We had similar thoughts. They spend 2 seasons getting Grogu to a Jedi. It was the entire point of the entire mission and everything in the first 2 seasons and 2 episodes later in the Mando story they're like Nah, fuck that. He's back with Mando. But don't worry, Luke. I know Grogu left you, but you'll have better luck with your next student, Ben Solo :D
Agreed but also I think people forget Grogu is 50+ years old. He has had more Jedi training than Luke. He may have repressed it, but he doesn't need Luke. He's going to become a badass Mando/Jedi and I can't wait
@@RX-eq7ye haha I don't think he "forgot", repressed is a better word. He clearly knows a lot of advanced powers. Ashoka said he's had many masters, so yeah I don't think he needs Luke at all (who's been a Jedi for only 5 years at this point?)
They spent a lot of season 2 explaining that Grogu would have a tough time training because of his attachment to Mando. Mando wanted to take him to the Jedi at first but his love for the child grew over 2 seasons. By the end Mando didn't actually want to give him up. The Child chose to go back to Mando given the choice giving up unlocking the power of the force and choosing love. It was set up and not all for nothing...
I think it’s dumb that Luke would kick him out. I thought he was above all that “no feelings” crap. I hate the sequels, they aren’t Star Wars to me, and it’s disappointing to see that they’re trying to connect to it.
Peace !! ..What peace? .he has been in danger since episode 2 of the season 1 of the Mandalorian ..Grogu's feelings are Natural ..Even Luke cut his training short to help his friends .. and then made the Choice to continue . I feel he will still receive more training ..he is still not able to protect himself .. I can't wait to see what happens in The 3rd Series ..
I wish they wrote Boba more like Fisk in Daredevil, using a combination of manipulation and violence to gain control of territory. Would have demonstrated his character growth, but shown what he was capable of still.
Matee, that would have been frickin awesome! I guess maybe bc its on Disney plus and 'for kids' maybe they thought it would he too brutal. I'd have loved that though
In the end, Fett is just a rugged individualist grasping at the concept of teamwork. He's got no strategic skills and rarely seems to have a plan beyond good intentions. Fennec could have taken out the Pyke command center at the beginning of the episode but she followed his lead far too much. In the end, she was the lynchpin that made the entire operation come together.
Cad Bane was really cool. He should have been introduced way earlier and used more and hopefully he's not dead and we see him again. Such a solid character.
Dude, some characters have to die. Stop with stupidity of bringing them back. Plo Coon is dead, Mace Windu is dead, Maul is dead. No one should be brought back. That's why Lucas invented force ghosts,to keep some of them dead for real but still use them
I've always been a fan of the Duros so Cad Bane was always a favorite of mine. Fun Fact: At least in the old EU the Duros were one of the earliest races to interact with ancient humans.
I just have to say, that scene where the power rangers are chasing the mayor’s right hand guy (or secretary I guess?) that was the slowest chase sequence I’ve ever seen.
I think they just failed at showing the speed element somewhere in editing they lost / forgot how to make it look like they were going fast. You can tell they tried with the capes and dust kick up just failed in the execution.
I found the whole episode badly directed. And editing too. Most other episodes were great, just that last episode. The Power Rangers that look completely out of place with akwardly moving and -especially - stopping hoover bikes. That battle scene dragged on for ages. And after all those episodes I like the Fennec character, just not the actress playing it. But overall I enjoyed it, and the Tusken Raider and Mando bits were great. I would like to see a second seasson, hopefully they take care of the editing , it seemed so rushed.
God that part was dumb. It's so much less impactful when it's a droid being killed, or any random character with no emotional attachment to it. He should of had the rancor do it to the mayor, or the Pike leader (for him having the Tuscans killed), instead of a droid.
@@LordVader1094 Cad Bane comes from Filoni's brain and from the last 20 or so years Filoni had the best Star Wars ideas. They sure can and will milk that cow until the life support falls apart.
I think what is happening is that when Luke told Grogu that Mando's life will be much shorter than his and that it isn't worth it to stay attached to him. Grogu realized that if that's the case, it's better to spend the little time he will have with Mando, and then move onto becoming a Jedi afterward. I mean... if Mando dies of old age, Grogu will be what..... a 5 or 6 year old in terms of his species? He could still train. So basically due to his long life he has the choice of doing both, but Luke I guess either didn't see that choice due to him thinking of his own shorter life, or ignored it as that would mean Grogu would be trained by some other jedi in 40 years.
You came out of this more positive than I expected. Those power Rangers really stood out awfully. It really took me out of the show whenever I saw Dr who and their colorful bikes zipping around
On the finale, I was BEGGING the Pyke syndicate to kill all of the power rangers. When they didn’t, I was super disappointed. They do not fit the style of Tatooine and their bikes look like a 1950s Kitchenaid Mixer on wheels.
@@ewjiml seriously, tatooine is a gritty crime ridden place and here you have a Scooter gang buzzing through the streets. We once had a "scooter gang" in my home town, and everybody laughed because scooters are just so not-menacing.
Blame George Lucas and Disney because this franchise wasn't planned ahead and became severely exploited. What they're doing now is what they should've done at the beginning because there's simply too much content to acknowledge without comparisons. Had this already been a television series, that progressively expanded the universe, then it would've made more sense than setting it back with pointless media merely for profit. Again, it's an intriguing concept but it's obvious it's overstayed its welcome and should've been given proper closer. But as long as Disney retains the property, this franchise will continue to become bigger, weirder, and undoubtedly more convoluted.
I think Cad Bane should've been used to represent the syndicate more. The reveal was cool, but the conflict wasn't really tangible enough for me. Bane should've also been revealed or shown to have decimated the Tusken tribe Boba was in because the reveal did nothing for us and Bane is ruthless enough to kill them - not just the men, but the women and children too. The tribe stuff was some of the most interesting stuff in the show but they threw it out midway through for Mando S2.5 and brought it back in the finale with minimal fanfare. Why couldn't they have done more Tusken stuff in present time? Mando SPEAKS Tusken. I thought that was such an easy detail to exploit with this story but they didn't even mention it. Also, Luke's acting and philosophies here were kinda ass for me. It feels like too much of a shift to a prequel Jedi from how he was in the OT
Yes, he should have been seen in the first 5 minutes of chapter 1. Set him up and the Pikes and what they want and why all by the end of chapter 1 while we are getting Boba's survival/tusken backstory at the same time. Then the timelines converge in chapter 2.
Disneyfilm Luke is supposed to uphold the Jedi way so that he can fail, leading to the Last Jedi. What, did you think Disneyfilm was listening to all the whiners? Psych. Maybe regarding his CG look, but that's it.
@@commandercaptain4664 yeah they’re all about appearances. Unfortunately they’re doubling down on the sequels. But unlike the prequels, the base isn’t enough for good secondary media to make up for. No amount of shows can redeem that steaming pile of Garbage the way clone wars helped expand on the sequels
THANK YOU Jeremy! For pointing out that detail about Goerge Lucas's original direction for how light sabers were meant to handle, and recognizing that they are using this idea in the plot device around the Dark Saber. I thought it was an obvious homage to George's original concept of the light saber, but the internet seems to have forgotten that little nugget of Star Wars trivia. 👍👍
They're definitely beta testing CGI Luke he's getting more and more screentime. I don't want a whole Luke show that's too much and probably bad taste, but having him be a more prominent side character for a future series I'm totally down. Just use of clever camera angles and only use the face when needed is the way to go
What I wish they did a little differently would be if cad bane was the one that killed the Tusken raiders. He would’ve been more of a foil to boba, a satisfying win for boba, and bane wouldve been something more to the show instead of just being a paid gunman like he always was. Other than that, I liked the show for the most part.
I think it would've been cool if the Pikes tried to kill Boba in a really cowardly, underhanded way, but then Bane turned on them and helped Boba kill them, like "if you're gonna kill him, do it like a man" Then challenged Boba himself
I seriously doubt we've seen the last of Cad Bane. They included the shot of his body, with the flashing light/beeping device on his chest, which makes me think it's some sort of life support.
That’s so cool to hear Lucas Film added a fan that did a great job with Luke on social media. Really is great to see them seeing and accepting he was better.
I mean it is just a smart business move, they saw the talent that fit the gap in their own talent pool and they took that talent at least so that rising competitors can't have that same talent.
@@jjmuti3979 yea but allot of these big film companies don’t like to publicly admit they found someone doing it better at home than at a studio. I work in the film industry and trust me, they like to keep it all in house when possible
The one thing I wish we got was a deeper discussion between Boba and Mando about the concept of tribe and belonging. Perhaps a discussion of what being a Mandalorian means to both of them, perhaps foreshadowing character arcs in future seasons of the Fav-loni Verse. The "You don't really believe that Bantha fodder?" exchange was a start. Maybe we'll get more in future seasons.
Cad Bane was so fucking good. He needs to get picked up by the “modders” or whatever they called them and bring him back to life like Boba did in this very own series
@@bluebomber875 Agreed. I could somewhat accept that they saved' Fennec that way, given that she wasn't dead when Boba found her. But Vanth coming back is total BS. What? The modders can just resurrect people that have actually died? Because Vanth was in fact killed by Bane, the barkeeper said so.
This series was all over the place for me personally. Episode 1 & 2 were the best of Boba. Episode 5 & 6 were the best Star Wars episodes I've seen, even the quality from these two episodes compared to the prior episodes were higher quality. Episode 3 & 4 were the weakest, especially episode 3. The finale was good, but the build up from the previous two episodes for the finale just to be good/serviceable, just feels disappointing. I did let myself probably get way too hyped for it. And the finale had some beautiful & epic moments, but I feel the execution for certain things were just disappointing. I thought Robert Rodriguez would do great with Boba, after watching the episode he directed of "The Mandalorian" feautring Boba, but his episodes he directed for Book of Boba Fett were easily the worst. Pros: The music/Boba's theme Episode 5 & 6 was some of the best Star Wars since the Disney buyout Luke Skywalker how I wanted to see him Some very cool Boba scenes (him escaping the Sarlacc Pitt, riding the Rancor, showdown with Cad) CAD FREAKING BANE! Cons: Boba's story in this dragged. I think they could have done so much more this character. He deserved more Boba being helmetless the majority of the time. Come on man! I love Tem, but put the helmet on and stop smiling! Boba getting upstaged in his own show. Literally by everyone else Boba lets everyone do everything for him. And always goes along with everything. There's more cons I could list, but meh. It was a decent enough show, with some of the best Star Wars I've seen, but the lows, and for it being a Boba show, was just a let down. I enjoyed it enough though.
