I love the ingenious stuff the Aussies come up with! Exceeded only by the Ukrainians. (Wes...were you at Tinker back when? I was in the 963rd for several years, maint.)
Wes, that isn't an Aussie AWACS in your background photo but Australia has loaned AWACS to NATO to keep up the 24/7 surveillance over the battle space of importance to NATO. Just an example of Russia's illegal, senseless aggression is being countered by more than Ukraine, by more than Europe, by more than NATO. I am proud of Australia's contribution to Ukraine's defence of its Motherland, the gifted M-777 howitzers, the Bushmasters light armoured vehicle, the Slinger anti-drone defence systems and yes, the Aussie cardboard attack drones. War is a great innovator, probably the best innovator and cause for a paradigm shift in technology, thinking and tactics! What is so astounding is Ukraine's clever adaptation, faced with an overwhelming, far superior invading enemy intent on genocide, a repeat of 1940's Hitler's Nazis with superior military might, to adapt and fight where the invader is weak and vulnerable. Ukraine has adopted drone warfare, everything from sniping a single Russian invader hiding in a fox hole with a tiny FPV kill drone to a very long range, heavy drone cruise missile facsimile to destroy a military target very deep inside Russia. It is really is a paradigm shift in modern warfare, Ukraine has built a million drones of every type and capability, very cheaply, very efficiently and so very effective. So what if the first two or three $200 or $1,000 drones fail when the third and fourth kill a $3 million tank, or a $35 million fighter jet, or help sink a $750 million flagship warship or a $billion dollar S-500 air defence system. Especially when, in bang for the buck, Ukraine is getting the best of new Western weaponry for free to try out, to select what works best from the best innovative brains in the West. Nothing beats real combat testing and the West is re-arming for the future, in part informed by Ukraine's defence of its Motherland from an superior invader.
Australian here. FYI “corvids” are a family of Australian birds (crows, ravens, magpies, etc). The Currawong is one of my favourites… I feed them rolled oats on my balcony. Highly intelligent!
G'day Wes, good onya mate! Probably best to stay away from our lingo. I'm 'shouse' with US accents. Like you I'm ex-Air Force (RAAF) from the early 70s. I did most of my time supporting our C-130 squadrons, nothing as high-tech as the kites you worked on. Back then, at my base, we would have weekly, routine visits from USAF kites, like Starlifters, going to and from South East Asia. I got to make some really bonza US mates and always showed them some Aussie (liquid) hospitality whenever possible. I still keep in touch with a few of them after all these years. We, like you blokes, don't like to see a world 'super' power picking on little countries simply because they don't want anything to do with their former overlords. Last year I heard about our foamboard drone aircraft when they started being sent to the Ukraine. Talk about value for money. A great use of our taxpayer dollars. I'm certain that Ukrainian ingenuity will come up with interesting, comparatively, devastating payloads for these cool little items. I'd like to thank you for, again, paying attention to what the Australian military and government are doing for the freedom fighters of Ukraine. I sometimes find it curious that Australia, as a member of the 'Five Eyes' pact, is overlooked and hardly ever mentioned by international military reporters. The ADF is tiny, compared to many world militaries, however, that means we always are on the lookout for new, cheaper technologies that still get the job done. I've subscribed so I'm looking forward to seeing new videos and catching up on your older ones. Cheers, and all the best. Thank you for your service. Bill H. Слава Україні! 'Slava Ukraini' !
Hello Bill you may have heard of the ghost bat drone that is being tested in Australia. The mq 28 B is designed to carry a pair of amram missiles internally. I believe it would be a great asset for Ukraine as an air defense system. Especially because it could fly at least 20 hours a day and only costs about 10 million dollars
Perhaps the Aussies should make a glide-then-fly version. Launch it from a light plane at a high altitude and have it glide down before starting the motor. That'd extend the range at no cost.

If you keep up your good work Wes, you will be named together with Arthur, Georgie, Starsky, Torsten [M & H], Denyz, RFU, Mark, Kontantin and others in one breath some day. All this with the important side effect, that the awareness down under will be raised, we are on the brink of WW III and that the outcome of ruZZias invasion of Ukraine will defuse the situation if we [the collective western democracies] are willing to do enough to let Ukraine win. It will show the other bullies from the dark side, that having imperialistic ideas is not the way to go in the 21st century. Please keep up the good work. Slava Ukrainii! and thanks a lot from a german geezer.

