Tried one of these and found it to be very wobbly even with everything tightened down. I returned it to rei and purchased a Lolo Rack which is much more solid.
i would be worried about carbon bars, I'm sure yakima says it would be ok, but still can't help being worried about it.

Dude.. if this will break your bars, at there strongest part with the least amount of stress.. then your bars will break while riding.
They dumped the discentagrating rubber straps from previous model. Don't like the handle bar grip.
You state that an e-bike cannot be mounted but you don’t explain why. So I ask, why?

It will always be due to one thing: weight. It's not like it will interfere with EMF fields....

no dh or ebikes then? What is the point lol. Stick with Veloxicrax. Holding by the handlebars is just so dumb.
Any rack that doesn't grip by the wheels seems silly at this point. Risking rub on the frame or bars/stem is just not cool.
Love my Lolo Rack. Holds my carbon bar bike and kids bikes no problems.
not sure id trust something that supports my normal bike but doesn't support an e-bike. I hope they took into account forces of going over bumps/potholes. Seems underengineered, likely for cost.

Because they have a bad design that smashes some top tube ebike screens.
