Love this! I've been following a tip I heard recently to do something for a couple of minutes in whatever room I'm in. For example, each time I'm in the bathroom, I'll swish the toilet or sink, or wipe the counter. Each time I'm in the kitchen, I'll wipe a counter, wash a dish, or check the fridge for anything expired. Each time I'm about to go upstairs, I do a quick scan for anything that needs to go with me. The goal is to spend about 5 minutes at a time - and I've found that this really adds up! Floor mopping still takes some planning, but I can almost always manage a quick sweep. My goal is progress, not perfection.

As ironic as it sounds, what is working for me right now is having multiple planners for different things. I'm not a catch-all person in this season of life, I need to compartmentalize, and I have different expectations for each planner. The important thing is that the planner(s) work for you and you're not getting stressed out trying to fill out the planner(s).
@talksfromtheheart well, which one lives in your desk and which goes to work with you that you keep with you? Ive loved rings for 20 years, but they have become too heavy to carry around with other things like phone,, reading glasses and sunglasses, wallet, keys and cosmetic bag. BTW I despise traveller's notebooks- I have 3 of those things- I've tried the TNs in different sizes and even made a lightweight one, hate it- too unorganized. I'm currently in pocket rings with a little monthly slid in the cover but it makes me grumpy because it's so small.......yes, i get grumpy 😞 i am a grumpy old lady with my 3x5 pgs.....

Your videos always make my day. One thing that really helps my mental health is I try to have a daily “to-done” list. Stuff that never made it on my to do list but took time and I’m proud of myself for accomplishing. It can be as silly as “ordered more toilet paper” or “did some (even if it’s not all) dishes” to “made that (super long annoying) phone call to the bank I’ve been putting off”. It’s not about tracking, it’s about proving to myself I that I really do get a lot done. Some days “got out of bed” and “brushed my teeth” are big accomplishments. I see absolutely nothing wrong with motivating oneself with cute notebooks and stickers. How much better is it to do the dishes if you’re checking it off in a book with a Marie cover telling you Bonjour!
I like you have planners I am not using. I just picked up my a6 hobo again. I am going to use it for grocery and meal planning. My son who is 14 just found out he has elevated insulin levels and is determined to be the one on my mom’s side of the family to break the diabetes curse. Love watching you and your unapologetic ways and attitude. Thanks for sharing with us.

Catherine from Georgia USA here! Thank you for your great encouragements. I am using a Hobonichi Cousin Avec and a Composition Notebook . I often clip things from magazines and catalogs with a glue stick. I am doing the same for 2025. BLESSINGS
I think the first TRP planner I ever saw was yours last year. And here we are a year later and I’m using 9 of them this year in sizes from a5, b6, a6, and passport
I know that you have a lot on your plate with your T2D and your work schedule is topsy-turvy at times as you fill in where necessary.. money is always tight for many of us, but ay e getting a cleaning person or company to come in every other week to dust, bathrooms, floors, change sheets, etc. that way these boring jobs are done and your house is cleaner. It would take this off your plate. Also, have you thought to try and get an A5fir home along with your edc. I find that it makes things much easier.
I do the morning list also. It helps so much! And I keep it separate because I don’t want to clog up my “good planner” with all this stupid junk. You make ma laugh every time! And hey…you can cross wake up off your to do list and feel good about it!!
You might try a “done list “. If you do 2 things off the master list a day, you get some sort of treat or credit toward a treat. I’m going to revisit this method too
I’ve been struggling with the house too! And I’ve always been so neurotic about it. Even though to a lot of people it might not be messy or dirty, it feels filthy and cluttered to me. Work has just be weighing me down. I’m not working any extra hours, but I do have a heavier work load. I guess. A different breed of heavy, maybe 😅. I do “schedule” all my chores, but I’ve been having a hard time checking and/or following it. I still LOVE my Hobo Weeks, I wouldn’t change a thing about it… but I wonder if maybe I need to switch it up next year just to get myself excited again. Ugh. Godspeed to everyone!
Girl, I salute you! I can’t keep up with so much! I have a 5 year hobonichi, a daily Filofax to keep track of things, and journal. Your stuff is amazing with the stickers, I love it! We use a lot of the same ones, from the same places. You cracked me up with the house cleaning comments, we ALL know what that’s like! Sometimes life just gets busy. And it’s better to do what brings you joy! If the dishes sit in the dishwasher an extra day it doesn’t matter! Looking good forward to seeing more videos. I totally get what you're saying! I've been in my head this year about how things I didn't touch for a while are wasted for this whole year, and then I did a thing where I started re-dating and using an older planner, and I realized how silly I was being. So, I got myself to use my weeks b/c I wanted to. I was telling myself not to get back in it b/c of this ridiculous idea that I need to leave it for using in a different year.
There must be something in the air because I've been thinking the same thing! lol I actually bought and printed a couple if Dailies and I don't like them. I played around with Weeklies and to-do list, different combinations and omg that didn't work either. I was trying to avoid 2 planners, I settled on a cool Weekly from the Planner Room on Etsy and it fells right, now, to see if I actually tackle that To-Do list lol Thankyou for sharing, you've given me some good ideas and I love your sense of humor 🙂
