Hello Dr.Lavanya. Thank you for the video. You had mentioned 5 years of clinical experience as a pre-requisite to apply for Clinical fellowships under MTI scheme. Kindly enlighten, do I have to associated with a hospital full time or clinical experience in private setup with simultaneous association with a hospital (as Consultant) for admission and management of one's own patients also holds validity.
Nice video, thanks for that. . But please I graduated with mbbs 15 years ago, and have been in private practice for long. Am eligible for the mti program?
Hi Doctor, I am an older graduate (MBBS IN 2014) and presently pursuing a Doctor of medicine (Post graduation program ) in Pharmacology from Delhi, India. I want to get into the internal medicine program and I have some queries: 1. Old graduation affects my matching into FY2 or ST position. 2. What is the easier branch for me to get in the UK as residency training? 3. Can a doctor pursue Ph.D. simultaneously while training the program? Thanks.
1. I don't think so. 2. Do check out this video- Competition ratio for specialty training ua-cam.com/video/fAftIp8z20E/v-deo.html 3. Yes I think so, but this will affect your training length, it might take longer.

Hello, nice informative videos. I have few questions, hope you can enlighten me. 1. Can I get surgery speciality after passing “MRCP” or should I go for MRCS to get surgery residency? 2. I heard it is very difficult for international graduates to get surgery residency. Is that true? Thanks in advance.
MRCP is for the medical specialties. It is not needed for surgery. MRCS is for the surgical specialties. Surgery is comepetitive. How often emergency and acute medical doctor get infected by aggressive patient who have disease like HIV, and how can they avoid it
Quite rare I guess. We sometimes need to sedate patients who are aggressive and risk of harming others.
