I was actually born American in Arizona in the 70s but i grew up between the US where my parents worked for a while and Europe (The UK, Iceland and Switzerland) , and every time i would go back and forth the culture shock was huge . I felt stupid in Europe and awkward in the US , so by the time i was 16 i had officially and legally given up my American citizenship and took my parents' (British and Icelandic) , and never lived in the US again after that .
