I own one of these and it is excellent. It gets lots of looks and complements. I love the sound and can go fast when it needs to. The MPG isn't bad (25-26 on highway, 19 around town). Trunk is huge. Difficulty getting in and out of the back seat make it not a good choice as a family car although back seat comfort is fine.
@ChallengerGuy22 I do agree with you there and I won't deny that the new challengers MORE than qualify as daily drivers. However I'm talking about the people looking buying these new muscle cars strictly for performance racing.
No the SRT is most definitely worth the extra because is not just the motor that's better, the suspension and brembo brakes are superior and as hefty as they are most definitely makes a big difference in handling additionally. I actually have one personally and waited until I could get one and passed on the RT, so I'm experienced in know these cars very well
A lot of people saying SRT's arent' worth the price tag paying an extra 14k+ for a few ponies and a bigger engine. However; the scaling of hp when you supercharge has an insane difference. The RT's supercharge go to about 500+ HP but the SRT's scale up to 901 HP (Kenne Bell Hellcat Blower kit). So there's the value right there. Thats a 125 HP boost vs a 425+ hp boost.
+noobtube1210 I think if your going for pure performance sure the SRT is the way to go, but the standard RT makes plenty of ponies. But the major thing is if your gonna use it as your daily, the fuel consumption difference per how much power your making just isn't worth it.
I agree. The R/T makes more sense than the SRT8 in terms of performance per dollar. I always liked the original Road Runner. All performance. No frills. Bench seats. Vinyl floor mats. Since the R/T offers a 5.7 liter Hemi V8 and the 6 speed manual, what more could one want?
I honestly feel so bad for girls that make car reviews on UA-cam. The comments on these videos are fucking disgusting. Great review though. Short and to the point. Most people just talk about the little things that don't matter in the car.
Going to look at a black 2012 rt challenger next week can't wait. Would love to have an srt 8 but there about 15,000 more than that rt so I will upgrade it myself. Dennis the menace
Nice car I have one in the driveway. Silver R/T Classic like the one she is driving. One mistake in what she says it is 375 HP not 372. 372 is in the automatic and 375 for the 6 speed trans.
I own one, She is right in what she says, I love it. If you are saving up for one you will not be dissapointed.. I have the Super Track Pack on mine and you should opt for it if you can, It improves the handling a lot.
i just bought my 2013 dodge challenger rt. all white. love it. the retro look is second to none. i love the power and comfort. gt is too small. faster but everyone has one like an asshole.
I have a 2010 red RT. I wish Dodge would have painted the white cars Alpine white like the 70s cars. The bright white doesn't come off as well. I removed the RAM badge and went w a MOPAR one. Good for you girl and enjoy your car and you would look good driving a beater car.
@firebat42 your a mopar guy talking about building a 69 maro w/ a 502? I'm a mopar guy and that would never occur to me most people aren't purchasing this car to run 10s maybe one half of one percent but prolly not even that many they buy them for a nice daily driver a great road trip car classic lines with all modern options the comfort, the better gas millage, quiet ride, reliability, warranty,u can survive a wreck, u don't have to know how to work on it,or they wanted both a 70 and a new one
Just noticed something on the 6 Speed. Reverse is up and to the far right. How do you shift from 4th into 5th gear without going into reverse. Is there some type of lockout feature there?
I personally think it's not worth the money to spend 30K for a car that only gives 375HP I can buy a 1969 Camaro for 17K Dump in a 502 CID BB engine for 7K, spend another couple thousand on traction bars & suspension, and bam: I have a 10 second car for the 1/4 mile. I like the challengers ( I'm a mopar guy), but it just seems impractical for the amount of money I have to spend to get the slightest bit of performance. In my opinion, you're just better off getting a classic challenger.
I jus like that old 440 sound and itd be different. Dont really care bout ruinin it, if done right it could possibly be a whole new monster of its own.
Instead of doing that and ruining a perfectly good R/T just spend the money anyway and get the SRT8 model. I own the 2012 R/T and it is no slouch, But I do agree that it could always use more power..
This is a shame. I love the look of the challenger, but that's about it. People don't buy muscle cars just to have a daily driver. The gas mileage isn't that great. If you want a daily driver, go get a Camry. I am very disappointed in dodge. I would buy a mustang 5.0 over this car any day. that is what a muscle car is truly about.
do spend the extra 12 G"s on the SRT-8 version... not only the the 6.1 but better suspension, better interior options, better transmission, lighter weight parts, blah blah blah. SRT= Street Race Tuned. but yah shes hot anyways...
I don`t know why people are excited about this girl, she is just reading scripted text. Now if she was doing work on a car or doing fast laps,ok. But just driving around reading the window sticker,my Mom can do that.
She likes muscle cars. Thats good. Now if she were a gamer then she would be the complete package! Hot, likes muscle cars and enjoys a round of skyrim! Woot!
I own one of these and it is excellent. It gets lots of looks and complements. I love the sound and can go fast when it needs to. The MPG isn't bad (25-26 on highway, 19 around town). Trunk is huge. The suspension was improved with the 2011 models, it can handle the curves a bit better now.

