The Eastern Cascades Railroad and Central Oregon Area Live Steamers held their annual open house the weekend of September 15&16, 2018 at their headquarters in Bend, Oregon. The railroad the equipment collection are outstanding. In this video you will see 4-6-2 and 2-6-0 live steamers plus models of EMD locomotives galore... SD45, SD40-2, SW1500, F7 and more.
There is a video of riding the whole railroad here: ua-cam.com/video/BE3-44O-uKo/v-deo.html
How much is one of these beautiful model engines cost
The Great Northern “Hustle Muscle” SD45 looks really great really authentic! I absolutely love it!
The BN version of this same locomotive is not too shabby either!
Very cool to come back to this video and see how many views it has gotten. we are hosting our first open house since Covid this September 17th and 18th, our 25th Annual open house, If you want to come again this year!
I wish I could have. Bend is a special place and your club is spectacular.
Very cool operation, looks like a a lot of fun.
Would like see one up close. Thanks for the video.
Now this is something I would like to do on a Sunday, looks relaxing.
But how in lockdown? :p
I love the Hustle Muscle replicas, both BN and GN. SD45s are my dream locomotive, especially Hustle Muscle. Little Joes are my other dream locomotives.
This video was so good, I love trains and those look so realistics
and you're doing so great I'm subscribing.
Thank you very much!
Oh how awesome, I'm gonna have to buy some locos cars, tracks, ties, switches, ECT and set this all up on my 4 ace farm!!!! Love them high cube boxcars you've got, you might need some 86' boxcars, they'ld look AWESOME on your set with your other rolling stock!!!!!😎☺️😁👌 more please😁👍👍
Hey that's my 2-6-0! lol. Cool to actually see a video of my own engine finally.
I was enjoying watching the 2-6-0. I tried to work out riding behind it, but that didn’t work out. Beautiful and great sounding locomotive.
Tankbuster245 is the rolling stock yours, too? Beautiful freight cars.
@@RobertJohnDavis thank you, it's gone through a decent overhaul over the winter. Re painted the Locomotive and got the boiler jacket painted. The rolling stock is mine, except for the gon behind the caboose which I was using for an extra riding car since my hopper car is out of service for now. I needed new trucks for my tender, and since all the rolling stock has new trucks, I took the new ones off the hopper and put them on the tender.
@@RobertJohnDavis I would have liked to have run more that day, and Saturday during open house, but I was stuck on the steaming Bay trying to fix some issues in the smoke box with the super heater.
I want buy your engine. Can i get your number? @Tankbuster245
woww...amazing I really want to ride on that..that is awesome..it won't feel like you r riding on miniature train...👌👌👌👏👏
It's pretty crazy how much weight these can pull.
Diesel power
The SD40-2 is the Star!
NICE! I saw a number of my fellow Grand Island RRers there... Mike with his Army train, Barry with his Hustle Muscle, Randy with his Rattler. I couldn't make it that day. I CRINGED when I saw that little girl with her hand near the wheels of the hopper she was riding in!
It only takes one dumb kid or adult to get hurt, and screws it up for everyone.
Great video this is on my bucket list...
IF I ever got to do this all my cars & locos would resemble Tyco Trains!
Refreshing in the wild.
Very happy..
It’s like being an engineer, without all the awful things about being an engineer lol. Owning one of these would be a dream.
Take my money! I want a ride!
Amazing Railroad, Nice video and creation.
Looks like so much fun.
That is so awesome.
i love the video
OMG ! Those people are humungous ! 😬
I want to earn buy a big farm, put up a rail track way like this with all the trees and bushes intact and I want to spend my retirement there. Oh ya, I forgot that the first process to it. Earn!
Very nice. I love it.
this is super cool
Bellissimo you Americans are great ,you know how to have fun very very very very very very beautiful
That was splendid!!! Very very very nice!! I didn't know this type of railroad amusement park existed, it kinda reminds me of the 2 trains that got running in summer time in Denver, Co at the Lakeside Amusement
Park on Sheridan BLVD. I sure see a lot of rockn action on them boxcars, lol exactly like the real ones, I love the paint n colors on all your freight cars, I'm glad you DID NOT DO ANY GRAFFITI ON THEM👍👍 ALL YOU NEED ON YOUR LAYOUT ARE THE SD70 ACEs locos, SD80 MACS, AND A COUPLE OF SD90 MACS AND YOUR GOOD TO GO, unless you want to add a new Tier loco, go for it, thank you sharing this, im gonna have to head about 1,200 miles west just to see the place! Great job , Happy New Year 2020👍👍👍
Cool video...👍👍🙂🙂
To hell with Disneyland! I'd rather see this!!!!
Oh yea.. Any day
Powerful motors
So cool. Love to do this!
I love your chanel soooo much
Looks like the little girl in the BN gondola was attempting to loose a few fingers.
SO VERY VERY NICE
Good morning, I would like to know if they use electricity or fuel for their operation? thanks and greetings from Argentina
Some are battery powered while others have gas engines. Thanks for watching!
did I see a child trying to reach the rolling wheels 4:07..!!!
I'm speechless ice cold...
And thus the end of a good thing begins...
Pure beauty, totally awesomeness, l would love to know the ins and outs of how to do this
That looks so fun.
