I'm new to planning and journalling and I just got my first hobonichi weeks. I've been watching plenty of youtube for inspiration and your approach really speaks to me. i/ love the whimsy and fun of it, and the idea of decorating ahead to give yourself a joyful surprise in the future.
Your first Hobonichi Weeks how fun! It’s such a versatile planner. I’m happy that this joyful approach resonated with you ☺️ I like that it still leaves room for all the practicalities that one might need from their planner, while also being fun ☺️
I used to use Hobonichi Weeks and Cousin...but the more I got in touch with myself I realized it made me feel boxed in. So I buy TRP bound books and draw out my weekly layout over the weekend. I used to create my own appointment sheets when midwives were still charting on paper years ago. So I created the areas I needed in a way that makes sense to me...then in between the planning parts, I journal freely my thoughts, and write out what I call "Heart Thoughts" but others might think of as prayers. I love collage so I use stickers and glue-ables to decorate and watercolors to prep some pages...and then fountain pens and brush pens and of course my favorite Jetstream 4 +1. I am so glad I found you and am enjoying watching all of your videos one by one. So nice to find someone similar to my 59 year old self! Good day to you and thanks for all you share!
Oh that's neat that you make your own layouts and create exactly what you need! The best planners and journals are always the ones that work the best for you. I very much like the notion of "Heart Thoughts". Thank you so much for watching and leaving such supportive and thoughtful comments!
This was such a fun video! I don’t usually do pre decorating in my weeks, I usually add as the week progresses though sometimes I will spontaneously decorate before the week starts😊I love the little auntie cat! & miss potter is one of my favorite movies 🥹I always cry though!
Thank you Isabel! I really appreciate your kind words! Yes Miss Potter is such a charming movie, albeit sad :( I'm so glad you like my auntie cat! I've become quite attached to her and it's very rewarding to hear that she resonates with others as well :)
I finally got a Hobonichi for the first time and I'm excited to try decorating. ETA: I have a lot of stuff I have to track for my health, which is why I think I did the opposite of what most people do. I got a Cousin for my planner and a Weeks to use for my tarot journal. Mostly I will just track things in the Cousin daily but I might create some overviews in the monthly or yearly for ease of reference.
That sounds like a smart setup! I bet the Weeks is a nice format for a tarot journal. Do you use your cards daily? Or are you planning on just using the weekly spread as a week, rather than the days? (I hope the phrasing of my question makes sense).
@@MaikeOatley Yes, your question makes sense! I do daily pulls currently but I want to shift to spending a week in contemplation with each card in order. Between the 52 weekly spreads and the notes pages, there should be enough spreads for all 78 cards.
I love your videos! So beautiful to watch you create and feature your Collage Club characters. Winnie is just soo charming! I love that you describe the cat characters and give them personality. It makes it even more meaningful when I get to use them and think of your anecdotes!
Aw thank you so much Aileen! You're the best! This comment means so much to me. And I'm very glad you like my auntie cat! I've become quite attached to her and it's very rewarding to hear that she resonates with others as well :)
"I realized that I deserve joy." Yes!
So glad this resonates with you! 💖

I hear you! I am thinking along similar lines, Weeks for Tarot Astrology, but still prevaricating!

Hello, will you be doing a journal/planner lineup video for 2024?
Yes I will ☺️ I’m hoping to have that out soon.
