Working on my one take skills. Not sure why my mic cuts out a few times. Yay more issues to deal with.
Here is the most brain dead way to take out Guardian Ape in Phase 1. Also a little flex at the end, with an OK speedstrat.

Definitely helps. Can't get it down every time, but for the most part this is really helpful even if you whiffed it in the beginning

I picked up Sekiro after beating all other from software games, I actually struggle more at the 2nd phase, btw awesome video I wish I saw this sooner

still strongly suggested to fight it out with him in the first few play throughs, sadly it trivializes the fight :(

In the second phase he doesn’t do the the attack that makes me able to stager him
Hey I can probably help you. There is a scream, and two other melee type attacks that come out most common. One is like a stab and the other is like a swipe. The stab is slightly distanced away from him. The screams and swipe are up close attacks
I think I know what he is talking about, same happened to me.
Main Ape was like that, but the headless one had that attack variation with him, probably because I was more aggressive the second time?
I would say if you parry his attacks he will eventually attack you with the vertical attack one, if you perfect parry it you will he able to use the spear to his neck.
this game is 5 years old and many more souls games are way older and u ppl just keep makin vids of these games to look so stupid to all of us .. u play on easy mod or just with the half of the things that the game actually offers u .. no demon bell and no balls in ur pants as well , practise .. get good , get tilt and win the fck out of it there's no reason for fake cheeses like these u ruining the game and the half expirience of it is gettin lost entirely
i playin him with fire axe and burn status ..this is more challenging and fair tbh and more effective to sit down and use brain of how and why these bosses are made like this .. stop copying these stupid cheese tactics .. anyone new in the game who gonna fall in this vids now ..gonna lose as i said the half expirience of the game for no reason at all .. no man , u need the struggle , generally these games are teachin u how to actually overcome hardships in all things , thats my raw opinion.
So you're saying everyone has to struggle to play this game? They spent 30 dollars now, becuase they more than likely got the game on sale, and are struggling on a boss, or learning a speedrun, you are saying they HAVE to struggle. Its still a video game at the end of the day, when you turn it off life exists, and the player only wanted to spend 30 hours on it. Its their game, their purchase, no one cares how you you think they should play it.

It’s a combat art that will be available for you now. Like would replace ichimonji or whirlwind slash that you might be using already
In second method, how do you started mortal draw in air? When I spam it in air, it either blocks or attacks. And I can barely start mortal draw after jump, because there some delay after landing. Is there any skills you learned to do this?
First you need a skill called Mid Air Combat Arts in the shinobi arts. Second, when you jump, block first then press R1
(its really doing them both at the same time, but if you press R1 a frame earlier, you will get the air attack.
The posture damage you dealt is three times than mine.
so there are a few contributing factors. Mortal draw straight up blasts things. Add in Mid air combat arts for what ever reason have Mortal draw hitting twice, then you add yashiriku sugar which is a 50% buff, and Ape takes 2x posture damage to the head hit box. So if Mortal draw does - 500 posture damage ( I dont remember the actual hit amount), 2x, 2x, 1.5x gives you 6x the damage return off 3 spirit emblems.
