If you cannot get a mold, buy a cheapie soccer/football, it has to be reasonably firm, cut out a hole around the valve about 4-5 cms in diameter, mix up your concrete, and feed into the ball with a large spoon, slightly over fill at the opening. I usually wait a week or two before cutting the ball with a knife, I always spray with water daily for one month to let make sure the concrete is cured completely...
My first question was just like everyone else, where did you find the mold, second is what is the weight of your finished stone/ball and have you figured out if you can make it hallow to lessen the weight? I was wondering if a smaller inflated ball could be placed inside the mold after it was filled with cement in the bottom displacing the cement then continue filling to the top with cement? Do you think it would require any reinforcement or would it be fine without it? You did a wonderful job and I really appreciate you sharing this idea!! Thank You!
This is my Fourth video, all by different authors , on this subject. It proves to me there is definitely an art to instructing. A mold..!!!!!!!. what kind...what is it made of? Where can one obtain one. Concrete!!!!!! What kind ? Is one better than another for this application?? Geesh. Onto #5.
To make the initial ball, any concrete from almost anywhere would do; a good example is the typical 80 pound sack found in a home improvement store. Just make sure that while you are pouring it in the mold, get the the air bubbles out. One way to do this is with a short stick, maybe about the thickness of a brroom handle or smaller; simply insert into top hole and use and up and down motion. These molds actually have a hole in the top large enough for your hand to get through, so after each cup of concrete dumped in, reach in there and kneed the mix and make sure it goes out to the edges.....do this all the way up to your last pour...
Where exactly on the site is that mold? Went to site as you indicated with the other viewer, but could not find. Large site w many items. Under what category please be more exact.
I am looking for a stone mold for training, I will make a cement ball myself between 45-60kg, I can buy it with payment at the door because I do not have a credit card.

Very nice; to fill in the air bubble holes and make a smoother texture, what type of cement/concrete mix would you recommend to finish the ball?