As someone that absolutely loves the mandalorian I couldn't have been happier with episode 5 and 6. I just wish boba Fett could actually stand out in his own show. But alas, the writer had to squeeze in the mandalorian to keep viewers interested.
@@jasonhenry8067 Agree bro. Which is sad, I really loved Boba growing up. Kinda got the shaft in his own show! Oh well. He may just work better as guest appearance type character for awhile.
Agreed about the Boba helmet off all the time but sadly the Mandalorian ruined Boba's mystique. Since the Mando rule is to never take off the helmet they had to differentiate Boba from Djin (or whatever Pedro's guy is named) otherwise we'd get 2 expressionless masks doing all the acting.
This was a pretty mixed bag for me. I like the idea of basically all of it but felt like more than half of it was executed inefficiently. 5 and 6 were highlights and Cad Bane was the best part of the show. (Huge bias there lol, he’s like my favorite character) and I pray that he isn’t truly dead. If he is, at least have him appear in some of the shows in between bad batch and BOBF
My friend and I laughed our asses off when you said Vizsla looked like Shovel Knight. The resemblance is uncanny yet can't believe I never thought about that before now.
Ashoka’s relationship with Anakin back in the animated show really had a younger sibling/daughter type of dynamic so in a way, it almost felt like an extended family reunion for Luke and his father’s former padawan
10:17 he's not lying. Such a pivotal moment in Star Wars history. Every couple of days I'll go back and watch the last 4 episodes of clone Wars season 7 🔥
@@parissideris1757 That's exactly what I was thinking lmao! What are you doing with your life if your rewatching the same 4 episodes of a show every couple of days 😂
I know right? That's beginner steps. I used to watch those 4 episodes every other hour. Now I watch an episode a minute. That's how you can tell apart the really dedicated fans. All the others are just pretenders.
I just rewatched your Force awakens trailer reaction from 6 years ago back when we were all full of hope for the new movies, thanks Jeremy those reactions still make me happy
I remember watching the TFA trailers and thinking, I have a bad feeling about this. That feeling only got worse as I learned more about the movie on the run up to release. Then I saw the movie and thought they just fucked up the whole trilogy, not to mention the saga in general and all these idiots praising it now don't seem to realize it yet because they think all these problems are mystery boxes that Episode 8 will answer.
The show somehow managed to be both rushed and aimless at the same time. They spent the first couple of episodes just walking around and having flashbacks, then we got the first two episodes of _Mandalorian_ season 3, Cobb Vanth being really cool for a second, Cad Bane being a badass then suddenly they're at war. The flashbacks were cool (though I was sure we'd get one final extended flashback on Kamino, finally including that legendary John Williams score), but with essentially five episodes to tell Boba's story they should've moved them along quicker, or spent less time doing nothing on Tattooine. It felt like they had the concept of Boba taking over Jabba's empire and becoming a crime lord in lieu of becoming Mandalore, then had no idea where to take it from there. They spent the entire series only to end up at the exact point they were at before the series even began. We saw Boba take Jabba's throne in that scene that perhaps proved to awesome for the show's own good. We knew he was a badass, saw he was still a badass in season 2, and figured he'd rule as a badass and be respected, because he's Boba _fucking_ Fett. We didn't _really_ need to see any of this, that scene was enough setup for season 3. It honestly kinda felt like this show was just filler in a way, at least with how weirdly they handled it, and a way for them to give Din a new starfighter, have him reunite with Grogu (and to have Grogu fatally shot in season 3 and survive without people complaining about him suddenly wearing mithril under his robes) and Boba rule as a respected daimyō when Din inevitably visits him or needs his aid in season 3 without having to explain any of it once season 3 actually does hit Disney+. It's sad, 'cause this kinda took away from both season 2 and 3 of _Mandalorian_ imho, and I hope it's not a sign of things to come. It took away from Boba and Fennec's ark in season 2, as well as Din and Grogu's ark from the entire _Mandalorian_ series, especially that final moment aboard Moff Gideon's cruiser. And it takes away some of my excitement for season 3 (the episodes of it we got were awesome though, so they've proved they still know how to nail the _Mandalorian_ feel at least). I was really excited to see Din on his own again, after spending the majority of the series alongside Grogu. I was excited about seeing how he'd cope, perhaps with scenes of Luke teaching Grogu spliced in, then finally getting their reunion. He can still become Mandalore I guess, so that's something at least (was kinda hoping he'd _be_ Mandalore in BoB, but in all fairness I don't know how long after season 2 it takes place). But as far as his and Grogu's character progressions they're essentially back at status quo. It's funny, 'cause after Fennec showed up to "recruit" Din I genuinely thought the next episode would have him just show up in Mos Espa, and have his visit to Grogu be the first episode of season 3. I saw it week for week at my friend's, as I did for all of _Mandalorian_ as well, and I enjoyed watching it. But it did feel kinda pointless and aimless. There were cool bits, not so cool -kids- bits, and some bits were nothing really happened. Boba riding his rancor was badass (I am a sucker for anything animal/pet-related though), and he was a true badass once he finally donned his helmet, but most of the time he didn't really do anything at all. Black Krrsantan was _awesome_ (I may have a thing for Wookiees as well), Fennec has always been awesome, but I wish she didn't do all of Boba's dirty work. So yeah, I enjoyed it, don't regret watching it, but it did not have the same quality as _The Mandalorian_ has. Don't know what changed, 'cause as far as I know it's still Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni making it, with the exception of Robert Rodriguez directing many of the episodes. But he used to be so cool, so if he's to blame then I dunno what happened. P.S. I _did_ think he died at first, but I would he shocked if Cad Bane is actually dead, if only for the fact that Dave Filoni didn't direct the episode, and I would've thought for sure that he would want to direct the death of one of the biggest characters he helped create. There was also his beeping/blinking armour, and strange lingering on his body at the end. He does have a lot of backstory, but I feel they wouldn't go through all the trouble of bringing him to life only to kill him off after two episodes. P.P.S. The Order 66 flashback sorely needed _Anakin's Betrayal_ in the background. It's one of the greatest moments in the films and an absolutely gut-wrenching series of scenes, and that score does so much, man. I can't even get myself to kill those engineers on The Esseles in _The Old Republic_ solely due _Anakin's Betrayal_ queueing up once you do (and I only would've done it for the title, to be clear). It is always nice getting flashbacks to the Time of the Green and Blue, but the scene could've really done with either _Anakin's Betrayal,_ _Anakin's Dark Deeds_ or _I'm So Sorry_ to fully set the mood.
Would have liked Grogu to kind of 'show' his training with Luke a bit more, a jump here & there, some blaster stops maybe (if that's a light side jedi power I dunno); I know he used his powers a couple of times but there was no real difference from when he used them before, except he didn't stumble over immediately drained. Or something where his new little armour protected him.
Yeah i thought it was kinda silly that we spent all of S2 of Mando to get Grogu to a Jedi, only for them to end up together after like 2 episodes of Mando time anyway. I have to wonder what was even the point then.
@@TheArrowedKnee well i mean. Luke decided that grogu was never going to fully commit to jedi training if he wasnt able to let the mandalorian go. So he sent him back. Honestly to me it doesnt make the season 2 useless since now mando has a definitive answer. Grogu doesnt belong with the jedi so now he is a mandalorian foundling and not a padawan
@@illansuu9572 Ok watch the Mandalorian Season 2 finale…..Huge buildup to Luke Skywalker taking Grogu. All of that is absolutely pointless and wasted. When Season 3 for Starts, Grogu comes back. To the average viewer who isn’t a Star Wars nerd, their first reaction is going to be WTF. They created this episode purely for ratings because Book of Boba was doing so poorly with viewers.
@@ewjiml yeah i mean it was an odd choise to do it in a seperate series. I didnt mind the twist that grogu wasnt going to get jedi training but the fact it was done in the book of boba fett instead of doing it in mando season 3
Personally I thought this show would’ve benefitted a lot from dedicating more time to it’s main villains and Boba building up power. The Mandalorian taking two of the seven episodes massively hurt it’s plot imo. The ending felt a little unearned to me as a result.
@@harmonlanager2670 Screw the Pykes, why couldn't we have the Hutts like what was teased in Episode 2? The writers seriously brought in the Hutts in episode 2, just to have them come in and say "hey we're sorry bye" in the very next episode? And that was all just to bring in the Rancor and Goth Chewbacca? God this show is frustrating.
The fact they linger on Cad Bane's body with the strange beeping noise going off (and the fact that they show Cobb Vanth in the Bacta tank at the end after he was seemingly "fatally" shot the episode prior) makes me think we could definitely see Cad Bane again. I mean, think about it - for the longest time, Boba Fett himself was "killed" by being thrown into the mouth of a giant inescapable alien monster, but people liked him so much that now he's got his own live action show! It'd be foolish for them to waste Cad Bane that soon.
@@satansmask Missed it is then but good to know. Am getting tired of having to go slowly through the credits if every show in case there is a random scene. Oh well.
There is a lot of room to bring him back in things before this point, like: the Kenobi show, the Andor show, The Bad Batch show, or even the Rogue Squadron movie. But… yeah, that beep was there to leave the door open just in case they want to resurrect him in future stuff….
Wish boba wasn't as wet as he is now. Luckily Mando is the new boba. All the mystery with twice the heart. Fully wanted Tarantino esk gangster story with tough boba taking no slug prisoners. Also hate when I think I can do the story better. All the Mando and Yoda stuff did nothing but distract. If that was intertwined with a ruthless boba vibe versus the jabba twins. The big black chewie didn't get the ending he deserved. Cad bane was bad ass and deserved more. Favreau has the stylings and world building correct but the story guys need to sort It out. No depth to boba. Still love it though.
Agreed Cad is the man idk if you've seen him in clone wars or not but easily could have his own "Book of Bane" following everything he's done because it's awesome!
