Hey there. Great video. Just Xenomorph one of my favorite ever since i was child.
I am new to the sculptor. And I'm still looking for material suitable for large projects and material suitable for small projects.
When I ask about clay that people use, I ask from a practical point of view (price and quality of clay).
For example, I use water-based clay for large projects. But I use Sculpey for the little ones.
But I like using Sculpey more than water-based clay.
So I'm looking around using Sculpey for the bigger projects, but a large projects Sculpey is getting too expensive for me. For this I am looking for oil-based Sculpey equivalents (substitutes).
So any names of clays you use and tips on switching between clays for some projects and different clays for other projects?

Thanks so much for the comments! Sculpey is my favorite but you’re correct about the price being expensive. I’ve recently used Monster Clay, which is much cheaper and is excellent for creating details. It needs to be heated to be used. The only downside is that it doesn’t ever harden solid like Air-Dry clay and cannot be baked to harden like Sculpey. It hardens only enough to stand and be displayed, which works fine if you’re in a lukewarm state like NY. In a hot state, it would always be soft.

Yes, I have heard about Monster Clay. He always looks good on video. I know if I like material when i see his resistance of a material in its final processing of the sculptor. So in videos that I've seen of Monster Clay working the way the material reacts to finishing tools it looks nice and hard like hardened wax or something.
But I have never used Monster Clay because here where I am Monster Clay is not delivered. This is one of the few materials I haven't tried yet. But what you say about Monster Clay never getting hard unlike Sculpey is a problem for me because I'm looking a material for a toy effect. Apparently Monster Clay is good for sculptor practice and castings, but not for finished work.

Hola amigo. La plastilina o arcilla se llama ‘Sculpey’. El papel aluminio es solo para llenar adentro de la escultura para conservar plastilina. Es solo para rellenar. Mas aluminio = menos plastilina. 😊
