Who wouldn't be scared driving through there lol. For real though I driven through parts of Mexico that make this look like Disney World compared to what is in parts of Mexico. Generally tho if you mind your business when passing through hoods or sketchy areas in general 99% of the time nothing will happen to you. I cannot guarantee anything so don't take my word for it
There’s nun wrong w passing a hood. The only problem about driving thru a hood u not from is when the car in front of you stopping traffic talking to somebody outside in the street lol. It’s so many situations that can play out if u not patient.
Chicago don’t look that bad, and no I’m not saying it like that. Im saying aesthetically the architecture is very nice and still modern looking. Streets aren’t filled with garbage. I live in Philadelphia. There is garbage everywhere our houses are smaller, and way older. We’re more packed in and on top of each other. And we have way more abandon, dilapidated, just torn down houses. It’s not uncommon to see someone living in a house that is a attached to another house which is literally falling apart
That was my first thought. the buildings here are very nice. I wrote in the comments above that if these people are trying to see an actual hood, them come to my city in Flint mi. lol bored up homes, burnet down homes, etc..
It's the same buildings you find in the rich neighborhoods. Some of the apartments in them are beautiful. Chicago housing stock is excellent and the City makes you keep your rental property up to code. Real estate is worth a fortune, even in the hood.
@@donnelladams8362 Same buildings in Philly look nasty or nice, depending on how clean the neighborhood is. I don't know how people could live or work in Kensington. I couldn't walk half a block there without vomiting.
Man, my mom grew up around there !! My grandmother's best friend stayed in the building on the thumbnail and my grandmother lived next door! #St.Lawrence I remember all the corners had businesses and the Green line went all the way down to Stony Island!! My dad taught there at Hyde Park !! #lovemycity
I was raised at 47th and Federal half a block from State st. Our homes were the first to be torn down to build the Projects and the Dan Ryan. I was 12 years old. Original Chicagoan. My mother and Father also.
I don’t get how these blocks are so close & beefing. Where I’m from we normally stretch the hood 5-10 maybe 20 blocks. These niggas are a block or two away 3-5 min walk-in distance away it just don’t make sense wanting to beef knowing we both gonna lose so many of our ppl even Stevie Wonder ass could see dat
Notice the condition of the all the cars parked out there. Its nothing different than what you would see in the suburbs. No rusty holes, plastic bags over the window, type stuff that ive seen for people that are REALLY going through it. This is why its funny when I hear rappers talk about being from the "trenches". You might be from a low income neighborhood, but its not the trenches. The trenches are neighborhoods in brazil and africa, with no working water, no cars, etc.
Nice ride but quick...Former Chicagoan here....most people see "hood", and I think this is Blackstone Ranger territory, like from the 1960's. Basically raw all my life. BUT.... Those brick apts, greystones, etc have withstood time. I see developers coming in, "moving", taxin, folk out, cleaning up that property that is relatively close to the lake, downtown, and the "L". Easily, with work $2k/mo apts and $400-700K flats. I'll roll thru one AM on my next visit.
This look like some good ass areas but looks is deceiving. California hoods like a hell. You know you not where you supposed to be when you stumble into them mfers
Cali hoods DO NOT look bad besides the projects... them mfs be standing in front of houses with greeb grass and palm trees talking bout "We crippin!". Want to see something grimey? Come to Brooklyn and see the trenches.
@@showmestatefinest5412 cali big bro lol. If you think all Cali look clean you don't know the state. Place is a fucking dump. Im saying the high crime areas in the bay area look like hell man.
It looks so gloomy and deserted. Where is everyone?? What are these houses? Mini apartments? Why are all the buildings so close together? Why is everything made of bricks? This looks abandoned. It looks depressing . Is this low income housing?? Imagine going home to these ugly outdated apartments everyday. Wow..
It doesn't look that bad at all, nice cars everywhere too. I've grown up in worse areas than that, from the look at it. Difference is tho everyone had a job and no one had a gun.
Chicago is the 7th richest city in the world bu GDP. Ofc no bums or tents. The poor in Chicago can afford Benzs. High wages and affordable housing gets you that

I am from Serbia and last week i had to go to the DMV to get my DL. I was going by bus, 3 King drive, i i know i will me going thru here. I was the only white man in the bus but everything was ok😅. But those alleys are scary broo. I respect the hood but you never know...

Wow know one was concerned about Chicago until all the gang's were beefing King von really put it on the map have a billboard on the block rest King von
What’s so scary about that block nothing people make it worse Then what it is if it’s dangerous why it’s the people that stay their that make it dangerous by doing stupid ignorant stuff killing and foolishness
Why the side streets so inactive maybe cuz it’s 9 but it’s almost like nobody can drive thru there so they’re alerted when ppl do. Also I wanna know when the next generation move there (63rd, oblock, etc) & takeover do they pick up where everybody left off & adapt to their new habitat. If so it’ll never end until buildings are knocked
Im from N.Y and im not use to seeing hella grouped up people hanging on the block, not dissing Chicago but it looks dead out there but maybe im bugging idk

Those houses big as hell
Ain’t gonna lie this the fastest we seen you drive 😂😂😂
😅😅😅 "they all scared to come over here...that's why they all speed through here" -DUCK
Bro was scared asf
😭😭😭😭😭
Who wouldn't be scared driving through there lol. For real though I driven through parts of Mexico that make this look like Disney World compared to what is in parts of Mexico. Generally tho if you mind your business when passing through hoods or sketchy areas in general 99% of the time nothing will happen to you. I cannot guarantee anything so don't take my word for it
There’s nun wrong w passing a hood. The only problem about driving thru a hood u not from is when the car in front of you stopping traffic talking to somebody outside in the street lol. It’s so many situations that can play out if u not patient.
Man that is a rough area you drove past a lot of history bro
Dam they don't have corner stores nothing but apartments
I live in Philly to and this place is beautiful compared to Kensington
It's the same buildings you find in the rich neighborhoods. Some of the apartments in them are beautiful.
Chicago housing stock is excellent and the City makes you keep your rental property up to code. Real estate is worth a fortune, even in the hood.
@@donnelladams8362 Same buildings in Philly look nasty or nice, depending on how clean the neighborhood is.
I don't know how people could live or work in Kensington. I couldn't walk half a block there without vomiting.
Facts and this is a uglier side of the city, Chicago actually look good. Some hoods would fool you and make you put your guard down 💯
Chicago gotta be the nicest looking rough city lol
Now compare 63rd and O Block, ones a damn gated community 😂 I see why them boys talk a lot

@blksxp me homie who da fuck u think
@blksxp you from the goodie neighborhood
Notice the condition of the all the cars parked out there. Its nothing different than what you would see in the suburbs. No rusty holes, plastic bags over the window, type stuff that ive seen for people that are REALLY going through it. This is why its funny when I hear rappers talk about being from the "trenches". You might be from a low income neighborhood, but its not the trenches. The trenches are neighborhoods in brazil and africa, with no working water, no cars, etc.
Stop gate keeping poverty lol
The Favelas ain't shit compared to say, rural Ethiopia, but you think that makes them feel better?
Fr. I've been to Mexico and this is Disney Land compared to parts of Mexico. It shows how fortunate we are in America
Bruh i seen the plastic bag windows and rusty cars in TORONTO hoods and that doesnt mean that its worse here than in this video
The cars still look pretty nice and decent in the hood
Chicago is rich. Mo benzs than tents
The stone houses look so nice.
This looks so barren, empty, and depressing.

Not bad as architecture...sad no people outside..
