Hey Dan, I understand that your channel is a lot larger than mine, so you will attract more "unwanted activity" for these giveaways as I would do, but on my giveaway videos, there are a couple of things I do.. A) do not mention the giveaway in either the title, description or thumbnail. B) save the giveaway footage till the last 3rd of your video. This does 2 things: It stops the scammers from searching UA-cam for new videos that have the words "prize; giveaway; raffle, etc, but also makes sure that it's your true followers that get to see that content (as they will watch the video till the end, and watch the giveaway segment). So far I haven't had any issues with my giveaways using those ideas above. All the best mate, and keep doing what you're doing. All the best. James 👍

A quick thought regards scammers would be to advise of the date you’ll be announcing the winner and putting it in the giveaway video title/description so any one receiving any links will know it’s definitely a fake. Such a shame you have to deal with such things but please don’t let it discourage you from continuing the giveaways! All the best
Dan have you considered doing a raffle? Scammers won't pay for a raffle ticket for the gear and it's all run separate from the channel. You could donate the proceeds to a worthwhile charity maybe? Don't know what the costs to you may be. I'd imagine maybe a few that would come off the proceeds before you got them? Worth considering. Messner does them regularly.

Hi Dan, any regular watcher of your channel will be well aware of issues experienced in the past when you offer a give away, and will have the good sense to not take any notice of scam messages. You just need to do give aways over several videos reinforcing the transparency of that you will only ever give out the winner in a video before you contact them, and on any social media there will be scammers no different to as long as people are on the planet there will be thieves
all i will say is stop adressing it, mention the giveaway tell them how to enter do the giveaway and if the gullible people message ignore them, doesnt matter how many time u mention this but its always gonna happen. scammers will scam, but it wont be your problem. :)

Weirdly I've seen it on other channels mentioning bicycles. I've been told myself I'm a winner of a bike on another channel. Scammers are everywhere. Most channels just put up a comment to ignore them. You've done more than enough now to warn people.

These scammers are obvious to some of us ,and even if you had a separate channel for giving away you're still going to get scammers
