I love this video. And a practice Journal is genius. I journal everything else why not my practice? I practice so many different things in a session this is a great idea.
Congrats 🎉🎉🎉well done Susan, this is what a lot of people need to hear (even myself being a life long learner) The key element is mindset , keep up the amazing work kind regards Mr Robinson....
I still haven't finished the self learning piano series yet, wondering when I will be good enough to watch all of the other ones! Thanks for putting so much effort into these videos!!
Journaling has really helped me prioritize splitting up realistic goals when I'm trying to split up my learning over multiple different instruments 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Yeah, I've found it really helps if you can't get to your instrument (or the same instrument) on consecutive days to keep track of what you need to work on in your the next session.
@PianoRoadmap it definitely does, I'm reviewing my knowledge in Treble, Alto, and Bass clef separately. I'm trying to get back to the point where I can just look at the ledger lines and know the note without thought. I recently bought the Hanon practice book (which is really useful across the board, 10/10 would recommend for any musician)
Just logged into my PR and saw the beginning Intermediate pieces and the Journal PDFs- thank you Susan! Interestingly, I started getting serious about Journaling as a matter of course a few months back when I decided to get back into collecting Fountain Pens… ( yes, it’s a thing😌)! So it appears the stars are aligning and you Be given me another opportunity to Journal on something worthwhile… again thank you!
Collecting Fountain Pens, eh? I love collecting color pens of all kinds...maybe I'll look into fountain pens next! Hope you enjoy the journaling process!
@@PianoRoadmap Found it Susan! Thanks for all you do to keep the lessons up to date. I was away from practicing for a few months but am back at it again. Hoping to make solid progress over the winter months. I also ordered Faber Book 2 even though I have a ways to go with Book 1 😪... All the best to you! And even an🍎... Michael

Pacific Northwest….beautiful part of the country. Used to live in both Washington and Oregon….east of Cascades. Miss the scenery and weather.
Did it have anything to do with playing piano? lol.

Interesting idea, Susan! I might have missed the details, but where may current members download the PDF? ... Michael
Hi Michael! It’s in your library where the other courses are, the 1st page when you log in (you may have to scroll down).

@@mdw131 Aw shucks, an 🍎?? 😃Thank you!
So rest days are OK?
Yes! If I have something important coming up, then no, I won't take any days off, but generally speaking, I do take breaks.
@PianoRoadmap thank you for letting me know
