Those magnetic Sewing lights are AWESOME! I have bought a bunch in the past year or so- I have one on a 20-ton press, one on my bandsaw, one over by the belt sander, I stick them inside metal storage lockers that I go into at my shop all the time! Last set I ordered was maybe $20 for 3 magnetic lights from that Shopping Jungle Website with the South American name......

So I come inside after working outside all day. Put my feet up and watch some UA-cam. I end up watching some clown telling me to get off the couch and go do something, tomorrow I'm tired....

We were on the other side of Florida, so we knew that it would not be more than a category 1. And it was less than that. But good training.

Thanks for the explanation on the mast crutch. I have a bomb proof one on my 36 foot sailboat, that I was going to change to a flip up style. Better keep what I have until I ride out a bigger storm. And great hint on ironing the basting tape. Somehow I missed that.

Nice work. Veritasium did a great video on the sewing machine. They have been one of the most liberating macines (domestically, yes, perhaps less so industrially, but it's complicated). Collectively a bit like the bicycle, but not quite as mobile or as relevant for the mixing of the gene pool, but that's also a bit complicated and scale dependent. This is if I've corectly interpreted the work of the geneticist Steve Jones. I had no idea where this comment was going! Happy sewing!

I was in Orlando last week for work, but I couldn't manage a few hours away from work to get a peek at Seeker. 😢
Hopefully you come sail through the Canadian praries sometime soon, I wouldn't put it past you 😉

When is the long voyages and the rest of the crew going to happen? Would love to see you go across the ocean and maybe visit Australia or go north to Maine. Keep up the video's Doug hope the transfer case is fixed permanently.

Was it not great to see motorcycles that had 6 cylinders, ran so quietly you could talk, and ride like a high-priced Bently, performance like a Ferrari, has heated seats, cooling air vents, and are not cussed when driving through someone's neighborhood with no muffler straight pipes that give that idle sound little kids can mimick. Potato-potato-potato-potato. We live in a very very rural area with no neighbors for a mile but have a highway a mile away. It is very aggravating when the peace is broken by one or a herd of those loud 2-cyl (based on 1908 technology) bikes climbing the small hill on the highway. They are louder than the semi trucks with Jake brakes going down the hill. But when you get 6 of them (the same number of cylinders as 2 Honda Goldwings) it makes us really hate them. Loud or no mufflers does not make you safer, they just piss off more people, which gives a bad name for all motorcycles.
Yes, we rode Goldwings pulling a camper that folded out into a kingsize bed, had electric heat and A/C, and a 6X6 dressing area. Traveled all over the country, and we figure we have slept in that camper well over a years full of nights. We finally had to give up the motorcycle when we were in our late 70s. Dang kids we raised who are in their 50s said "Mom and Dad, you are too damned old to be riding anymore."

Get a wireless headset and mic and communication with the bridge and crew will be easier. Just a suggestion.

What’s really funny Doug is sewing is women’s work until a man has to invent one to make her job easier and then we have to fix the darn thing for them. Sometime just being a man is just full of so much unnecessary hard work. We’re to smart for are own good sometimes.

You’ve been hanging out around the wrong kind of women. My grandmother fixed her own machine. :-)
