adjusting brightness/contrast. Can't judge exposure reliably this way!!
Hi! Thanks for the tips. I'll try them all. I have a snag and, I hope I can find some answers through the chat. I'm shooting with a Lumix G85X. It's a four-thirds camera. The Desview works beautifully for a few minutes but, then the screen completely scrambles. I can't return it so, I thought I'd trouubleshoot before writing it off as a loss. I did an internet search but, most of the infor out there is about the refresh rate between computer monitors and harddrives. Any ideas?
I've read the comments and now see the Panasonic notes. It's possible but, highly unlikely, that both of us received lemons.I bet it's a compatability issue. Would appreciate any tips from someone who has been successful in marrying Lumix to Desview. Thanks.
Well, I took the monitor out with me today and, tried changing up some of the settings. I'm happy to report that it worked! Not only did I have monitor for the session but, it was MUCH longer thanks to changing the settings that you mentioned, Derek. Thanks again and, to all of the Panasonic usees, play around in settings.
Nice review. @1149 I saw a shot showing the monitor and the camera screen both on. How did you do this. Most info tells Canon doesnot offer this option
Hi PKBTw The canon R5c camera transmits was on the LCD Monitor to the field Monitor but does not transit other actions like exposure tools. So there you go . Thank for your comments much appreciated . Cheers Derek
Hello, I'm an amateur, I don't really understand it, but I have a question: can this Desview R6 UHB 5.5 monitor also be recorded on an SD card? This means that if I have a camera on one card, does it actually record identical footage to the other monitor card? But that SD card is only for LUT recording. Can I use this monitor to backup REC to a second card?
Hi @ No there is no recording to the monitor it's just a monitor! . Yes the SD card is only for LUT. Thank you for commenting on my video. Cheers Derek
Hello I just got the r6 monitor and I i have an issue I think , I have contacted to my camera a7iii and when I turn on the monitor doesn't saw me a full screen but has a black bars on the left and right side !! What I have too do there is any settings? Thank you
Hi W P I am unshar what is wrong but Go to display settings and see if something is activate in there. Happy New Year to you and your family. Cheers Derek
Hi Derek , thanks a lot for the good video! Question: My monitor does not show the full spectrum of the screen, only it displays 100% when I zoom in. What can it be? Thanks!
Great review! The LCD on my camcorder is absolutely miniscule, so it's really only good for framing, and focus is just an act of faith at this point. I'm curious as to why the monitor doesn't automatically take on the display settings from the camera; are there any external monitors that offer that capability?
Hi K V S On reflection it mite be the camera that is not putting a signal out to the Desview R6 monitor . Thanks for commenting on my video and Happy New Year to you and your family. Cheers Derek
Hey I’m wondering if you ever found an external monitor that does just take on the display from the camera? All I’m really after is a larger screen to shoot with! Thanks
Thank you for this review! I have the same monitor. Curious if you have experienced a quirk that mine has. When I switch to 60fps in 4K, the color messes up on the monitor and everything is blue abs yellow. Tried several different cables with no luck. Haven’t been able to find anyone talk about this, so I’m wondering if I just got a bad unit. I shoot with a Lumix S5. But I tried it on my Lumix G9 and it did the same thing. Other than that I absolutely love it. I just don’t want to get a new one if it’s going to have the same problem.
Hi Brian I am a bit sus that it is your Panasonic cameras that's the problem . My one does not have that problem with the Canon R5c . You need to check your monitor with a norther brand of camera , so find a friend how has one . Thanks for commenting on my video. Cheers Derek
great video Derek but slightly confused with this monitor with all the turning on and fluffing around etc, i use a 10yr old 7inch lilliput monitor originally bought for my 600D then used on my 7D, 5D mkIII, canon R6 mkI, Panasonic GH5M2, and my Olympus omd e10 mkII all work perfectly great regarding settings straight from the camera i actuall was looking forward to an upgrade from this review but think i will deffo give this a huge miss :) thanks for the video appreciated.
Hi GW With the cameras waveform monitor etc not showing on the Desview R6 monitor , on reflection it mite be the camera that is not putting a signal out to the Desview R6 monitor . Thanks for commenting on my video and Happy New Year to you and your family. Cheers Derek
Can you not use the LCD and the monitor at the same time?
What’s the battery life like using lp-e6 batteries?

Hello, did you manage to get the display sorted out or it is meant to be shown that way? Cheers
Hi Derek , thanks a lot for the good video! Question: My monitor does not show the full spectrum of the screen, only it displays 100% when I zoom in. What can it be? Thanks!
Did you fix this problem
Yes, it was a setting in the camara itself @@LuisvisualsHD
CAN YOU TAB TO FOCUS?
Not on the Desview r6 monitor its self, only on the camera .
Thanks for the review

You may find the monitor does not support 4K 60/50p only 4K 30/25p 👍
The OSEE T7 and T5+ take at least 5 secondes more to power on (even considering they have a quick operating ON/OFF switch, unlike the Desview)
