I think you missed the one OG version where you can actually tell the time, GA-2100-1A. =) Also if you press the bottom left and top right buttons at the same time ( press the top right in first) the hands move out of the way of the display. Bottom left to move them back, or wait a moment and they should also return to regular time. And the OG model also has a metal buckle, but it also has a negative display on the lcd.
I have the gray version that I wear a lot. I think it sits flatter on the wrist than the 5600E that I also have. The carbon core makes it a bit lighter as well. Sometimes I do really forget I have the watch on. The gray colorway is really low key which is what drew me to it.
It's nice piece of watch, unfortunately, it's mess with dark display, hard to read negative dials. If you considering, buy Tough Solar. In days of smart watches it's hell to switch all buttons to find out how it works.

i got the Black with the blue neon accents. its great. i have alot of GShocks. How long is the battery these?

Agree - the Huf strap is really bad. I just don't get it. I've never worn it because of that, will have to sell it.
I had a G Shock for a few years that I enjoyed, but the negative display and the thickness make me leave it on the bookshelf