On an episode-to-episode basis I thought the show was highly enjoyable and did a good job of expanding upon the mythology of Star Wars without it feeling to reliant on references and callbacks. Looking at the season as a whole, I think it was kind of a hot mess. It felt so overstuffed with plot lines and characters, yet struggled to really define the antagonists of the show. The Pikes never felt intimidating and ultimately were used as cannon fodder in the end. The introduction of Cad Bane was one of the biggest highlights of the show and I wish we could have gotten more of him. Even though he was just a hired gun and not the big bad, I felt like his terrifying presence could have given the show more teeth. It only felt like there were real stakes when he was on screen. Overall it was very entertaining and a solid installment to Star Wars. I just wish it would have been a bit more focused with its storytelling and didn’t try to do so much in such little time.
I agree with what you say about defining the antagonist, but when you think about it, the main antagonist is Boba Fett trying to change the way things are in Moss Espa and change the kind of man he is. He was a cold killer for most of his life, it was his time with the Tusken Raiders that really prompted that change, a change hindered when the tribe was killed off by the Pikes. Regarding the coolest antagonist, Cad Bane, apparently those two have quite the backstory that I personally was unfamiliar with so it's not completely out of left field for the most challenging sub-antagonist to be that guy. He personifies the old life of Boba Fett, you know?
And then he has like two chapters were it’s about Mando, Boba is like: “Huh, most of what happens in my journey was kinda boring, I’ll just put some fun stories that don’t include me at all."
The two episodes mainly focused on Mando really detracted for the show where Pykes could have been seen as more villainous (for those who didn’t watch the animated series) and developing Fenec better. As a whole I really enjoyed it, just feels like it needed another episode or two to give more emotional beats for Boba.
I agree fully. It feel like they detracted from the actual story trying to be told, and throughout the two episodes I was just waiting for the plot I sat down to watch to kick in.
The show not only sucked but it detracted from the far superior Mandalorian. It was thematically, tonally, and aesthetically terrible on top of having terrible writing and direction, why they thought they’d give the director of Spy Kids a shot at this is beyond me, it just goes to show how mishandled the IP is under disney lmao. The only good episodes ironically enough were the ones that didn’t feature boba fett and weren’t directed by Robert Rodriguez. There was no character development from literally anybody in this show and the events that happen within are totally undermined by it’s atrocious pacing and complete lack of buildup. Glad I’m not a boba fett fan lmao those guys waited decades for this.
@@thebigenchilada678 If they had dedicated the time that Mando took to actually developing the Boba story, we would have had some proper build up to the finale. Maybe it wouldn't be the best show, but at least it would be -consistent-. But because they needed to put AI generated Luke Skywalker in there and a whole bunch of fan service to give you the illusion that this is a show worth watching, Boba's story suffered for it and actually became worse because it was juxtaposed to Mandalorian fanservice.
I think it's reasonable to believe that Palpatine got his hands on Yoda's lightsaber. The Senate would have had to he cleaned up after their fight and he would have gotten his hands on it and probably kept it the same way General Grievious collected lightsabers of fallen lightsaber. After the Empire fell, the New Republic would definitely have returned Yoda's lightsaber to Luke
I totally agree on Ahsoka and Luke having that shared bit of dialog. Definitely one of the many stand outs of this show and it iust leaves more to be desired.
Ahsoka is one of those characters who could have been so cool, but she was absolutely fucking ruined in the Clone Wars and it's so hard for her to be likeable now. And also, Rosario Dawson is a fucking kludge.
For me the main problem is that Boba sucks at being a crime boss, he is more like a mayor. he is so weak, for example when he asks the other crime bosses to stay neutral like a little bitch and then they obviously turned on him, or when he promises to keep that cantina safe and it gets blown up and more and more
This show did good at portraying different sides of the more overlooked aspects in this universe, like how they managed to add a lot more layers to the Tuskens and showed them more than just as “Raiders”. It’s a small world building but still a very nice touch at that
I like how Jeremy didn’t release a review for each episode so I watched other channels, and watching this video reminded me why he’s my favourite reviewer.
I think I was one of the few people I knew who enjoyed what I’ve called “Star Wars does Dances With Wolves” and while this series helped me understand more about the Tuskens, the audiobook I listened to at the same time, Kenobi, also made me like them more. And yes, Space Vespers are out of place on Tattoine.
Indeed. The classic "outsider joins a foreign tribe and becomes its most awesome member" story has been done a bunch of times (Avatar, Fern Gully, Dances With Wolves as you say, and for that matter even The Mandalorian), but I still enjoyed it. However, given that the 20 minutes of Tusken flashbacks in episode 1, the 30 mins in episode 2, and the 5 mins in episode 3, add up to 55 minutes (the same length as several of the other Book of Boba Fett episodes), it seems kind of bizarre they chose to chop this up and split it between the first three episodes, rather than just tell the entire story as episode 1. Or given how weak the rest of Boba's story was, really this 55-minute "Boba and the Tuskens" story should have been a single guest episode within The Mandalorian Season 3; rather than what we got the other way round.
11:30 I mean there’s so much time between Clone Wars and this show, so not only was Cad Bane very old and I’d rather him die on-screen at the hands of Boba Fett than off-screen in some comic, but there’s also a lot of time for more stories to be told with him in it. We still have the Cassian Endor show, Ahsoka, Kenobi, more than enough opportunity
@@Seussenshmirtz yes that's why people watch Jeremy. It's not because they're genuinely interested in his opinion at all. We are all incapable of thinking for ourselves. You're so smart for pointing that out.
In literally the same show where Fennec gets hit by a blaster bold that incinerates her core... apparently... and she's left for dead in a hostile desert for hours and then Boba takes her to a cyberpunk surgeon who uses plot-magic to bring her back to life.... and everyone's like "Apparently Cadd Bane just died from a stick. That really sucks"
Disney very much cares about visual and audio quality. They’re a new streaming platform that already offered Dolby sound, spatial audio, and 4K HDR streaming with a very light codec compared to other platforms. Them bringing on the UA-cam deepfake guy is not that surprising. Just wish they cared as much for a cohesive story as they did about visuals and audio.
@ 3:55, That "badass wookie" was Black Krrsantan or Black K from the Darth Vader & Doctor Aphra Star Wars comic book series. And those electric brass knuckles are actually permanently attached to him. He was experimented on for gladiatorial purposes and his knuckle bones were laced with metal. A lot like Wolverine.
While i would have definitely loved more Boba Fett this season, i’m also super happy we got those mando episodes now, so we can get even more new stuff in season three and skip right past what we saw in BOBF
In my opinion I think it's pretty lame they apparently went back on Mando leaving Grogu with luke... Now season 3 will start off with Grogu back with Mando.. kinda ruins the ending of season 2.
1/3) I gotta say, I feel like the show really let us down with the direction of Boba’s arc. The dude’s been one of the most ruthless killers in the galaxy for most of his life, and for the first time we see he wants to be something more. He wants to be a respectable leader, a protecter; the direct opposite of everything he’s ever been, and that doesn’t happen overnight. It’s no longer enough for him to just be ruthless now-he has to learn to be merciful, and I don’t feel like the series showed him struggling with that enough. I really wish we could’ve seen him wrestle with that balance throughout the series, between his violent past and the kind of person he wants to be now-especially after the loss of his tusken family and the reappearance of cad bane. It could have been the perfect way to show him struggle, make mistakes, and ultimately rise to become the leader he strives to become. 2/3) I truly loved ep 5 and 6, but it left me feeling really cheated. They were amazing episodes, but as far as the series goes they were the worst in the show. They did nothing for boba’s personal arc in the story; their only purpose was to set up mandalorian season 3/the return of grogu, and they took away time we could’ve spent flushing out boba’s character or even cad bane. I don’t feel like they would’ve interrupted mandalorian season 2 halfway to bring you 2 episodes of bobf, so why would you do that here? Don’t get me wrong the episodes were great, but they should’ve been saved for mando s3. 3/3) I feel like they really did cad bane dirty. His character should’ve been hinted at and woven in from the start of the show, hiding him as the main villain behind the more obvious threat of the pykes. They could’ve left a trail of clues, building up his reveal/return as something spectacular. And after his reveal, they could’ve spent some time showing us where he’d been since the bad batch, had they not spent 2 episodes (nearly 1/3 of the series) on the mandalorian. He’s been such a long running opponent of boba’s and a major fan favorite, and they should’ve showed his return as something much more personal. Especially if you’re just going to kill him off in the end, the least you could do is give him a storyline in the show that finalizes his character properly. I feel similarly with how they treated the hutts, on a bit of a lesser note. (Why hype them up as a threat if they’re just going to leave after a couple episodes?) Bottom line is, I don’t feel like they showed enough respect/understanding for the potential of these characters. I enjoyed the show a lot (especially the tusken arc), but I’m hoping they do better in the future.
Exactly. I felt like they kept talking about how they needed to protect the city, and how he wants to rule with respect. But then they do nothing to show that. We never see much happen. There’s no real struggle or conflict between the opposing forces until the last episode. And same as you, I was disappointed with how they handled Cad Bane. He felt like he could have been any random bounty hunter. He wasn’t important to the story. It felt like the first draft of a story that could have been good if they had just fleshed it out more. But then they were rushed and were two episodes short, so they pulled out some unused episodes from the mandalorian and threw those in.
Overall, TBoBF is a mixed bag. The Tusken flashbacks, the score and the stuff with Mando and the Jedi, I f***ing loved. Same with the Boba/Cad duel. That was worth waiting nine years for. Everything else was.....very poor. I don't know what happened here. Robert Rodriguez gave me my favourite episode of Mandalorian. But this......tsk.
I think the writers and directors had alot of different ideas and it seems they just mashed everything together and cut so many corners it feels so jarring and not cohesive at all. I like the overall plot alot and there are some amazing moments but overall execution was bad and I mean you can tell especially in that final episode they probably had more planned for the finale but it just kinda ended abruptly and the pikes did not put up much of a fight same with bane although hes cool af he ultimately does basically nothing apart from being cool.
