The vibrato, the voice of the oboe, gets me in the heart every time. Gorgeous I have no clue how you can play so long with one breath. It's pretty awesome.
@@orgazine1816 You're right, we take much much less air to play than other woodwinds, sometimes we even have to breathe out then inhale again to continue playing!
@@Evanw10282 woodwinds are kind of a trade off from brass, you can't just slap on a mouthpiece and play instantly you have to wet a reed and deal with Reed's breaking, making reeds, reed, reed, reed, reed, REED! I. HATE. OBOE REED. PROBLEMS.
I can’t tell if I’m crying because you did such a good job and I could feel the emotion or if I’m just extremely jealous I can’t play it that smooth on my oboe.
Levi Kitty22 so hard specially if your retired teacher used to be one of the best on his time... oh and russian teachers are a little too severe. But that's not so bad, you get used to and that's awesome because they make you become better and better.

You brought us a very gentle melody even though the effort to create it was not gentle. Like a ballet dancer, giving viewers elegant dance moves even though the effort to create them is very hard.

As a young lad I used to play the oboe. My instructor was a bit of a jerk so I quit band at a somewhat young age. I'd love to try again at some point in my life.

@@Edgbear oh cool!! this was like a year ago and im straight up cringing at how i used to speak. anyway a lot of stuff happened this year and I had to stop playing guitar and taking piano lessons which sucks :/ but lots of my friends play oboe and they like it lots, but i dont love the sound of it that much tbh but thanks for the suggestion :D
e garcia it’s ok to not like a sound of a certain instrument, you do what you love and if you don’t like the piano lessons (UA-cam is actually kinda helpful sometimes if you find the right you tuber) that you are being taught right now, you can talk to your teacher about it. Have fun with the piano :D
Playing oboe uses surprisingly less air compared to say, clarinet. Oboe bore size and mouthpiece is small therefore not very much air is needed to produce sound.

I feel like the sound isn't oboe its violin or its that there is another person playing with the main guy
Duo to the Oboe sounding odd it may seem like a violin but it defiently isn't.
A violin can't do vibrato!
