def. one of my fav. Tori videos. she looks beautiful here. I prefer this song on the piano rather than the keyboards but the voice is still stunning. thanks so much for posting.
IMO, Tori can do no wrong. She could sing the phonebook and I'd still be totally in love with her music. Although 'Choirgirl' is my fav album, Venus is close behind as is Scarlet. And I LOVE American Doll Posse. It took me ages to get into "The Beekeeper" but now I love it also. Can't wait for the new album
She also changed the lyrics: "Thought I knew myself so well, All the dolls I had". To "Thought I knew my words so well, All the doubts I hide." Just because she forgot the lyrics, that is the most beautiful mistake I've seen and heard!
Even with the mess up in the middle this is definitely the best version I have heard of this song. No funky sounding drum cadence or other instruments taking away from the purity of just her voice and the piano.
Absolutely. I have seen her three times, and it never fails to be an amazing experience. (On the Dew Drop Inn tour, I even had the privelege of meeting her backstage!)
Quite obviously she did not forget the lyrics..........the very next lyrics as someone wrote further down......."thought I knew my words so well"......she's a genius!!!
Yup. "Boys For Pele" was repackaged after the release of the Prof. Wid remix and left off '..Voodoo' in the place of the remix and swapped 'Hey Jupiter' with the Dakota Version and the original "Talula" with 'The Tornado Mix'.
I've got it. I have both versions of BFP. And I have it on vinyl. She never plays the original tho with the 'thought I knew myself' verse. I've never heard it anyway. The boots I've heard from DDI tour don't have it on either.
I had no idea her real name was Myra Ellen until a few days ago.. And is she originally a brunette? I saw some old pictures of her, and there her hair was dark, not red.. Anyways, she is one of my favorite artists..
Not too surprising, considering people are mixing so much today. Soon American-Indians/Native-Americans will commonly have blue eyes and blond hair like many Anglos, and many Anglos will have dark brown eyes and hair. I'm dominantly German but have brunette hair and dark hazel/brown eyes (depending on the light).
anti-perspirant what! :D how perfect, "thought I knew my words so well" and "wouldn't have to be with you a magazine", that's right you don't, Tori. God I love her.
But she and her mother have very light skin, etc? They don't even have brown eyes..I don't get how they can have this heritage when it doesn't look that way at all..
I love how after she messes up she really puts everything she has into the end of the song. She's a true performer!
This is a treasure. Tori has always had an amazing sense of humor and awareness of imperfection. It's why us fans adore her.

one of the best versions. even with the mess up.
love her so hard.

She is so magical, everything is so perfect in this video, she just kept me smiling then soul mesmerized! She is ever so amazing, no matter what!
In ancient times, if she were a siren beckoning from jagged rocks and I'm a sea captain, my ship stands no chance.
Even with the mess up in the middle this is definitely the best version I have heard of this song. No funky sounding drum cadence or other instruments taking away from the purity of just her voice and the piano.
This is the most beautiful live performance of this song. It was sweet hearing her say Marcel, That's my son's name.
♥ this... My favorite Tori Amos song.
"though i knew my words so well" lol, absoluteley love it. Thank-you.
AWESOME PERFORMER!!!
Absolutely. I have seen her three times, and it never fails to be an amazing experience. (On the Dew Drop Inn tour, I even had the privelege of meeting her backstage!)

Um, so talented! Please play two pianos at once and sing in your highest voice, not looking at either set of keys... luv u tori!

I've got it.

lol, she's adorable.
Tori hasn't touched a piano during 'Hey Jupiter' since 2001.
the Best!!
Actually the lyrics are 'thought I knew mySELF so well', she added the 'words' as an ad lib because she forgot them.
Never thought about it..A lot of people have high cheek bones without having native ancestry..
she so cute!!
tori made me smile sticking the quick cheeky tongue out of mouth.
Do you know why it's called that (Scarlet's Walk)?
oh sorry.
I haven't heard a 'Hey Jupiter' with the 'thought a new myself so well' verese....ever.
Lol Tori rules!!!
im blue and right here.
Take To The Sky was never on an album?
how deliciously ironic!
it is a rehearsal though.
funniest thing ever!!
I uploaded this audio with the talking and dead air removed so that it is just the song. Come by my page to find it
Russ Wayne : I especially like the "dead air and talking"

Regarding her hair I could never picture her any different now..:) Funny thing.
OMFG!!!

I’m not worthy
funny funny. she forgets the lyrics. "h comes before j" he he. Gotta love her anyway. :)

(Na = and)..misspelling
Na I found out she is of Native American heritage (her mom is)..Neither she nor her mom looks native American..Strange.
amazing (L)
I guess I thought native Americans were dark..Now I know they aren't..
But she and her mother have very light skin, etc? They don't even have brown eyes..I don't get how they can have this heritage when it doesn't look that way at all..
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.......