Bro i think your nostalgia got the best of you. This show was a pretty bad in terms of plot holes/ dude taking a back seat in his own show. OG Boba fett is like im a silent ba, new boba is like jk im weak af.
Rumor has it, they knew book of boba fett wasn’t good. So they threw out 2 episodes and brought in two episodes from Mandalorian season 3. Re shot scenes. Rumor has it they even were filming as early as last week and editing the bad finale
I agree on the Cad Bane part. He's one of the most badass characters in star wars. Can't kill him, he didn't get enough screen time. I hope we see him again and when we do he's just as badass as he was in The Book of Boba Fett.
The other big problem is the big build up of tension between Boba and Cad Bane is in an unreleased story arc we've never seen. The show really should have built up the tension from early on the series but rather Cad Bane just shows up... and dies. It's like the whole survival of his character from the clone wars amounted to exactly nothing. Its poor execution no matter how you look at it. Plus, if you really want the fight between the two to mean something, he should take out someone important to Boba. Cobb Vanth means nothing to him.
Binging it in one go is really the optimal way for this show. I watched it episode to episode and found myself being disappointed here and there. But one you sit down and watch it in one go like I did today, it feels like a long well planned western film. The whole final episode was just like the town fighting back against the raiders looking to make profit off their land. Likewise, the Tuskens gave off heavy native American tribe vibes.
Binged this with my dad today, we both said at the same time the first scene after Cad Baine arrived, "he should have been introduced earlier". He was so under-utilized.
I thought the show started as “all right” more just enjoyment and similar to season 1 of Mandalorian where it didn’t have any major stories or events and was just more Star Wars. Which I thought was cool. Boba Fett was more just an exploration of his honor and I thought that was something I would never see. The last three episodes were great, of course with Mando and Grogu, and was just great. Made me excited for more Star Wars, which is something I won’t get tired of
That’s funny because for me it was totally the opposite, I was totally down with Boba Fett running the city then fighting the Spice Trade then kind of fell off of the show when Mando came in and took over. I came to the show to see badass Boba Fett doing shit and am disappointed that half the show is just rushing Mando Season 3 development
One of my fondest childhood memories was meeting Jeremy Bulloch at a convention in Sweden, 10 year old, barely able to speak a coherent sentence in English. It was the coolest moment of my life till that moment. Boba Fett was, and still is my favorite character for so many reasons. This spin off is a bad joke. I mean, fanfic level writing and only occasionally good directing, pacing issues, so many odd choices, like the titular character being treated as a background small part at times, having almost no active part in moving the story forward he's just there.. The Boba Fett character felt off from the beginning and him trying to make a new life for himself completely missed the mark for me because the show had already "reinvented" him by the first episode. I'm not even mad, I'm just so disappointed. It's like they didn't even try. Oh well, Temuera was the best casting choice for Boba, too bad they wasted his time.
I agree 100 percent. I also met Jeremy at Sheffield Comic Con and my girlfriend who didnt know who he was had to go and start the conversation. What a sweet guy.
It's embarrassing. Episode 5 and 6 should have been standalone interim episodes for The Mandalorian season 3. There was so much potential in making Boba a brutal crime lord travelling the galaxy, and instead we had a softie trying to get some friends.
@@armhelc7501 nice to see someone else is feeling hwat I was. 28% of the series, or 2 episodes, had him on screen for 1 minute. I just felt like they were wasting the story we wanted to see: Boba's! its called the Book of Boba Fett and they went all Marvel Phase 4 and now hes a background character i his own show. Mando has a show, Luke has movies and Boba has... a show where those 2 are hijacking screen time. Also I have NO feelings for a silly Naboo starfighter. None. Not sure why anyone would. Mando's original ship was Bad A; had room to store bounties, Grogu, multiple levels...now a silly podracer of the air/space IF they did all the Naboo stuff, the Boonta course, Luke, Mando and Grogu etc for fan service well then WHAT ABOUT BOBA???? I mean the idea of him getting his own series was the fan service I had been waiting for since I was 6 (May 1981) and Boba was the baddest toy we could get! I love seeing Mando Grogu Luke Ahsoka et all but wouldve preferred them much more tertiary in eps 5 and 6 and have Boba involved more
I am 100% with you. This felt to me the same thing disney did to cruella and to maleficent. All bad characters have to be good characters now. This wasnt fett. It ruined my favorite character, so i just put this in the same closet with the new trilogy. It just doesnt exist now.
Jeremy, I also was a Master Bounty Hunter in old school SWG, before it got ganked. Tatooine was my home base as well. There was just a vibe there and they had the Krayt Dragons and Tuskens which were bad ass too. Ah the old days.
Just like in season 2 of Mando, I couldn't stop thinking that The Book of Boba Fett is just a huge recycling of Star Wars stuff we've seen a thousand times, in a desperate attempt to milk nostalgia as much as possible. In my opinion they should just ditch the whole Skywalker era and either move way forward into the future or visit the far past. Enough with trying to make a backstory for every little insignificant detail of the og and prequel trilogies, or showing characters we liked while pointing a finger and screaming "OMG LOOK IT'S LUKE/HAN/ASHOKA/WHOMEVER!!!!". What is next? A digital cameo of princess Leia? Because Carrie Fisher's death isn't really an obstacle when you want to milk nostalgia? Enough, make something new.
The kids riding scootys cracked me up, for a second I thought I was watching an ad for cereal or something, and that feeling never really went away throughout the series.
@@deathking1019 Well, to be fair, the trailers and promos set it up in a way that implied Boba would be taking over as a crimelord. To remedy this, all they had to do was frame Boba as reinstalling order and justice to a lawless Tatoonie.
Still don’t understand why he needed to heal in the Bacta Tank for 4 episodes. He was a very dependable and hardened badass in Mando season 2. Didn’t seem like he required much healing then.
He was covered in scars from the acid inside of the Sarlak Pit. So it took awhile for the tank to get rid of his scars. I think they actually did it so that Temuera Morison would not have to have all the scar make up on for the rest of the time he will play the character
You're speaking the gospel. Without ep 5 and 6 this show would've been trash. Mando, Luke and Grogu saved this show. Boba's story arc was mediocre at best. I don't understand why The Mandalorian is so much better than this show.
happy to see that you started to use pictures in your reviews. hope you do that more. maybe small clips while reviewing. that would catch the attention more easily. keep it up 🙌🏼
Series was painfully uneven. Luke/mandalorian/grogu arc should’ve been saved for Mandalorian Season 3. Imo they’ve completely misunderstood Boba as a character, was always portrayed as a villain in the originals and should’ve seen him have some disdain for Luke/Han solo and the characters from the OG’s considering they’re the ones who put him in the sarlacc. Should’ve been more of an evil character and the justification for making him more of a heroic character was not done well in the show. Boba fett effectively took a back seat in his own show. Wish we could see classic legends boba levels of badassery. Such a shame they wasted this season’s potential.
I think they did enough to justify his change. He was always an honorable character with a code; plus getting eaten by a sand coochie would make you rethink your life
Boba Fett had excellent characterization and was extremely badass. There's literally no way he could have done better. In fact, he's a more interesting and better character than anything we've seen out of star wars in the last ten years, and begins to redeem the new SW for the huge missteps made with the sequel trilogy.
@@DrViperVideos Or the time he flew his ship right into the mouth of the Sarlacc because scanners (or that handy dandy scout droid Sniper Lady has) don't exist in Star Wars anymore. And he did it because he thought his armor was still in there somehow, which makes you wonder why he would assume the stupid thing was dead... Yeah this show was just great...
@@cable7152 So why would he think that his armor is still in there? Unless he doesn't remember for some stupid reason, but then we're just circling back to the first point aren't we? Cad bane Was suppost to Die in that deleted/unfinished clone wars Episode by the hands of boba fett, so having him here die by boba makes it come full circle.
@@zbenkert I have that feeling too. Boba disagreed and said he’s not a killer. Why say that if you’re going to kill the guy. So I wouldn’t be surprised Bane is in a cell somewhere
Okay, I'm putting this out there! Hopefully Disney will get this. A book with all the art work from the end credits of each episode. I want my Book of Boba Fett! I can't be the only one who wants this!
I watched the season episode to episode and I've gotta say--this show is totally a show that is best binged! I think the reason people feel like the story dragged or weren't as enthused about certain episodes was because we had to wait a week to see what happened next. If you watch it all in one go, I bet it flows a lot better and that everything feels much more cohesive. Nevertheless--I LOVED the show! So glad they're making good Star Wars content.
It’s a shame they reunited Mando and Grogu so soon. We only saw them apart for 1 episode and even then they were only a mile apart. It would have been way more rewarding to go maybe half of season 3 with them apart so you really appreciate the reunion.
I agree. This makes the finale of season 2 weaker in retrospect, since they've been apart now for what, only a week? And even in episode 6 Ahsoka gave him a good reason not to see him. Now back to normal...weird. oO
@@Ray_2112 and there is an in-story conversation to have about Ahsoka's perspective but unfortunately we didn't have that and Grogu just shows up in chapter 7. Ugh.
Loved it. Currently planning on getting a Boba Fett riding the Rancor tattoo because that was an image I was completely unaware that I needed in my life
Thx for making the positive review. After I rewatched the show leaving it in such enjoyment I got bummed out on how many critics were bashing the show on stuff like his friend The Mandalorian having episodes in his view and Boba not being how they imagined him as. So hearing someone praise it made me feel sane
Disney has killed starwars i wanted to like it so much.....there were some (very few) parts that were great but man it was so cringe worthy it was bad its to bad.
I think it’s because waiting for the episodes to release hurt the pace of it and yeah I agree the main plot wasn’t great and all over the place but I haven’t thought about binging the series I think that might actually help with your view of the show more and it’s not a awful show it still had some incredible Star Wars and character moments but it’s certainly not a masterpiece
Loved it! I also lost my "shite" when they introduced Cad Bane! His swagger is just 100% lethal! Hopefully they're not so stupid to kill a char that has so much potential!
Cad Bane was rushed and forced. If you hadn't seen clone wars you wouldn't give a fk or find him as a threat. The finale didn't feel like a finale at all just felt like meh with spectacle for the sake of spectacle

