3 years later I'm still using it. I can stream NFL games on my fire stick I jail broke while using my tablet and laptop. I trade stocks so I can sit anywhere I have cell service and set up my laptop and tablet and trade. I have turned so many people on to netshare because of you. Are you having issues with Netflix recognizing the NetShare ? Everything else works on my Fire TV , unfortunately Netflix is showing a ' No Internet ' error message on my fire tv .

If you are able to set your name and password on Netshare app, then you don't need to do the whole process on the Firestick.
If you can't set your own name and password on netshare app, and it says the Android system random select you a random name and password then on your fire stick, you will need to log in each time.
You don't need to do the security menu each time, but need to log in the random wifi name and password which is pain if your phone Netshare app doesn't allow you to custom your wifi log in app and password.
In order to able set your own name and password in netshare app, I believe you need Android 10 and above to get this feature.
Hope you able to change your name and password which is super more convenient. ✌️
About Netflix I haven't tried it yet, but I will give it a try, and let you know if it works or not on my end here.
If it doesn't work, I assume because Netflix doesn't allow proxy, not sure but just assume. Will let you know once I tried it.

Good that you let me know, from my initial test, Netflix doesn't work with netshare. I would assume netshare doesn't like Proxy setting. I'll keep playing with it and let you know if there is a work around. Thanks so much for letting me know 👍

Hey after connecting to this app for wi fi hotspot, UA-cam app isn't working in my Amazon fire tv stick . How do i fix that . Every time I open UA-cam app it shows either blank screen or no network. Please help me out . I really need to fix this issue .

To be honest, I don't have a Xbox and haven't try it. Some people had success, some don't, I would assume even if success the experience probably won't be excellent.
Once again I haven't tried it, but the concept is the same, find the manual proxy, enter the proxy and ports. ✌️
I've set the proxy as shown in your video, I am connected with no internet. I have gotten it to work on my pc so I know the app is good. Firestick is just not showing internet after this process. Any ideas?

The fire stick, for sure Netflix will not work and some streaming apps. Check basic web browsing and see if they works first. Thanks ✌️
@@ProTecStation the home screen shows no connection. I've tried to manually launch the browser through the settings, no luck. Firestick is up to date as well. Shows "connected, no internet." I verified through the settings the proxy and port is set correctly. So it's reading the wifi, just not transferring the data.

For sure no good, that's why Netflix stock drop more than 60% year to date.
You can use the Netflix from netshare app sharing to Tablet or another phone or so, just not in Amazon fire stick. ✌️

My firestick does not have a menu button. Can you describe the button I should press twice?
im so close, but i get to the step of the secret menu. Input the proxy and port as you showed. Go back to the home screen network still has no internet. Im soooo close to actually having home internet, why wont the carriers let us use our data how we want! I have a samsung galaxy A11 not sure if that matters its a newer android and firestick is few years old. Updated the software as you instructed as well. Anyway still subbed your videos are awesome sir ✊
I also have the same issue. After imputing the proxy settings and switching it to manual when I click save it automatically takes me to the home screen without saving. When I pull the secret menu back up the proxy settings are set to none instead of manual even though I clicked save. I've put it in 100 times same thing happens.

I have an Android Smart TV , I did everything correctly as well and it says is connected on the network settings , but nothing works .
Besides the Android TV, try connect it with a tablet or another device and see if that works in the 1st place. Sometime Android TV my be a little tricker than a tablet or so.
Give it a try 1st, just wanted to make sure it fundamentally works, and go from there. 🤞

Try keep updating your Firestick, I had to do it like 7 times, and took hours to update so many times. Keep doing it until you reach to the version that I mentioned in the video . Then you should able to get the secret menu.✌️

You may need to keep updating if that is the case until you are able to unlock the secret menu.
@@ProTecStation it’s one of the newer models that has a power button and volume buttons on the remote. It says I’m up to date. Maybe I’ll try one of the other fire sticks.
Can you update video for Firestick 4K with OS 6.2. There is no hidden menu for proxy. its in the password box under advanced and asking for different criteria.
I have lots of 4K viewers telling me the same situation, probably they don't have that secret menu for the newer sticks. For sure will update all if I found a solution, please stay tune ✌️

Once you setup the manual proxy ports, the fire stick should remember the settings, so you don't have to manually reenter again.

