This Holy Man beside the River represents how I have felt since Christmas of '19, when i lost my friend of 17 + years, my Missy. . . and yet death cannot be, is not, the end. Still the transition with all its urgency and regrets is a heaviness upon the Soul. This Artist knew of this Pathos, this inescapable pause in our Existence. God's Peace, good Sir.
Wow! The photo fits this music sooooo well! I just recently discovered Oöphoi and was sad to find that he had passed. This song fits his passing, I think, because he has gone into the great mystery. Rest in peace, good sir.
Recently I was in Sri Lanka and ... the atmosphere contained in this beautiful piece perfectly reflects what is happening there. Thanks to this music, I can feel the tropics, mystical aura, heavy and seductive smells of nature, sounds from the temple floating on the water ... something beautiful !!!
Excellent, from brilliant musician/magazine editor, Gianluigi Gasparetti, who departed this planet early. i wonder how the waters of the Ganges look today, at about 4 weeks into the COVID-19 epidemic... probably never been so clean and clear. #OdedFriedGaon #OdedMusic #Audioded
And now it has been over 5 months since the onset of COVID-19 pandemic (in India); surely the Ganges -- as most bodies of water -- is more clean. i have heard dolphins have been seen plying the waters there. And in 5 more months, what then? Nature will breathe again, if 100 million of us are ill and at home, or dead. . . .
. . . And 11 months + into the Pandemic, we cross the 100 Million mark, indeed. Two, maybe three, Million dead, and so many in the hospital. Nature has a respite, a sabbath of sorts.
La culpa, el mantra... la experiencia espiritual que como una roca, que parte, que rompe en su encuentro a la onda acuática , así nos sobreviene el dolor. la muerte

Oophoi was so versatile. I love the chant in this piece. Wonderful.
And wonderfully said. This chant speaks to us as well as anything else I've heard in this Lifetime. . .

RIP Oöphoi - Gianluigi...awesome tunes.
Gianluigi went back into the Great Mystery. . . our loss, but ours to follow.
One of the beautiful sound of universe

It is fcuking amazing. Deep diving !
I was in Varanasi, there were real sadhus and many fake ones. Nonetheless, it was still a great spiritual experience to be in that wonderful city.

loving the picture...and just found out that the sadhus on the pic is fake... the world turns for another day...
There are real sadhus?
mikol58 I don't now...depends if your question is ironical :)
Ivan Hećimović I bet you can figure that out...:)
And yet for every day the World turns in 2021, over 4,000 Indians parish from COVID-19. This sadhus has reason to fast, and meditate. . .

Love it. But how many people would feel comfortable dressed/made up like him? :)

Harrrker, what do you mean exactly, "I just found out the pic of the sadhu is fake"?
I was wondering same and I found this post www.lindadreams.com/2011/02/linda-meets-real-sadhu-on-banks-of.html :)
picture is not fake...and it is great photo
you need good actor, not necessarily real sadhu for it :)
Would a Sadhu wear a leopard fur, even a faux fur ?
yeah if the leopard was his closest friend throughout it's life and then died beside his beloved sadhu ;)
:D
what difference does it make?
Do we know who took this photo?
