    Your detailed explanation of "What is a VSL?" was priceless! Especially the subtle differences between a sales letter and a VSL.I now understand why "rhythm" and "pattern interrupt" are essential components of a VSL!

    Very clear ... and quite entertaining too Jon! We are so lucky to have you as a mentor on VSL's and on making them amazing! Thank-you also for the 3-day sales sequence. WOW! I can't wait to use this in my next sequence! So excited! About to launch my next 10 part video series where I'm showing parents how important it is to raise money smart kids, using my coma story like you taught me to, and I absolutely plan on using this sequence to make the final push. Also, of course diving into my NowVSL to create a newer version of my much-outdated old one. So so excited! Big hugs 🤗💖

    Jon - Last night I started binge watching all of your Videos since Day 1 of your new UA-cam Channel. This morning I woke up and the first thing that entered my consciousness was the pattern interrupt open loop example you gave that I wrote in my notes. My brain must have been trying all night to figure out how your "Magic jacket helped you lose 75 pounds". You promised to tell more about that in a minute. My brain is totally annoyed and distracted by that open loop. I did some Googling attempting to make my brain happy by closing the loop and did not find the explanation my brain needed for me to find. However, I did come across an excellent example of an actual funnel you analyzed from FB Ad to the nitty gritty stats that resulted. I took a deep dive into studying this funnel and learned a lot. It was the Lead Quizzes interview that began with the Thyroid survey FB Ad. It was quite an intense rabbit hole for me to dive into, but very instructive. (There was no Magic Jacket).
    The content you provide in these videos inspires me to create my first VSL for my digital marketing agency funnel, which I'm currently working on. It always seemed like such a daunting task to create a VSL, that I didn't feel confident enough to take it on as a project.
    While conscious I really don't care about your Magic Jacket and how it helped you lose 75 pounds because I am a digital marketer, and a connoisseur of great copy. But when I am asleep, my brain is totally frustrated and annoyed as it spirals around the open loop. It really wants to know more about that Magic jacket. As I am in the health, fitness, weight loss niche I love to build my swipe file when I run across great copy. Would you kindly indulge my brain about the magic jacket?
    Thanks for the great content - I am learning a lot.

      That's a pretty harrowing tale, Zee! Sorry to cause your subconscious to explode there... : ) I actually do explain the magic jacket in that video, at least in brief. The jacket was this extra-extra large leather jacket that I wore because I was so fat. I had close to a 50" waistline, and the only jacket they had at the store was a 55". It was so huge, I had ample space in there to stuff those Ding Dongs into the jacket without arousing suspicion. A horrible low in my life for sure. So it became the cornerstone of my initial weight loss experience. The really sad part is I don't have that jacket any longer - it was lost in my move to Malibu. But it made for a helluva story.

      @@JonBensonSalesCopySecrets I commend you for the path you chose to turn your life around in such a powerful way. I can only imagine how painful it is to relive this story. When we look back at events and situations that at the time seem like the worst thing in the world that we could imagine happening in our lives, there always seems to be a silver lining. I totally get how that jacket saved your life. The memory of that low point in your life is a great source of motivation and inspiration as well. Thank you for sharing your story. You inspire me!
      For months I have been receiving a payment receipt e-mail from you, followed by another e-mail with the subject line "Activating your new Auto-Write feature in Now VSL (instructions). After watching every video you have posted so far on this channel, I am inspired to take this "Lamborghini" software out for a spin. I'm in Jay's training and he has been patiently waiting for a year for me to complete my "Professional Freelance Writer" website. I have written the "About Me" page dozens of times and it never quite lands. Today is the day I brush the overwhelm and procrastination aside and take this on as my project for the day.
      Thank you for the UA-cam videos, Jon. I appreciate your telling this story. I apologize if my inquiry about the jacket was insensitive and hit a nerve. That was not my intention. I will never forget the power of the open loop, which was the point I meant to make, but did so inartfully.

    At the end of the video when you talked about upsell... So what you suggest is to make another VSL inside the checkout page below the payment information. Instead of just putting the purchase option and a caption explaining the upsell product? selling upsell with sales video converts more than just the option to tag with written information?

    • @JonBensonSalesCopySecrets
      @JonBensonSalesCopySecrets  2 роки тому +1

      Not exactly Amanda. You want to get the front-end purchase handled before you go to an up sell page. This would be "Step 2" in the checking out process, usually framed as "Upgrade Option" or something like. The initial order is placed, and now someone can upgrade the order if they wish.

      Rarely Douglas. You can if it's like a short video intro, or if it's a dark or grim topic (ala Agora), but MOST music should be avoided. You never know what your prospect will and will not like.

    Jon have you got a price range that youd recommend for a VSL longer than 30 mins ? Like is there a lowest and highest amount youd recommend. Ofcourse it depends on the offer but just a general rule of thumb? Thanks Jon!

    • @JonBensonSalesCopySecrets
      @JonBensonSalesCopySecrets  2 роки тому

      Hi Jani! It can vary for sure. For example, you can have a 30m VSL that sells for several hundred dollars if there is a strong brand. Biotrust is an example. But generally speaking, I advise nothing over $17-25 for shorter VSLs.

      @@JonBensonSalesCopySecrets Thanks Jon! this will be for JV traffic who have slightly warmed them up in the email before they click to view the VSL which is positioned as a free training video as most cold traffic VSL's are... with a hidden buy button etc... I am going for $77 or $97 for the front end on this so i think i'll need the VSL to be around 30-40 mins!

    Thanks you Jon. Quick question for you. So let's say I wanted to promote a product. Instead of creating a long-form advertorial, I can use nowvsl to create a vsl instead? And your program creates the proven copy? Is that correct? I mostly focus on the health niche targetting women and men over yrs old. Thanks!

    • @JonBensonSalesCopySecrets
      @JonBensonSalesCopySecrets  3 роки тому +1

      Hi Hiteah. Yes that’s exactly what it focuses on. Now VSL in particular is centered around copy for products and software platforms and services. Products is my teaching tutorial inside the software, and of all things it’s a teaching tutorial based around health and weight loss because that’s where I started myself. Of course you can use it in any industry but I use that as the teaching mechanism. I think you’d really enjoy it.

    • @always90s
      @always90s 3 роки тому +1

      @@JonBensonSalesCopySecrets Thanks for the quick response. So NowVSL creates proven VSL scripts for me? Then I tailor it for a product I want to promote. Then all I need to do is hire a person who can do the voice for it. The reason I am asking this is because it usually cost 500 bucks for 2500 word piece of copy from a decent copywriter. If your program can create the copy for me and then all I need to do is hire a voice over person. Then what is the difference between NowVSL and CopyPro? Thanks!

    • @JonBensonSalesCopySecrets
      @JonBensonSalesCopySecrets  3 роки тому +1

      Now VSL does a lot more than create the scripts for you. It’s in-depth training on the psychology in Persuasion a video sells letters from the person who invented video sales letters. It gives you versions of video sales letters that you can create instantaneously from your long form including 20 minute five minute and one minute versions. It’s training couched inside extremely cool software. The difference between Now VSL Task List pro is now VSL is strictly video sales let her focus. CopyPro does not do a lot of VSL’s it does everything else: the emails the opt in page is the written sells pages etc. They’re meant to work together. Now VSL requires that you do some work of course. I can’t know everything there is to know about you or your product, but all the outlines and scripting and heavy lifting of the copy is done for you.
