- Athlit (2002) - my favorite album from Oöphoi, this final track is something I cannot explain properly. One of the best musical experience ever. Everyone interested in ambient should listen to this classic! Its worth noting that some synths in this piece come from Gianluigi's longtime collaborator Tau Ceti. ...Just floating in vast regions of space and witnessing birth of millions of stars.... or feeling nostalgic and thinking about great memories from the past...

I could float away to this music all day and night. I can't believe it took me this long to discover this artist and sad he's no longer with us.
Frankly, I find it simply amazing that any video on UA-cam has zero downvotes after 5+ years. That says alot about Oophoi's music, which I've only recently discovered.

Ammetto di essermi commosso quando ho avuto il piacere di aver letto il tuo commento. Gianluigi è stata una persona squisita, un astronauta della musica per come ti porta in mondi in cui solo lui è capace di portarti. Ti confesso che ci penso spesso a lui e mi manca proprio come se per me fosse stato un parente. Ora il nostro compito migliore è quello di rendere vivo il suo ricordo.
Aldilà della musica, posso solo dire che è stato un uomo straordinario, era capace di farti immergere in una profondità immensa con la sola melodia della sua voce.

Thanks god there are plenty of musicians playing real dark ambient, ritual ambient and drone - who don't fall into that "healing musing" category of boring and dull new-age tracks. btw, classic new age music (~1971-1978) was good, deep and imaginative.

Please will you tell me where I can find this music? I'm trying EVERYWHERE but I can't find it for sale.
It's an extremely rare music CD ; I recently managed to obtain a copy of this stunning album by Oophoi, but it was no easy matter. I asked a friend of mine who runs a music shop in my town close to where I live, dealing mainly in vinyl albums, given the popular revival of vinyl. He was able to trace only 4 brand new copies of it for sale in the whole world, each in 4 different countries, one of which was the UK where I myself live. Good luck if you happen to read this after 3 years from your request -- you might be able to obtain one of the only 3 remaining copies, but you''ll need to engage the help of someone expert in tracking down rare CDs on the Internet like my friend Rick.