Wasn't working at first won't work on an older ( 2009-2011 ) MacBook or iMac ..but connects to my windows computer running windows 10 pro. That connected to my tv and projector ..thanks ! ...make sure you set the proxy

Thanks so much for sharing your results. You are right, not everything works. I guess the online games don't like the proxy and ports setting caused by netshare app.

Thanks for letting me know, for me once you are able to input the proxy and port it should work. Make sure you are able to input the port 8282
Did you say my phone needs to be android 10 or above to run Netshare? It is 3 or 4 years old so I know it isn't.
Android 10 will be much better experience, because the netshare network name and password will be the same. No need the hassle to retype it each time log in.
Android 10 below will work, but will be a hassle to always type in all the info each session.✌️

You need to have unlimited data on your phone , you can still do it if you don't have unlimited data but beware of overage.

I heard a lot of my viewers having trouble accessing secret menu from 4k version, could be a possibility that Amazon patched the secret menu unfortunately.

I can connect to the DIRECT-NS from my firestick as well as my laptop, but both say connected "no internet"... I've put in the correct proxy through dev tools, but still can't get internet..
Older fire stick will work, for laptop no internet, try open web browser and do a quick browse and see if that works or not ✌️
@@ProTecStation My fire stick is updated to the newer build, neither will work. Fire stick wont even open the home page... The laptop is the same. Page cannot be displayed. I put the proxy in both. I also had all of this working when I tested a month ago.

Try to open UA-cam and see if that will load?

How do I use the netshare app for t95 andriod box?
As long your T95 give you an option to manually input Proxy 192.168.49.1 and port 8282 then it should world, double check under wifi or network settings to see if there is such option 🤞
Why is there such a speed difference when I use the netshare app on my samsung A71 5g and my samsung 7 lite tablet.

Hey so I have the Net share app and for it being free it gets the job done. The only thing is on my tablet it says it not connected to internet but the internet works... then I thought, this is probably the work around they have to do in order for it to work. It connects and disconnects in milliseconds. Reason why I know this is because I can surf the web no problem, but if I want to make a call using Google voice it's an issue. It's call the number but it doesn't stay connected. My question to you is what's the difference between the free version and the paid version? I'm going to mount a tablet in my car but want to be able to make calls threw it. Wondering if it's just easier to just get data plan. Any advice would help
Thanks so much for sharing your feedback for the app. Yes your are right, being free and it does get the job done in general. It's not perfect and may not work with some apps such as Netflix etc, but most stuff does work.
About the connecting device show weird or not connected icon and symbol is normal.
Netshare uses wifi direct technology as a work around to share internet data which is really clever.
Actually some device doesn't have this visual problem in terms of the weird not connecting logo etc. Different device acts differently.
About differences between Free and Paid version. Free version is just as good, and Paid version just let you see who is connecting to your hotspots show you some graph of data speed etc. I believe you can disconnected devices you don't want from the network.
To me, I don't think it's important for me, as long it works and free that is all I care.
For you should you get separate data plan for your tablet?
For sure separate data plan will give you the best experience, but also increase your monthly fee.
If you don't use that tablet that much I don't suggest get separate data plan.

Try to power off your iPhone and see if that will reset the iPhone's modem,
Before power off, close all your apps , then power off 🤞

-Tap on the Settings app. When the Settings app loads, you will be at the General Settings category.
Tap on the Wi-Fi settings category and you will be at a screen as shown below.
Tap on the "icon" next to the Wi-Fi network to access the specific settings of the wireless connection.
Tap on the Manual button and fill in the fields under HTTP Proxy as follows:
Server : 192.168.49.1
Port : 8282
When you are done setting up your proxy server, tap on the Wi-Fi Networks button and then go back to your Home screen to start enjoing the internet access.
Hope this give you a better idea =)

I haven't get a chance to test it, but I. Theory, if Xbox have network option to manually input Proxy and Port you may feel free give it a try. The app is free, don't need to pay for pay version. ✌️

Mine did the same go to the network you are trying to use hit select and the down it will not scroll down then count to 5 and hit the menu button it will then work

UA-cam will not allow it and neither will Netflix. It's because netshare is basically a VPN and those companies want to see how many people are streaming on their site.

I see, great point, from default Netshare app will tap in your wifi instead of data.
The work around is, forget your wifi.
Once you removed the default wifi that it default connects to, then it will actually use your 4G or 5G data.
That is how I would do it, give it a try 🤞👍
