In this universe post WW2, they advanced nuclear tech but didn't create transistors, so tech never got smaller like ours did. And culturally they got stuck, also oil and other resources became so scarce that there were wars over them. The biggest between US and China... the Great War lasted two hours...two hours of unending nuclear weapons being deployed by each country and that resulted in the wasteland. Before it happened, a company called Vault-tec created these underground shelters all over the country... but well. There's a dark twist you'll learn later. Have fun!
@@ChannelSee1 I'm on episode 4 and I'm loving it. Unfortunately, work has prevented me from watching the rest. But as a fan of the games, I think this is one of the most faithful adaptations I've seen of a videogame before in my life.
@@ChannelSee1 The thing about nuclear war is that it's a giant punctuation mark, a permanent hardworn fullstop into the books of history. In the Fallout universe, WW3 started with the Resource Wars, with nations fighting over basic water, food, and energy sources, and *ended* with the "Great War", the final nuclear conflagration - everyone dies ... or nearly everyone. Even in our own real world, back in the 90s, the USA and Russia finally negotiated to *reduce* their nuclear stockpiles to only 6,000 warheads each. This doesn't even count all the other countries that have nukes. And these days, we're heading headlong and jet-packed into the Resource Wars. Good news for us, if climate change doesn't accelerate it too much, is that Fallout's prediction of nuclear war isn't until 2077. So we might have some time to chill ... with conventional warfare.
When it comes to the personal bunker at that guys home being to small this is actually a real thing, when bunkers like those are made they are generally made only to support a set number of people for a certain time, in the case of this guy the bunker would be set up for himself his wife and his child and would have food and water for lets say 6 months but at in an extra adult and child that 6 months could easily become 4 months
It's what folks in the 50s/60s thought "The Future" would look like. They could imagine butler-robots and nuclear-powered cars, but not many would've thought of smartphones or flatscreen TVs.
Ey you gotta understand, they're in a vault so they'll eventually all become cousins. There's not much to go around when there's around 30 of you or so, though the population count depends on the vaults (size, structure and resources wise). Still fcked up though lmao!
That’s the thing about a nuclear strike, it’s not just one warhead per city. For example in Washington DC the White House, Congress, Pentagon, and airport and military bases around the city would all get their own warhead. If you want to see the targets look up the FEMA Nuke map for your state and it’ll show you a target list, it’s what the Soviet a union would have targeted so a little dated but still useful. Basically and areas with heavy factories, virtually all commercial airports and all shipping ports on top of government facilities, communications centers, military bases and power plants would be hit.
Yeah, they aren't just trying to level cities, that's just a side effect. Nuclear warfare is essentially like a beefed up version of WW2 strategic bombing with the added targets of also trying to reduce the enemies own nuclear capabilities. They're trying to destroy the industrial and military facilities like airbases, silos, dams, power plants and factories in a way they cant be repaired. Residential areas aren't really worth a warhead, but the problem is people tend to live near factories, army bases and important government facilities.
Although I'm late to this reaction cousins messing around is not incest, that is strictly between siblings, parents and kids and grandparents. 3rd cousins and higher are not genetically an issue. In fact some cultures only marry their cousins. A large portion of icelands people are cousins.
Guys you will love the soundtrack ! It's crazy how good that stuff works with action. I love the franchis for the deep alternativ history lore and how you can tell every story and Genre in this univers but the soundtrack. Its just perfect
@@ChannelSee1 I play God of War, Assassin's Creed, Bioshock series. I am playing Atomic Heart and will soon play Disco Elysium. I like some indie games like Cloupunk etc.
@@ChannelSee1As a southern white person, I've never said that, I've never felt that way or thought that way. I'm sure there are ass holes who do feel and think that way (because there are ass holes everywhere), but not every white southerner does. That being said, I enjoyed the reaction ❤️
Wow, why tf would you give a massive spoiler for Yellowjackets less than 40 seconds into your reaction to Fallout? That sucks and I won't be watching your channel.
Guys, do you have to make fun of every science fiction or apocalyptic movie you watch? it was same in dune too. I dont see two intellectual men. More like lets get make nonsense comments
Thank you for your feedback. That’s just our personalities however we will consider making less jokes in future videos. Keep in mind that we watch things pretty far in advance so you may not notice a difference until way later down the line. 👍🏽 - Demica
“He looks like a normal person!?” I was like Raider lookin ass with that hunch 😂
LMFAO
and that greasy ass hair 🤣he's cute though
Shoutout to the little girl who played "Janie". Great acting from someone so young!

"Take the machete"
"But you're not supposed to pull it out, remember"
Okay, that one killed me, lol
The Ghoul leaving the chicken behind was symbolic. It's a showing of his power. He isn't governed by his nature like the other's.
"Take that, that's a machete" "No because you're not supposed to pull it out, remember?" I'm dead💀
7:14 that’s called “Retro Futuristic.” I love it. Mixing of Atomic Age and modern design.

Maximus is pretty dope. Take a while for him to start cooking though
Have you watched the whole season already?
Just 3 episodes so far. I wasn't feeling him on first episode either.
lol Okok bet
I find it cool that this show was directed by Johnathan Nolan, brother to Christopher Nolan who directed Oppenheimer.
People been calling Aaron Moten, "Cuba Gooding Majors", lol. :D
I liked the first episode. I liked how weird and different it was. Lucy is quite sexy, Maximus seems like a snake and the Ghoul is cool, so far.
The beginning takea place in 2077. So its 53 years in the future when the bombs fell then another 219 years later for the rest of the show.
2077 When the nukes are dropped in Fallout.

0:13, 1:51 The guy from the beginning here voices Cecil in Invincible btw.
That’s crazy. We love Invincible.
It also need to be stated that Fallout nukes are lot different than ours. They are more focused on Radioactivity then sheer explosive power.

Hopefully by the time I get around to watching Yellowjackets I forget that spiler.
Okay you made that j cole comment a month ago... given the last week with drake... j cole is smart as fuck.
Yea no we agree. lmao.
" them or her " mean you chose Vault-tec or your daughter. " Them " mean Vault-Tec not the people in the Vault
As a mixed person I'm confused at why you're upset they mixed race
Not actually mad. Just making a joke lol. “That ain’t right” is something southern white ppl say a lot

What happened to game of thrones?
This weekend.
What can i say... *God bless the Enclave, God Bless America*
PREACH!(what’s the enclave?)
@@ChannelSee1 Itsss a long story, you will see.. lets just say they are more powerfull than Brotherhood of Steel

Yellow jackets came out 3 years ago. I presumed everyone who wanted to see it would’ve watched it by now.
That was 3 years ago dawg, your fault for not seeing it sooner
After a year... it's your own fault for not watching that shit.