Boba Fett
Hello there
I just got it, Cad Bane is the one in the bacta tank. Boba says it's occupied, but we see everybody that got badly injured except Cad.
@@jeffrey53sola grogu learned everything then forgot lmao he like i forgor 💀
I just took it as Grogu thinking, "I tried this Jedi thing before-everyone around me DIED!" Serious trauma for a little kid. So he's like "peace!"
That is a very point that I didn’t even think of. So true!!
Mando is bringing him back to luke
If he decides to stay with Luke he would of had a very serious case of deja vu 😂
Peace !! ..What peace? .he has been in danger since episode 2 of the season 1 of the Mandalorian ..Grogu's feelings are Natural ..Even Luke cut his training short to help his friends .. and then made the Choice to continue . I feel he will still receive more training ..he is still not able to protect himself .. I can't wait to see what happens in The 3rd Series ..
@@Nain617 they meant peace as in "peace out! ✌"
His character in Book of Boba Fett was built up in the Clone Wars as him being honorable and a decent person
@@MotorMouth375 Exactly, and again with the tuskens, he had a rebirth
In the end, Fett is just a rugged individualist grasping at the concept of teamwork. He's got no strategic skills and rarely seems to have a plan beyond good intentions. Fennec could have taken out the Pyke command center at the beginning of the episode but she followed his lead far too much. In the end, she was the lynchpin that made the entire operation come together.
@@MotorMouth375 finally someone who gets it
Cad Bane was really cool.
Ummm, He was in the Clone Wars TV show... also how they killed him off was idiotic.
What was a little odd was when he mentioned the bacta tank was in use they might have left that open for his possible return
I think Todo will come by and heal his master
I just have to say, that scene where the power rangers are chasing the mayor’s right hand guy (or secretary I guess?) that was the slowest chase sequence I’ve ever seen.
Have you not seen The Last Jedi?
😂😂😂
Maybe it was a reference to Year One.
Boba going full Chancellor Palpatine killed me.
Boba: “Dew it.”
Rancor: *decapitates droid*
Loved it
*Boba going full senate.
God that part was dumb. It's so much less impactful when it's a droid being killed, or any random character with no emotional attachment to it. He should of had the rancor do it to the mayor, or the Pike leader (for him having the Tuscans killed), instead of a droid.
@@animalstastegood Good point
Cad Bane ain't dead. His life support light was blinking and making a very clear noise. That was very deliberate.
I really hope so
Yeah I wish they had the balls to kill him off tbh… don’t want them to go down the marvel route by faking deaths all the time
Yeah but why though? He's super old, they should've given him more stuff to do in the episode and then killed him off for good