Great layout hope you like mine diesel dave's
Now this is what I want
4:06 ups wheres my finger?
Joni Novak I don’t think that coal hopper is heavy enough to decapitate a finger but it sure would hurt. Maybe leave a cut are a nasty swelling of some sort.
@@pokeyrailfanning Or her finger gets caught on a tie or something and pops it right off. We ask them to leave if they are told a second time. We want to keep our insurance low cost as possible
@@pokeyrailfanning yeahhh I think you underestimate the weight of these things...
@@jamesm6638 The locomotive most definitely cut a finger off but that little 50 pound Hopper ain’t going to
Amazing very great
Good job
MUITO LEGAL
GREAT JOURNEY. ...
Wow wow wow
Where can you find trains this big and what are the average prices for locomotives and cars? This is freakin awesome.
Samuel Melendez take at look at this site: discoverlivesteam.com
you have to build one unless you get lucky finding something for sale that you like, building is still more rewarding though... the price all depends on the size and level of detail, something like a switcher can be done for under $10k but something as large as a big boy would be closer to a half a million dollar project
Amazing
Are there any videos about how they build these locos? Mainly the"diesel" models.
dear sir, love from india, sir, i want to know, more about this miniature trains, today we have cars , two wheelers , etc., and even regular sized trains, but i want to know, how and why these miniature sized trains serves , and the total mechanism involved and the advantage of miniature trains in these routes. and i see people , where they are going ,
whether this is just for fun, or a regular routes.
These are just for fun, but there are some that serve as regular transportation like one in England: www.rhdr.org.uk/
Are the diesel trains harder to keep up with maintenance?
Most are pretty simple. Much less hassle than steam.
Any tips for someone who wants to get into this but don’t now how
Yes, check out www.discoverlivesteam.com/railroads/US-clubs.htm
How much is one these big engine cost to own onw
Wow is that engine that much capable 😱
Good content... From now I am your new subscriber....
Basically all human have their original version and are so fun during the first and the last two decades of one's life !! and Between is where life gets hacked so badly....
Who wants all of those train stuff? cause i do i wanna make cool videos with it :D
what is the source of continuous power supply ?
Some have gas engines, some have rechargeable batteries and some run on steam.
@@RobertJohnDavis in single attempt how many k.m they travel ?.... actually i am surprised and i want to see ...love from india
@@sahilshahi6173 the steam and gas locomotives can run continuously as long as they have fuel. The track in the video is about 1.5km.
@@RobertJohnDavis wow great ☺️☺️
Thanks for the video. Where can I buy trains like these seriously?
you build them
i love train journey
India Zindabad
I saw my Grandpa😂!!!!!!!!
Super bro
How much t
How much do those locomotives weigh?
Meanwhile trains:- oh God not again!
Looks like real
How do they get the diesel sound? Im so confused
where does one acquire one of these???
Were can i get one? Do i need to build it or what? Bc i want one so bad!
yes you need to build, you don't see these things at walmart do you? lol
@@jamesm6638 i was just asking
Big check out www.discoverlivesteam.com/railroads/US-clubs.htm
You can buy these trains ready to roll, as kits or DIY. It is an expensive hobby.
@@RobertJohnDavis yeah, I don't like to mention the prebuilt models much because I find them a little expensive compared to building, a lot of people take 1 look and think it's too expensive not realizing that building is much cheaper and more fun
Big fun
oh sure its all fine and dandy till a band of outlaw bandidos on miniature horses rides up and robs the train, then nobody is smiling
Ye kaha se kaha pauche ja rahe India me chalan me hi pade h 🤔🤔🤔😇
WOW !!!!!
👏👏👏👌👌👌👍👍👍
Es magico
I'd like to get into this sort of thing, any good websites/starting materials?
you'll want a lathe to start... and eventually a milling machine or somewhere with access to one... after that it's just finding blueprints and making whatever's on them
You’ll also need tens of thousands of dollars
Is that G scale
Much bigger. G is nominally 1:22.5 scale. The trains in the video are 1:8 scale. Thank you for watching!
Good
Where Is it ?
Thank you !

@@VapingLobster I think my Gf is cheating with me but I am not sure what you think ???
Sir Robert John Davis....i would like to know what will be the price of this engine?
Hi I'm new to the backyard train world. I have a question on the 7.5 gauge is it 7 and 1/2 inches between inner rail or outter rail ?
Moose, the gauge of a railway track is defined as the clear minimum perpendicular distance between the inner faces of the two rails. ;)
How do you power these beautiful machines ?
With scape built engines ofcourse. :-P
most people get into this for the steam engines but the diesels either use small gas engines or electric
What is the top speed?
Huge humans over the train 🚂
Wow.. excellent
Oh no. I thought those rail videos from America were real
What powers the diesel train
is any of the locomotive is for sale ??
Legal mesmo adoro 🚆 trem
How much doOne of these engines cost
Locomotive alone roughly 10k plus.
Thank you mark

Kkkkkkkkkk o homem sempre tem menino em si mas que muito bom
Agradeço thanks you
*What kind of engines in the Diesels??? And are they direct drive or Diesel Electric???*
Most of them are battery powered electric, but it sounds like some use a small gas engine, like out of a lawn mower.
Are these amazing Locos scratch built ?
