@@caske77 do you guys know how Oden lost his eye he sacrificed it I can’t exactly remember what he gave it to, but they gave him so much power even rivals all the infinity stones well in the comics at least they probably NERFED it like everything they do
I don’t think Thanos necessarily feared anything, not even Death💀. He was a master strategist and extremely patient. And when it came to completing his mission he was also cautious at times. He would have known of Odis’s power, most likely even respected it. As he did with Stark during the Battle of Titan. Thanos made his move almost immediately after Ragnarök because he knew Hela’s return meant Odin’s death. He also knew it meant Thor, Loki, and the Asgardian’s were vulnerable and the Space Stone was his for the taking. The perfect time to begin his conquest for the Stones.
@kevjd24 not to disagree with you....bit literally asgardians are the only thing thanos feared....and I think you underestimate odin....the 9 reams were under odin's protection,if thanos wasn't afraid he would have invaded them anyways just like he did to other planets....like odin is practically invincible....
@@x_xeavia9532 You are assuming fear is the reason he didn’t start his conquest sooner, but it was more likely strategy. He most likely knew of Odin’s great power (and Hela’s) and the control Odin had over the 9 realms. If he knew about Surtr and Ragnarok, which it seems like he did, then once the 9 realms plunged into chaos after Loki trapped Odin, then instead of battling a very powerful Asgardian army, led by either Odin or Hela, all he needs to do is wait until Asgard is destroyed, show up and steal the Space Stone. That’s strategy. Btw, I love Odin. “A wise king never seeks out war, but must always be ready for it.” -Odin the All-Father
@majzerofive not really. They already introduced Eternity. And they could easily explain the difference between Cosmic entity Death and Planet level God death. In this instance Hela.
@majzerofive yes they didn't explain. But remember Marvel has a lot of fans that have read the comics. And the comic readers are the core fans. And already for years complain that they did not keep Thanos true to his comic book version concerning Death. And remember I am not rallying for them to put death in there I'm just saying that is the difference.
Also, the mind stone manipulates its wielder and anyone else nearby to it's own purposes. Thanos couldn't risk having the mind stone anywhere near him until he has already won: it had to be the last stone.
You know surtur, the giant fire demon that destroys asgard? Yeah odin fought him when he was giant, seperated the eternal flame from him. Thanos would not have a chance.
I think Thanos also knew about the consciousness within the mindstone that would eventually become Ultron. I think Thanos had a plan A and a plan B. Loki succeeding was plan A, but I think he always expected Loki to fail and if he didn’t fail, that would just be a bonus win. But, I think plan B was for Loki to fail, then the mindstone would fall into the hands of the humans who’s ignorant curiosity would lead them to meddle with the intelligence they would discover within the mindstone, accidentally releasing it (Ultron) who would then destroy half or more of all life on the planet. I think Thanos was very familiar with who and what Ultron was, having probably put him in the mindstone directly. Despite What If…, I think Thanos had an easy way to defeat Ultron and planned on coming to Earth once Ultron finished wiping out life on the planet and then just easily taking out Ultron and recollecting the mindstone. It was only after Ultron failed that Thanos had to revert to a plan C which was him doing it all himself.
Thats why he says at the end of “Age of Ultron” in the post credits scene while grabbing the gauntlet “fine, I’ll do it myself” because that Ultron plan didn’t go the way he wanted it to.
This type of attention to detail across movies is why the Infinity saga will always be the best you’re going to see from the MCU. The continuity and random hints and details you find when rewatching is crazy.
This can be true yes. Because Bifrost was gone and there wasn't any other way but Odin use something to send Thor to Earth which is "Dark Magic". Other part is true too. Rocket and Thor saw that infinity gauntlet was been made. It could be different sizes until it fits Thanos hand perfectly.
The comic book version of the story is so much better than anything Disney conjured up. They even changed the reason why Thanos was taking half of the people from the universe. He was trying to please his lady Death and court her.
And that's a better movie? Killing half of all life to please the avatar of death? I would have loved it, but you can't act like it was an easy decision.
How come MCU Thanos doesn't use the Infinity Stones to create and provide enough resources for everybody in the universe?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
Forgetting one thing in thor ragnarok Loki cast a spell on Odin was sitting on the throne which was another time the realms wasn’t being watched and Handal was busy saving asgardians to pay attention to the nine realms
This rarely happens in these theory videos, but that makes a shitload of sense. He couldn't make the gauntlet with the old man around, so working out a plan that weakens him into a coma would be the most logical thing. But that raises a question. How does Thanos know about this dark energy transport power and how does he know it would KO Odin? I know he's a genius but still
No, the mindstone sought a consort and avatar and found them on Earth in Wanda Maximoff and the Vision. She's the only human to touch it and live and she hexed Tony who created Ultron who created Vision who became the Mindstone's human incarnation. It/he and Wanda had supernatural children, Billy and Tommy. She became the most powerful human in the MCU. It manipulated Thanos and Loki. It was the Mindstone all along!
If his main goal was to collect all six Infinity Stones and he already had one in his possession to hand it over to someone not knowing if it could get lost hidden forever destroyed and prevent his plan. But the mind Stone actually gave him the mental awareness to know that giving it to Loki was the only way to ultimately collect all 6 it also gave him the mental awareness and intelligence to know the true power of all the Infinity Stones and to know that been together could actually achieve the goals he was trying to achieve. So had he not have had the mind Stone to start you may never have even gathered the rest of them or even been able to put together the plan that would be to use them all synchronously to eradicate half of all life yeah the intelligence and mental awareness to put this plant together because the mind Stone showed in that it was possible if he collected all the stones and would have shown him the path he would have needed to take in order to make that happen which was to start out by giving away the only Stone he had collected so far in order to get the rest of the stone and an to complete the entire set
Fair enough, but Heimdall should have seen it and at the very least been like this guys messing with the dwarves. Weak or not Odin's not just gonna let that slide.

Bruh, Odin said Thor was stronger than himself in Ragnarok and Thanos was shown to be stronger than Thor so I really don’t think he was scared of Odin.
There's a deleted scene from that movie where Thor gets the Odin Force after Odin dies. Thor is not more powerful than Odin, not without the Odin Force at least.
Fragile planet like earth? Thanos and his army get clapped if all superheroes of earth come together including mutants, fantastic four, ghost rider and etc.
But Earth IS one of the nine realms, it's Midgard... So it would have been equally difficult for Odin to reach either place and it would have made more sense for him to send Thor to save the dwarves and stop Thanos and sacrifice Earth so Thanos could never use the stones,
The timeline doesn’t line up. Thanos didn’t visit Nidavellir until after Ragnarok because it’s still under the protection of Asgard. If you’re saying Thanos attacked Nidavellir before the events of Thor: The Dark World, where Odin can be seen at nearly full power, then why didn’t Thor know about it? Why didn’t Odin remove Eitri’s shackles?