i straight up just wanna see boba, i thought luke and mando was a cameo, nah, heres a whole damn episode of weird ahsoka
@No One he just likes the character chill

Who is Dr. Who?
On the finale, I was BEGGING the Pyke syndicate to kill all of the power rangers. When they didn’t, I was super disappointed. They do not fit the style of Tatooine and their bikes look like a 1950s Kitchenaid Mixer on wheels.
Zipping? That’s generous lol.

Star Wars is an IP that has so much potential. But as Jeremy has said before it's much more about execution than just concept.

Don’t see how Luke’s acting was bad but agree with everything else lol
Disneyfilm Luke is supposed to uphold the Jedi way so that he can fail, leading to the Last Jedi. What, did you think Disneyfilm was listening to all the whiners? Psych. Maybe regarding his CG look, but that's it.
@@commandercaptain4664 yeah they’re all about appearances. Unfortunately they’re doubling down on the sequels. But unlike the prequels, the base isn’t enough for good secondary media to make up for.
I don't want more Boba Fett seasons, but he'd be great as a side character in Mandalorian that just shows up occassionally like the guild leader.
Cad Bane was so fucking good. He needs to get picked up by the “modders” or whatever they called them and bring him back to life like Boba did in this very own series
Yeahhhhh, but I really don’t want every supposed death to be immediately reversed by the modders. It just feels kinda cheap to me
@@bluebomber875 Agreed.
I could somewhat accept that they saved' Fennec that way, given that she wasn't dead when Boba found her.
But Vanth coming back is total BS. What? The modders can just resurrect people that have actually died? Because Vanth was in fact killed by Bane, the barkeeper said so.
That might actually be a worthwhile story line. While I'm not crazy about Cad Bane, it would make sense for him to be brought back in that fashion.
Pros: The music/Boba's theme