@@freddiefreihofer7716 You should do a little research. Trump refused to say he wanted Ukraine to win during his debate with VP Harris. In Feb 2022, Vance’s exact words were “I gotta be honest with you, I don’t really care what happens to Ukraine one way or another.” - Vance 2/2022 In 2017, Andrew McCabe (ex-director of the FBI) warned that Trump may be a Russian asset. They have been sending them for years they are useless against Russian jamming have made no difference.
Go the aussies 🇦🇺
Australia punching above its weight since 1901!
OZZIE..OZZIE...OZZIE
Oi, Oi, Oi 😁👍
There's also a Heavy Lift version called the PPDS-HL which has double the payload capacity (6kg) and an increased range of between 80-200km depending on the payload (6kg/3kg). Would love to see these given to Ukraine as that puts a lot more Russian airfields within striking distance.
I'm very proud of my Aussie mates, and especially when they care about countries in need like Ukraine right now. Go Aussie. God bless Australia.
couldn't be more ashamed honestly.
Us Aussie's thinking outside the box.... wait use the box! 😀
Kudos to Australia.
Helping Ukraine fight for freedom & independence from Putin .
Great going.
I'm laughing all the way to Russia's/Putin's fall due to cardboard drones from Australia! Wait a minute, did I hear that right? Holy-moly, that is a real laugher! Aussies, step forward for your victory ribbon! Way to go Aussies!!! We salute you big time!!! From America, we send big cheers to you. Lord only knows how many lives are being saved. 🙂

Slava Ukraini!
Aussie here. Note to presenter: 99% score on the accent. Great effort. Unlock the final 1% by practicing saying Wukkas to rhyme with buckets, not wookies. 😊
Thanks for a terrific report mate.
Yeah that was a pretty good effort.
I agree… It is very rare that an American can pull up the Aussie accent convincingly!
Hey from Western Australia 🇦🇺✊🇺🇦
Me too. Glad we can help Ukraine
Great video as usual! I am looking forward to watching your channel grow! Aussies would say, "Good on ya mate! Fair dinkum."
Australia punches so above its weight class its incredible
, Let's hear it for the Aussies. Thank you Australia 😊👍 USA
I love the ingenious stuff the Aussies come up with! Exceeded only by the Ukrainians. (Wes...were you at Tinker back when? I was in the 963rd for several years, maint.)
So it is true! Everything in Australia can kill you...even discarded pizza boxes 😂😂
Pizza Hut and Domino’s here in Australia should do this as extra on the menu for local kids to play with . lol
Another aussie here 😊awesome video and love those card board drones 🎉 very cool
Excellent analysis. Subscribed. All the best. 🇺🇦🇬🇧
The majestic bird, the crow!
Clearly he has never been to Australia.
Australian crows act more like aggressive eagles.
Then majestic birds 🤣
And the buggers are really smart, with long memories.
When i drove across the Nullabor
I saw crows pecking at roo roadkill
and they were as big as wedge-tailed eagles.
Slava Ukraini from Australia🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦
"No wuckas" ( as in duck not look) . It comes from reversing " no f##ken worries", to no wucken forries. hence, no wuckas. You're welcome.
Australian here. FYI “corvids” are a family of Australian birds (crows, ravens, magpies, etc). The Currawong is one of my favourites… I feed them rolled oats on my balcony. Highly intelligent!
I remember reading about this amazing drone a while back. Here's my respectful thank you from Yankee land to the thundering mates down there 😌
G'day Wes, good onya mate!
I dont believe an cardboard drone can stand supported under any kind of fighter o transport plane. Is just stiff enough to be in one piece.
No Wukkas? 'No worries. Mate' The spirit of Australia is flying in Ukraine. Australia the quiet achiever.
Under the Southern Cross I stand, a sprig of wattle in my hand, a native of my native land, Australia you FUCKING BEAUTY!
a paper drone worth $5000 that is capable of taking out 2 aircraft worth $100 million IS EFFICIENCY keep up the good work mate. we need guys like you. just subscribed. looks like you need a few more subs. Cheers fella. God bless America , our dear dear friend.
This makes me proud to be australian. Or as we say here, "No worries mate!" 👍
This could become one of the 10 most important channels reporting on and supporting Ukraine.

Trump means fart in the UK, just saying…
Yeah, Trump made the US military great again during his term as president and Putin said, "That's just what we wanted - a US military bigger, better, and more powerful than ever". Put down the pipe and use a little logic, man!
@@freddiefreihofer7716
You should do a little research. Trump refused to say he wanted Ukraine to win during his debate with VP Harris.
In Feb 2022, Vance’s exact words were “I gotta be honest with you, I don’t really care what happens to Ukraine one way or another.” - Vance 2/2022
In 2017, Andrew McCabe (ex-director of the FBI) warned that Trump may be a Russian asset.
So yes, Trump is EXACTLY what Putin wants.
Also, your information about our military is incorrect. Trump campaigned on the promise that he would increase active duty personnel to 540,000 but when he left office, the number of active duty personnel was unchanged from when he took office … 475,000.

Excellent video.
As you commented on, it uses foam board but its foam board with a card outside layer with wax on top. Its a method of foam board often used in cheap homemade RC planes etc, Built a few myself. Bought mine from a company called FliteTest.
That drone needs the Amazon Prime logo on it.
No it needs boxing kangaroos 🦘.
