Will ask god to bless Jen Austin. I quote
Right, I'm binge watching all the movies that I would never watch, but as recaps and I love them this way.
Or even skip / fast forward
and it's all free!
So true 😂
I too make rational decisions to take shots at the bar instead of grocery shopping
I was rolling on the floor laughing 🤣🤣🤣 The Critical Drinker would make such a joke. 💀
Ben affleck was basically playing himself
You need help! 😅
Apparently nick was absolutely unbearable in the books and movies made him look like a saint in comparison
Idk I think the movie made him look like an idiot. A big horny idiot. Sleeping with his student, signing off on increasing his wife’s life insurance, and basically he was a gold digger near the end going through Amy’s trust. Plus how could he be so oblivious to how his wife would react if he wasn’t an idiot.
I think they’re both the worst. Nick was no saint but compared to Amy, he’ll be guarding heavens gates.
So they're both horrible people holding a gun to the other's head?
The director is a man. The author is female. Coincidence🤔😏
😅 She's not a slave.Nobody forced her to stay married. They invented divorces for a reason
I nearly spit out my drink when I heard, "On both of her lips." 🤣🤣🤣
Me too😂😂
Like wtf was that🙄😂
"Nick just couldnt resist the sugar on her lips. ON BOTH OF HER LIPS!" Thats gold right there!

Both the lips on her face? 😁
They spent the night doing pushups.

I saw this and I will never see this again. It's just too much reality for me.
Yeah the scary part is it’s not too far fetched from the reality of being with a crazy girl
@J yea thats what the guy already said…. but in case we need clarification, this is really scary because in real life this can actually happen sometimes!
I've not watched the movie yet but as a young woman, the book terrifies me. I've never had a relationship except some casual low commitment situation with a guy for two months and I could still see Nick in that harmless, boyish barely 21 year old. I don't think I'm getting into a relationship with a man anytime soon.
Am I the only one who thinks Gone Girl is scarier than any horror film made this past decade?
Seriously, the way it ends and the music of the credits just freaked me the fuck out. I mean oh my god, Amy just scared the shit out of me, the more I imagined being in Nick's situation, the more chills I got.
Think about it, if Nick left Amy, society would demonize Nick. Some would try telling people the true story of what happened, you see Nick talking to himself in the bathroom and think he is gonna do that. But what's stopping Amy for making her own spin of the story? Who are they gonna believe Nick or Amy? The more I think about it, the more I realize society as a whole don't want to know the whole story. They would rather see the exterior and pretend they know who a person really is. When in reality, we're all liar's, not to the same extent as Amy, but liars none the less. We all play different characters depending on who are friends and family are, rather than being who we are as individuals. We do this so much that we start wondering to ourselves "Who am I?" and forget who we truly are.
You analyzed this film well, man
It really is, freaking too manipulative. just gives the idea people are really the monsters.
Well, take a look at the simp character Neil Patrick Harris played. That is the fate of all simps. Either literally or figuratively.
It really is, freaking too manipulative. just gives the idea people are really the monsters.
this some johnny depp amber herd shit
A masterpiece in so many aspects, the visuals are just perfect and the story couldn't be better

This lady was Amber Heard before Amber Heard.
Oh my god exactly.
Don't disrespect Amy like that😤
Now imagine the men that believe women like amber they are even worst
Not quite
Expect nick is not the victim (none of them are btw)
PSA: If you haven't seen this movie yet, don't recap it. Enjoy it for a first watch, the plot is insane. The book is absolutely fantastic as well. I haven't been glued to a book as much as i was when i read it even knowing what happens, in a long time.
🤓
i've never watched the movie. unfortunately, i read your comment after finishing the recap.

NAH DA DlCKEATIN CRAZYYYY
I've never seen this movie and was going to watch it then when it got more towards the end... I'm not going to.
I can tell it's a great movie. The story is good. I've been through similar situations. I've seen others as well. And this could happen in this society if it hasn't already. There is no probably about it.
I'm over being triggered. Again... looks really good, but Naaahhh I'm good.
Man I am terrified of getting into relationships, knowing people exist like this
Same. I'm afraid i'll either end up with an Amy or a Nick.
My ex-wife
Good for women
"Instead of groceries Nick made the rational decision of going to a bar." 😆
Gone Girl is a pretty accurate description of what vindictive women are not only capable of, but what measures they will take when they're fed up with you. I've dealt with a situation similar to Amy's ex.
Nick is not some innocent little puppy dog who made a small mistake. He intentionally used someone for their money and emotionally manipulated them and took them away from their family, never caring about her emotions or thoughts. He destroyed her confidence and emotions and literally betrayed their entire relationship. Why are we acting like there’s only one narcissist in this situation? Amy makes Nick look like a saint in comparison with her antics and murderous tendencies, but let’s not pretend that Nick was a good person. He showed his truly evil potential in the movie and how manipulative he truly is. What the movie showed was not a victim, but a true pairing of narcissists who were in competition for the last laugh. They’re both users and they’re both awful. More than likely, he’s planning something big to ruin her image like she did to him.
They’re both toxic people
Lol nope.
Amy hated Nick for making her normal. She hated being an average.
Me and my husband was both narcissistic...but he can't handle me as iam smarter than him..I can twist and play good.
As they said, they are both criminals
Sorry but no. Lol. Amy could've left. Sooo dumd!
I loved this movie and the book too it’s honestly one of the rare instances where I can’t pick whether I like the book or movie more because both were so good
Oh, it's a book too? I'm off to Audible to see if it's an audiobook haha. I love crazy bitch stories
"On both of her lips" I cracked up at that!
that ending made me want to punch the wall.
Rosamund Pike is soooo good at playing a psychopath. I wonder if she is going to be typecasted.
So eternal torture for husband

