Congratulations Josh a great achievement. As an old boy with a dodgy heart but still a keen cyclist I am envious of what you and other long distance cyclists do. Ayone who crosses the start line is a winner in my book and saying your the " first finisher " just proves how modest you are. Stay safe.

Again congratulations and fantastic to meet you at the start and at the party. The motorway you nearly went on was the M3 i turned and did the same thing, a few bemused motorists behind as I swung back around to discovered that cycle path hidden in the bush. =)
I finally arrived home a couple of hours ago; I decided to bivvy up at Mam Tor in the Peak District last night - first time ever in the bivvy and it rained! Thankfully the Hunka from AlpKit lived up it's reputation and kept me dry inside.
Sitting on my couch and watching your adventure with open mouth! Some day I will move my butt and get on a longer ride for sure. Thanks for inspiring.

1st. Sad to say, I miss you and all the top 10 passing near my training zone ... 2nd I watched and waited on horse pass 4 days looking and giving the moral bost to those on the way to the race end...

Ultra-impressive Josh. In the big league now and wonder what will be next for you. You made an interesting observation about being a lighter/smaller rider and that making the difference on the hills. Maybe also all that hill-training on those tough northern hills helped a little too ;)

Knowing full well that i don't do anywhere near such long rides, but it's the second time now where you had some problem with electronic shifting. I think i'd much rather stay with good old mechanical, it doesn't run out of juice until my fingers can still move.
I was able to charge on the go luckily. Both systems have pros and cons.

Do see that you used exposure front light how in the hell did you charge it as you hardly stop at all thought that it’s not possible to charge from power bank ??
I had the exposure six pack and the toro with me. Both last for 36 hours so had no need to charge given that the nights were pretty short.
I don't know how males ride that far. As a female and riding 12 hours everyday for five weeks consistently I know the discomfort on the saddle.
Calorie consumption is important but I would not want to eat mc Donald's. Why this choice for food.

Do you miss china?
I miss the fruit. Best mango I’ve ever had was from a road side stall in China. The noodles were pretty good also. Definitely would like to go back to explore more one day.