Boba being helmetless the majority of the time. Come on man! I love Tem, but put the helmet on and stop smiling!
Boba getting upstaged in his own show. Literally by everyone else
Boba lets everyone do everything for him.
The strongest feeling I came away with was wanting more Mando and Cub.
@@jasonhenry8067 Agree bro. Which is sad, I really loved Boba growing up. Kinda got the shaft in his own show! Oh well. He may just work better as guest appearance type character for awhile.
Yeah Rodriguez shouldn't do starwars.

PREACH!
I disagree.
Personally I thought this show would’ve benefitted a lot from dedicating more time to it’s main villains and Boba building up power. The Mandalorian taking two of the seven episodes massively hurt it’s plot imo.
The ending felt a little unearned to me as a result.
Almost like the writers knew how terrible the previous episodes were so they just said fuck it mandalorian season 3.
And yet those 2 mandalorian episodes were easily the best of the show. Like in a different league.
If cad bane was introduced in episode 2 and he was on mando’s side, that would’ve been interesting. Cad and mando vs boba fett, we root for both sides

I definitely think he is still alive. His beeping chest monitor was a deliberately added detail, I think Todo 360 came back to save him off camera
Why the hell people keep wanting dead characters to magically survive
BoBF feels like Feloni playing with all his Star Wars toys, smashing them together in ways just to be cool.

They also completely went on deconstructing Luke's character.
I agree those episodes were really good. I think they they should have put them in the Mandalorian season 3 and expanded boba’s story more.
You're half right. There was a canon disney comic that showed Palpatine's advisor destroying Yoda's lightsaber. So this show retconned that comic.

Ahsoka is one of those characters who could have been so cool, but she was absolutely fucking ruined in the Clone Wars and it's so hard for her to be likeable now. And also, Rosario Dawson is a fucking kludge.
For me the main problem is that Boba sucks at being a crime boss, he is more like a mayor. he is so weak, for example when he asks the other crime bosses to stay neutral like a little bitch and then they obviously turned on him, or when he promises to keep that cantina safe and it gets blown up and more and more
“We gotta go back to when we were forgetting that stuff”

This show did good at portraying different sides of the more overlooked aspects in this universe, like how they managed to add a lot more layers to the Tuskens and showed them more than just as “Raiders”. It’s a small world building but still a very nice touch at that
I like how Jeremy didn’t release a review for each episode so I watched other channels, and watching this video reminded me why he’s my favourite reviewer.
YES
One quality review is better than micro analyzing a rather straightforward episode.
Especially when they take 20 minutes to ramble about each episode where the plot wasn’t that crazy
I like how the Gamorrean twins where the only ones to die at the end and nothing else was said about them. No commemoration or anything.

(Why hype them up as a threat if they’re just going to leave after a couple episodes?)
Bottom line is, I don’t feel like they showed enough respect/understanding for the potential of these characters. I enjoyed the show a lot (especially the tusken arc), but I’m hoping they do better in the future.
This one million times over

I couldn’t have said it better, if we are really honest it was mostly boring.

He's dead though.

I love it too, but they better not ret-con. Leaves on the Wind is a terrific follow up, and we don’t need to push it aside.

