Jesus became man for us.
Jesus fought for us.
Jesus suffered for us.
Jesus died for us.
Jesus rose for us.
Jesus is our Merciful King.
What a true gift here! Thank you, Fr. Mike.
Thank you Father Mike. Thank you Lord Jesus for calling Father Mike to be with us in this Bible in a year.
Lord Jesus, I humbly pray for myself, Father Mike, & all the people participating in the Bible-in-Year podcast. May your word take deep root in our hearts & transform our ways of thinking, deciding, and acting. May your grace open our ears to hear & understand God's voice in the Scriptures that we may revere & treasure both the Old & the New Testaments which God has prepared for all who desire to enter his kingdom. Send us your Holy Spirit to give us the Spirit of Knowledge, that we may know God and know ourselves. Give us the grace to approach the Word of God with meekness & humility, & with an eagerness to do everything God desires. Help us to be diligent students & faithful disciples of your Word. May our hearts never grow dull & may our ears never tire of listening to your voice. Amen.
Today's Bible in a Year is full of miracles after miracles. One thing that strikes me is that despite all these, people did not believe in Jesus because they thought they knew Jesus, who was just an ordinary man who they thought would not have been capable of doing such miraculaous things. Jesus marvelled at their unbelief (Mark 6:6).
Reflecting on my own life, how many times Jesus has shown His miracles in my life. Yet, when I am faced with challenges, I often lose my faith that Jesus is capable to perform His miracles in my life even after I have seen Him doing it all my life. I realize, probably Jesus also marvelled at my unbelief. So many times, He shook His head.
Jesus, forgive me for losing faith when challenges came to my life. Lord, I believe; help my unbelief. Amen.
Take, Lord, and receive. I give you my all so that I may do Your will.
Amazing, Our service today we were asked to stand up and cup our hands in the receiving position, the flatten them out in a giving position, it was about shining bright for God, lo and behold Fr Mike practically says the same thing. God has a way of talking to us through others.
It is not our job to feed the 5000, it is only our job to bring the loaves and fishes

I love hearing about the miracles Jesus performed and the gospel of St. Mark. We still receive miracles today although sometimes we don't recognize them until later. Actually, waking up today is a miracle. I thank you Lord Jesus for all the miracles you give me daily.

I think everytime they looked down at the basket after giving food to someone another fish and loaf appears, ping. Just like that. & it kept happening as they approach the next person and the next. Ping. Fish appears in the basket. & bread. Ping. Keeps appearing. On and on it went. Ping. Amazing miracle. & just touching the garment of Jesus instantly healed the lady. WOW. Imagine her feeling at that moment. Instantly healed just from touching his garment of clothing. Jesus is incredible. I can see it.

Father mike I should learn a lot from you. You don't know it, but you got me to come back to the church. Listening to your other topics.
Can I took my classes all over again online. How is calmed away from the church for thirteen years. But I came back i've been back for fifteen months now. Did all my confessions. No, I'm a practicing Catholic.
Go to church every sunday and holy day Of Obligation. Go to confession when some month. Take a holy Communion every sunday. I'm enjoying going to mass . And I don't understand the Bible. But you help me by reading it I have a learning disability Because I don't know how to read. This is far as I went ever in the bible with you. I didn't realize there was so many evil things and the Bible about what what other people would do. Like some of the kings in all that stuff. I can't spell some music on my microphone.

God asks for our little and urges us not to be afraid. He heals even those possessed and suffering for years. What do we have to fear? Whatever the shortcoming Jesus has got us. He raised the dead girl. He has demonstrated power to transform and change us to do God's goodwill. Avail yourself! That's all He asks!
Thank God for baptism and snatching us from Satan's kingdom. May we, through the Grace of God and intervention of Christ, merit to be called children of God, worthy vessels of Christ' Word! Amen! Lord, heal me and use me, I plead! Amen!

God would reply to St. Gertrude that He would use whatever was offered to Him for the faithful departed, according to His inclination to show pardon & mercy.
Bishop Fernandes, our newly ordained Bishop in the Diocese of Columbus, Ohio, did our Confirmation today at St. John Logan. It was a huge blessing!

I continue to love listening to this. Thank you Fr Mike for your wonderful explanations. People all over are praying for a child who's name is Carson and whos 13th is this Saturday. His family have been told there is nothing more the drs can do for him. He has suffered for 7years with leukaemia. Prayers have been said all over tge world for him and this gospel gave me more hope

Dear Jesus my son Matthew has mental health. It started when he was 13 on the 18th June he will be 33. Matthew has obsessive compulsive disorder and body dysmorphia. Jesus I am so scared and sad . It has been horrific for past 20 years but Jesus my precious Jesus I know you are looking after him . He lives alone. Tonight he told me he talks to himself on the street,to reassure himself. People look at him strange. It hurts so much Jesus . There is no help from services . You are our Help . My Faith is in you Jesus . You know every hair on Matthews head . I place Matthew in your hands . I would not trust anyone else with Matthew only you Jesus 🙏💕

One day I would like to see Fr Mike explain the Legion passage. Lot about it I never completely grasped.
The legion part meant that the person possessed by 4,500 demon’s. A legion was 4,500 soldier’s. God bless. Praise Jesus and Mary always!!! Not sure how old you are or if you know this. In the old days, Armies were measured in Legions. His comment means that the world, since it is controlled by Satan, has endless demons at work. In this case 2000 demons were exorcised from that person. Hope that helps.

In today's Gospel, we see the beginning of the use of sacramentals. A woman knows it is enough to touch Jesus' clothing. It actually goes back to ancient Jewish custom, where handkerchiefs were passed to the sick from the Levitical priests. Another thing that gets overlooked in this reading is that Jesus delegated His authority. Elijah the great prophet told Elisha that he lacked authority to pass on his power, but Jesus demonstrates that He delegates authority to whomever He wishes. Another proof of His divinity that continues especially in the priesthood and diaconate.

A motivating episode about Jesus’ love for us, power over evil and how He multiplies our good things we give to Him.
*Jesus shows how God values humans more than birds or animals because we are made in God's image so while God loves all of His creations, God cares much more for each human. Thus, the evil spirit gets inside 2000 pigs while the human gets relieved.
*Jesus gave power of evil spirits to His disciples. Through the Church, it is passed down to priests.
*Jesus mentions sheep without Shepherd- people without baptism and guidance about God. Thus, the importance of evangelizing
* Fr. Mike is right about the Devil having dominion over Earth and humans. We often forget this and stay careless. We must be careful, get baptized if we haven't already and keep our faith strong. Great facts about the Spanish PhD priest who analyzed baptism being our escape from the Devil's ownership.
* Jesus multiplies 2 fishes and 5 loaves to feed many people. Whatever we give to Jesus is multiplied like how whatever we give to God is never wasted.
*It’s sad to see John the Baptist getting executed for mentioning what is right. He was a great martyr.

I would like people to think about this while reading list they talk about how children were not valued in Time of Jesus‘s walk on this earth. The fact of the matter is that there are some that still don’t value children please pray that the unborn who is a little child offspring receives personhood legally therefore no more abortions can happen regardless of what some bishops may say abortion is still the preeminent issue in our society because if he will kill the youngest what is it to kill the neighbor and who cares about anybody’s rights if you’re dead there are no rights to fight for and the babies in the womb are the most innocent and according to God they have rights Just as much as you are I do

I don't understand these chapters. Yesterday, it was said that Jesus had no siblings, but today, it talks about Jesus' brothers and sisters again. Are these brothers and sisters also cousins?
Jesus says that anyone who believes & follows Him are His brother, His sister, His mother.
