Thank you for breaking this down, I didn’t even know what a VSL was before I watched this video! My question is: can you share an example of an actual VSL ad or video so I can see these 5 items in action? Or should I just look for them the next time I watch a video ad? Also I love all the extra cutaways to the funny video clips to get your point across. Super fun and definitely keeps my interest! As an auditory learner, video has always been my preferred way to engage with content!

(Story, rhetorical question, call out the benefits ie “if u wanna”
3. What is the solution? “I do hv sthg that can help u and here’s how” - case study or story that keep interest
4. What is the big deal - usp, not features, why me?
Must be conversational
5. What is next step? Answer doubts, any perks, concise CTA (all throughout video)
There's only one real problem with your videos... I can't stop watching them long enough to actually begin writing. If Content is King, then Procrastination is the Court Jester! This is a dilemma...

VSL and written emails are basically the same. there are just slight differences but overall they are almost the same
Great video, found it skimming through UA-cam and your video showed up on the right side bar. Quick question , do you have any experience writing VSL for people who are English as a Second Language and may not understand the finer nuances of copy written for native speakers? do you find that even writing the script in English and then translating it, would a lot of the nuances be lost since some marketing styles internationally may appeal (or not) differently?
I personally do not have experience with this, no! I would say that if you're writing a script in English then translating it, you'll DEF want a native speaker of that language to go through and make sure the nuances and everything still make sense.