@@armhelc7501 he literally says "This doesn't fit us" implying that were getting more of Boba and Fennec doing bounty Hunter shit.
Mando's original ship was Bad A; had room to store bounties, Grogu, multiple levels...now a silly podracer of the air/space
IF they did all the Naboo stuff, the Boonta course, Luke, Mando and Grogu etc for fan service well then WHAT ABOUT BOBA????
Hello fellow SWG fan. Have a good day ☺️
Just like in season 2 of Mando, I couldn't stop thinking that The Book of Boba Fett is just a huge recycling of Star Wars stuff we've seen a thousand times, in a desperate attempt to milk nostalgia as much as possible.
They weren’t on screen for more than 10 minutes lmao
I thought the final episode was really good but it is far from what I was hoping for, that said I still loved it.
that’s the thing people who are usually disappointed are because they expect too much and want cameos that may or may not show up
@@deathking1019 Well, to be fair, the trailers and promos set it up in a way that implied Boba would be taking over as a crimelord. To remedy this, all they had to do was frame Boba as reinstalling order and justice to a lawless Tatoonie.
Wake up Read the Bible i care about you❤️ Jesus loves you repent before it’s too late -john 3:16 Matthew 24:12
I clapped bc i know star wars! :)
Thats you
@@deathking1019 your solution is to expect absolutely nothing and be prepared to be disappointed in order to find some enjoyment??? How fucking sad
@@dannylynch5038 If he actually wore his damn helmet he wouldn’t have to worry about the scars.
Ep 5 and 6 were some of the best Star Wars content ever.
Ep 2 was pretty great.
Ep 1, 4 and 7 were decent.
Ep 3 was terrible
Interesting.
I really liked 4 and 5.
I thought 6 and 7 were ok.
Everything else sucked.
If the show gets better without the lead character, they've got a big problem lol
You're speaking the gospel. Without ep 5 and 6 this show would've been trash. Mando, Luke and Grogu saved this show. Boba's story arc was mediocre at best. I don't understand why The Mandalorian is so much better than this show.
@@SaraphDarklaw You thought ep 6 was just okay? I thought that was possibly the most satisfying SW fan service since the OG trilogy.
@@gotf Honestly, I liked it, but it was pretty slow and dialogue heavy lol
happy to see that you started to use pictures in your reviews. hope you do that more. maybe small clips while reviewing. that would catch the attention more easily. keep it up 🙌🏼
A train job sounds really dirty
*series potential. No way this garbage is getting renewed for a second season
Take my opinion with a grain of salt though, since I've never actually seen the show.
@@harmonlanager2670 if I got eaten by the sand vageen I would simply not be painfully digested for a thousand years
I agree about Cad Bane. Too great of a character to kill off that easy. His death didn’t feel earned to me.
""death"" is disney boi.
He didn't die
Boba is one of my favorites, definitely a little disappointed with the show, but definitely some awesome moments as a Star Wars fan
Like when boba fett shot a missle at a shield right in his face, so awesome
@@DrViperVideos Or the time he flew his ship right into the mouth of the Sarlacc because scanners (or that handy dandy scout droid Sniper Lady has) don't exist in Star Wars anymore. And he did it because he thought his armor was still in there somehow, which makes you wonder why he would assume the stupid thing was dead...
Yeah this show was just great...
@@williamcronshaw5262 he thought it was dead because he burned it up from the inside
@@cable7152 So why would he think that his armor is still in there? Unless he doesn't remember for some stupid reason, but then we're just circling back to the first point aren't we? Here let me just save you a headache, that whole scene was stupid.
Btw even if he thought it was dead, why the fuck would you do that anyway? You're blocking the light source with your massive ship of course you won't see anything. If only these handy scanner things existed.
@@williamcronshaw5262 no you're right, thinking it was still in there made no sense
This is what disney does.
Has a single success, so they milk it with garbage movies/series until it becomes a something to be mocked and ridiculed.
no one talks about the badass tusken who taught Boba
Cad bane Was suppost to Die in that deleted/unfinished clone wars Episode by the hands of boba fett, so having him here die by boba makes it come full circle.
Idk man, there was still a beeping light on his chest during that last shot. I think he’s gonna survive.
This is why i love Jeremy. A honest review
Cad Bane was dope AF... I truly hope he comes back. By far the coolest character I've seen on here
Having Grogu back with Mando is so absolutely stupid, makes mandalorian season 2 have zero impact then
I watched the season episode to episode and I've gotta say--this show is totally a show that is best binged!
Totally agree!
It’s a shame they reunited Mando and Grogu so soon. We only saw them apart for 1 episode and even then they were only a mile apart. It would have been way more rewarding to go maybe half of season 3 with them apart so you really appreciate the reunion.
Imagine if you skip Boba and just start watching Mando season 3 and grogu is already back with him. So not a fan of that either
I agree. This makes the finale of season 2 weaker in retrospect, since they've been apart now for what, only a week? And even in episode 6 Ahsoka gave him a good reason not to see him. Now back to normal...weird. oO
They basically undid almost all of Grogu's arc in season 2 of Mando. Finding his kind, the call out to Luke, all of it. Now that is completely reset.
@@Ray_2112 and there is an in-story conversation to have about Ahsoka's perspective but unfortunately we didn't have that and Grogu just shows up in chapter 7. Ugh.
Wolf Among Us 2 trailer dropped , will you be making a video on this
Woaahh really?? Telltale is back?? About time!!
Loved it. Currently planning on getting a Boba Fett riding the Rancor tattoo because that was an image I was completely unaware that I needed in my life
This show was okay. It was very boring initially but got good later on. But overall I have one thought. That thought is, “I’m so sick of Tatooine.”
The fact Jeremy still does his thumbnails in GIMP in 2022 is hilarious.
I felt like Boba got nerfed , he only had one or two good action scenes in this series in my opinion
He was old and fat too, should never have taken off his helmet and left him alone in the prequels
Solid opinions man, that's why this channel is one of my favorites.
@@SeanDSarcasm like the spin
@@SeanDSarcasm Lol Disney killed star wars but this really wasnt that much different from an EU Boba Fett story.
@@decoyaardvark2828 Same on how Palpatine still returned in the EU. Even more so that he turned Luke evil.
13:42 "I am your father's brothers's nephew's cousin's former roommate!"
Heard a lot of negativity about the series. This has changed my view. Gona binge it now. Thanks JJ.
Was a near impossible task for the finale to eclipse the high of last episode
Agreed
Loved it! I also lost my "shite" when they introduced Cad Bane! His swagger is just 100% lethal! Hopefully they're not so stupid to kill a char that has so much potential!
"...train job is like the second greatest job you can get" well said, friend, well said 😆
Cad Bane was rushed and forced. If you hadn't seen clone wars you wouldn't give a fk or find him as a threat. The finale didn't feel like a finale at all just felt like meh with spectacle for the sake of spectacle