“ On both of her lips” 💀🤣🤣 Savage movie caps savage!
There has got to be a better and less vile way at getting back at your husband than this geezus
So Amy is just walking around and no one recognizes her?
a couple of people do recognize her in the movie
She has new hair and disguises. And some people almost recognise her but she manages to distract them and get away.
This movie was a masterpiece especially that cool girl speech
This is called a cautionary tale.
Love how the writer of this script has slowly become more based
I dated a girl who was arguably worse than this girl.

how?
Can someone explain this movie, I’m still confused.
@@itsnayifay The ending is supposed to be confusing. In short, bad marriage, wife wants her husband to be executed for her murder, so she stages her murder. Halfway she changes her mind and stages a kidnapping instead. She kills her "kidnapper", goes home and tricks her husband into staying married.

Best comment I saw about this movie is that Amy is a villain in a story with no heroes. And after just completing watching it, I can honestly say that while Amy has done the most wrongdoings... there is something very dark about Nick. Same thing with the ex Amy murdered. The way Nick looks at May in the interview... that convinced me that the two deserve each other. Not because both of them are of the same evil, but because both of them understand one another too well. I can imagine a future where they do their part to keep up appearances, but secretly they are crafting just how they can win over the other.
Omg, beautifully put.
nope, shes crazy and deserves to be in prison forever
Amy is a literal murderer. Nick is a lazy selfish asshole that got in over his head. Of course you can sympathise with both characters but at the end of the day Amy was always unhinged. If Nick had killed her or pulled off an elaborate ploy like she did he would deserve zero sympathy. He should have just divorced her as he intended.
I hate your comment..but me and my husband exist in the same situation..
Watch out and take care.
"Nick just couldn't resist the sugar on her lips, on both of her lips" 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Nick is one of Batman's alter ego
I love your channel. I am wondering what the background music track is I really like it. Hope this finds you well
I remember having to watch a recap for this movie from someone else because I was so in shock at the movie theater that the last hour or so didn't even register in my mind
Why do they keep playing her game? Find and burn them. Let her wait forever to be found. The period the movie is set in would have strangers to easily identify a missing person. She didn't he chop off her hair. Amy was the evil partner in all her relationships.
sugar on both lips, horizontal refreshment . coolest recap to listen in a while
Amber's inspiration, except Johnny unlike Nick didn't beat her up since all of the evidence is fake or was self inflicted and no medical records.
Depp is a wife beater sthu
Lol " Nick panicked and close the door"
“On both of her lips”💀
So did she get pregnant with the ex’s baby that she murdered while they were making the baby??? 😂 Poor child.
No. She used her husband's sperm. They originally planned to have a IVF baby, so he deposited his seed in a facility. She then changed her mind and didn't want the baby. Only she lied and secretly stashed his sperm, just in case she changed her mind again. She played a very sophisticated long game.
@@sinogarcon i watched the movie on netflix he said: “I didn’t even touch u” after she told him she was pregnant. So it was her ex’s baby. He was the last guy she slept with before she returned to her husband.
@@artsyhyd I advise you rewatch the snipts where he and his sister having a row in his house after she found out he was cheating with his student. He told his sister that he and his wife were planning to have a baby but later she changed her mind. That's where she got his sperm. Sexual intercourse isn't necessarily the only means to get a woman pregnant.

"On both of her lips" 💀
This was loosely based on the Laci Peterson killing, which if you want to find out the story of Laci Peterson you should watch the movie The Perfect Husband with Dean Cain
I actually suspect the director and the author/screenwriter secretly made the film based on the actor's life and his several love interests in the early aughts. Amy reminds me of Gwyneth Paltrow, Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez, Jennifer Garner.
Nick asked God to bless Jane Austen 🤣🤣🤣
