How to adjust your HyperX Alpha headphone sound level if it sounds too low! Do this:
From the PS4 Home screen go to Settings, Devices, Audio Devices, Volume control for headphones. Crank it all the way up!

under the warranty before it ends like what happened to me!

The reason why the mic doesn’t work with your beats is because it’s not a Sony product. Only Sony products like the 1000 XM3s or the Extra Bass will have mic’s that work. Also, why beats man? Their sound is standard at best.

Be sure to go under options in fortnite to turn up the volume all the way up. It works great. I'm using hyperx alphas. I thought something was wrong with sound but I can hear shotguns just fine and loud.

If ur playing on xbox just go to the settings on the main hub and if ur on ps4 u can adjust the chat mixer

So they are not too quiet for the PS4? I know HyperX just came out with a collab kind of with a headset to make the game louder as the Dual Shock 4 has some problems powering the other HyperX headsets like these. Anyways thanks for the review I will most likely be getting these or another HyperX headset.👍
TheAnswer These work great with the Dual Shock. No prob powering it. Check out my other video on how to fix the sound. I talk more about settings and how to adjust mic levels, sound levels...Can be as low or as loud as you want them! It’s been great for me so far! Peace! ✌️

If it does not work you have to connect the wired part to the usb part and connect it to the charging place of the ps4
For anyone having chat problems on the cloud head set the cord hooked to your controller to headphones make sure I push hard on the cord on head set it looks all the way plugged in but it’s not lol seen a lot of people having this problem I’m one lol

Why does the sound come in low full volume on ps4 and booming loud on xbox one?
It depends on the impendence rate of the resistance in the controller. The controller requires a resistance of 60ohms, but the dual shock offers an impendence of 28 ohms

The reason the beats mic doesn’t work on console is because the mic and ground pins are reversed on beats
The reason why beats don’t work is because ps4 set a patch that doesn’t allow them to work with the system
I use astro mixamp tr with it and it does wonders. The controller sucks.
Just got a set and I plugged it in quick to try em out before work. Never used a headset that plugged in a controller before. Anyways first thing I noticed was the sound is like half as loud as previous headset at full volume! Hoping I can adjust the sound level in settings on ps4 or I'm gonna be pissed tbh. Another 100 bucks on a mixamp because it sucks on it's own. Hoping that's not the case I will find out later tonight I guess if I am forced to spend more money

Back to your question: you connect the Cloud Alpha's with the 3.5mm jack into the controller. The Playstation 4 does not support surround sound on headsets when used on the console through the 3.5mm jack or via USB straight into the console.
However, some headsets use the optical port on the back of the PS4 to get surround sound.
Some examples are:
Astro A50
Astro A40 TR (with mixamp)
Turtle Beach Stealth 700
Razer Thresher 7.1 PS4
Razer Thresher Ultimate (the same as the Thresher 7.1, but the Thresher Ultimate comes with a headset stand and a small device that expands the range of the wireless capability of the headset.

Nope you can't, I tried doing that when the headphone jack broke, you'll just have to buy one because the jack that goes into the actual headset is different than conventional ones.

I’m convinced the problem with the controller isn’t just the power. Ive tried these, 32ohm headsets and also my 16ohm phillips fidelio L2 which you’d think would be louder but nope. I’m almost positive sony has a volume cap out of the controller so little kids don’t hurt their ears. The way sony handles audio is so terrible. There is no excuse to not be able to get decent volume with these or any other headphones through the controller.
So if I buy this headset for ps4 what can I do so that this headset whould be good for FPS games?
You would have to get the usb dongle that hyperx x sells for 30 more dollars and run a cord to your playstation

I have a problem with mine. I think I needed an adapter, so I bought a 3.55 mm jack and it's still not working. The quality of the sound is poor (with the adapter) and the mic STILL does not work. I use the extension cord and I'm not sure which adapter to use. Any suggestions?

Check out all of my hyperx headset vids before buying. I haven’t had any low sound issues, but others are and I’m thinking they’re not plugging it in right, and not adjusting the settings. Check out my settings video on my PS4 Pro. So with all that, I’ve had no issues and it sounds great for me...I can hear foot steps really well, and I can adjust the sound to be super loud. btw, I’ve given it away cuz I bought the Astro A40 TR headset. But the HyperX is still one of my fav headsets 👍👊
I'll check your other hyperx vids out. But the thing I want to know is how good is the headset without the amp? I have the steelseries arctis 7. But I'm not really liking them just because you have to charge them every time the battery dies. It's kind of a pain. That's why I'm looking into the hyperx cloud. I want a headset that I could just plug into my controller without having any issues of a battery dying while I play for a long period of time