I agree, the V8 Challenger is an awesome Muscle Car. I love my 2020 RT Plus Shaker 6 speed....
I agree.

Kerry Colwell that cuz some ppl. Cant enjoy something with out a negative comment..but those people are nobodys so thet put others down
Going to look at a black 2012 rt challenger next week can't wait. Would love to have an srt 8 but there about 15,000 more than that rt so I will upgrade it myself. Dennis the menace
The background music is so fitting for this car.
Nice car I have one in the driveway. Silver R/T Classic like the one she is driving. One mistake in what she says it is 375 HP not 372. 372 is in the automatic and 375 for the 6 speed trans.

Nothing sexier that a girl driving a muscle car with a manual transmission.
Oh My god Thank You for Existing I thought nobody would ever reply.
Seriously Thank You.
my rt is all white also. i love it 2013. looks mean from the front.
what is that AMAZING old western-ish song you used for this video?
I have a 2010 red RT. I wish Dodge would have painted the white cars Alpine white like the 70s cars. The bright white doesn't come off as well. I removed the RAM badge and went w a MOPAR one. Good for you girl and enjoy your car and you would look good driving a beater car.
Is that a DENT above the challenger emblem? 00:20

Probably gets even more looks with you driving it😊
I have 159,000 on my 10 R/T
If i had it i would take the 5.7 out an put an old school 440 in wit a 4speed manual.. an redo the suspension a bit
Just noticed something on the 6 Speed. Reverse is up and to the far right. How do you shift from 4th into 5th gear without going into reverse. Is there some type of lockout feature there?
The transmission will not let you go into a reverse gear is your going more the 5-10mph fwd.
patw0000 Thank you. You answered my question.
It wont let it go into reverse.
patw0000 That question has been on my mind for years. Thanks.
Question: Would you take her home to mom - with her driving the Challenger?
I personally think it's not worth the money to spend 30K for a car that only gives 375HP

can someone please just tell me what the song is in the beginning of the video? ffs.
It's her - just different drive days, different nail polish :)
My RT is white as well. I love it. People stare at it all the time.
@NapoleonSolo37 I definitely agree, but...I see no ring :D
This is a shame. I love the look of the challenger, but that's about it. People don't buy muscle cars just to have a daily driver. The gas mileage isn't that great. You made some good points, now all we need is a MAN to say it so we can take it seriously.
You got that right!
do spend the extra 12 G"s on the SRT-8 version... not only the the 6.1 but better suspension, better interior options, better transmission, lighter weight parts, blah blah blah. SRT= Street Race Tuned. but yah shes hot anyways...
hence why I put in an order for the 2012 SRT8 lol insane as I am.
I'm debating on trading my Ram 1500 in on one of these badboys..
I wouldn't spend an extra 12k on a 6.1 liter but i would spend 12k on a 6.4 liter. Hence, if you gonna go srt make sure that bitch is a 2011 or newer.
is it me, or do you enjoys a female talking Car talk and reviews more than some dumpy old guy? there aught to be more female reviewers.
the sounds that Challenger make is so awesome, hell yah its better than sex :)
I don`t know why people are excited about this girl, she is just reading scripted text. Now if she was doing work on a car or doing fast laps,ok. But just driving around reading the window sticker,my Mom can do that.
Sure would, ya betcha!
She likes muscle cars. Thats good. Now if she were a gamer then she would be the complete package! Hot, likes muscle cars and enjoys a round of skyrim! Woot!
