please learn how to use an audio compressor when there is a person far from the mic and close to the mic so you don't have to forget to manual keyframe volume ever again they are built right into your NLE even if its imovie 07’, in a better NLE you can even do it to whole tracks by just clicking that little arrow in the Chanel mixer window! It even lets you route submixes of multiple tracks to apply effects to as a group before going to the master channel for even more audio effect possibilities!

also for height anxiety close one eye it kills your depth perception, then you can just imagine its a matte painting cuz with distance there isnt a lot of paralax if you dont move much or fast, and switch eyes often and quick if it gets worse

Fun fact: my high school is 5-10 minutes from Gatorland. We recently had a yellow lockdown because a gator had escaped Gatorland, got on to the freeway, walked THROUGH traffic, and into our school. We were stuck an extra half an hour in our classes because a gator was running up and down the halls (the school is mostly outside; we don’t have a main building, just an arts building and then a series of classrooms along the courtyard) and they had people on campus running around trying to catch it. Dumbest panic attack I’ve had in my life.

LMAO I think I used to go to the same school and we never had a gator show up in my time there but those bigass sandhill cranes posted up outside the orchestra room once and basically barricaded me inside for a good 15 minutes or so after school. Like I’m sure I would’ve been fine they’d probably have just ran away but I was worried I’d spook them at best and that they’d get pissed and peck my eyes out at worst lmaooooo

just before it changed hands and became Dezerland, that building was home to the Artegon Mall, a really quaint little "mall" that wasn't really a mall so much as it was a kitschy crafts and nerd fair where you could get handmade goods, niche foods, and really expensive rare anime/comics collectables. i really miss the Artegon, it was such a treat getting to see everything unique that the people with stalls there brought to the table.

honestly I got super interested in gatorland seeing how they've spun it from "we breed gators here" to "we help rescue gators that wouldn't survive in the wild" and offering cool little things like feeding the gators and the "wrestling" photo ops. and for quite a bargain compared to sea world, and probably far more ethical.

There was one time we went to Disney and our hotel was close to the wizard giftshop. My dad couldn't get the whole week off for the trip, so he drove up to meet us later (we lived in south Florida). Since it was back before EVERYONE had a smartphone and we sure as shit didn't, my mom gave him directions to get there, using the wizard gift shop as a landmark. He drove up and down the road past the wizard so many times then called my mom and kept going back and forth while she then went out in the other car to try and, like, find him and guide him back, but they didn't see each other.
And that's how we learned there are two wizards.

We left the Disney/Universal bubbles to have a "special dinner" there and we all wore eye patches and bandanas. I was seated in the red pirate's section. Worked at dinosaur world for two years! All the dinosaurs are handsculpted in the early 80s by the orginal owner. Its a decades old family business about 24 years old. The gems and fossils are real and yes the put put is for kids and even the kids loose interest. The bridge is actually the orginal entrance to the park , the front past the bridge used to be orange groves. Tons of cats all over , i ended up adopting one. And yes the museum is either super cool or super creepy depending on if you know what your in for.

Fun fact: at the same exit as Dinosaur World, if you go down the road that runs between the two gas stations you'll find Keel and Curley Farms, which is a fantastic winery. They make their own wine and cider from fruit they grow on the farm. In the spring they do berry picking (strawberries, blueberries) and I think they do peach picking too. And they have a great little restaurant where everything they serve on their menu is either grown on their farm or locally sourced. I recommend their pina colada wine slush. Not a tourist trap but a great place to visit!

This reminds me of a different winery called Lakeridge Winery & Vineyards that I drove past on Highway 27 on my way to Orlando from Oklahoma, where one of the strangest coincidences I've ever experienced happened. I swear that at the exact moment I was driving past that place, an ad for it was playing on the radio in my car. That was the ONLY time I ever drove by that place and the ONLY time I ever heard an ad for it on the radio. This happened in May 2021. It was late at night and they were closed, so I couldn't have stopped there even if I wanted to (I hate wine, so I wouldn't have, anyway).

Hey, I know I'm just a random stranger on the internet, but I wanted to thank you, Billiam. I grew up in Kissimmee. I actually went to the High School right next to Gatorland. My brother was a worker at the gift shop in that same Medieval Times you went too. I used to go to Old Town all the time. I wonder if that shop that sells crystals and stuff is still open. And the Giant Wizards actually used to terrify me as a kid for some reason. Most of all, I loved going to Disney Springs to check out the Lego store there. I moved up north years ago, and haven't been back since. Watching this video gave me such nostalgia from my childhood. I actually watched it a few hours after it came out, on one of the roughest nights I had in a while. I can't tell you how much I needed that. This might sound silly, but your video reminded me of the simple joys in life, and I'm grateful for it. So thank you.
Sincerely, A Random Stranger on UA-cam.

Billiam, I cannot stress you enough - how me and my brother went to medieval times as kids 20 years ago.. I sent him the a like time stamped before you got to that part of the video and watched it together anticipating a good laugh about the place still being there.
Then you mentioned the potato...we have had a joke between ourselves about the medieval potato that we reference frequently to this day.
When me and my brother were tossed that crumpled piece of tinfoil , one of hundreds from a bin she carried onto our tray and asked "What's that?" - the cold dead 5 mile stare of our waitress who has seen too much war for her someone her age, in the most deadpan of voices telling me "It's a medieval potato." And floating away like a poltergeist - will never not be one of the funniest things I've ever seen in my life.
I often wonder how she's doing. Miss, if your out there, or any former serfs of that establishment, I hope you found peace and happiness.
It's like all my life and memories were lived up til now just for that moment of your video. Amazing.

    Hiya, Paleo-nerd here.
If I'm not mistaken, that "fupa" would represent the "ischium" part of the pelvic bone. The prong-like structure of a Saurischian ("lizard hipped") dinosaur's pelvic bones are often separated into 3 distinct regions; the illium (the big anvil-shaped part on top), the pubis (the "prong" facing down) and last the "ischium" (the "prong" facing back). These would be seen in theropod and sauropods respectively. Granted, that "bulge" would certainly not be as exaggeratedly "bulging" in an accurately portrayed theropod dinosaur. Older paleo-art of dinosaurs often shrink wrapped their dinosaur subjects and as a result you tend to see certain bones bulge out of their subjects and otherwise looking very emancipated. Ornithischian ("bird hipped") dinosaurs have a similar hip plan, but was a bit different; which you'd see in hadrosaurs, stegosaurs, ceratopsians, pachycephalosaurs, etc.
Also I love your videos! Keep up the great work!

As a native of Pinellas County, I've been a regular at the Kissimmee/Orlando tourist traps since Disney World opened. My family were one of the first visitors to DW in 1971. My husband and I were regular attendees at Medieval Times and Sleuth Mystery Dinner Theater starting in 1997. The last time we were there was 2017. We went to every dinner show attraction except the Dolly Parton and Arabian Knights ones. With the exception of Medieval Times, the food in every single one was unpalatable! ESPECIALLY Pirate's Dinner Adventure! You seriously dodged a bullet with that one! And the food you got at Medieval Times was nothing like what they used to serve. It used to be a little different and really good! We hadn't been there for about 10 years prior to going again in 2017 and it was a shell of the attraction it had been. We decided we would not ever return after that. You actually missed out on the Kissimmee heyday. Did you even get to go to Ripley's Believe it or Not? Or is it gone? So many things are gone, even before covid hit. Like the Rainforest Café in Downtown Disney (also gone). So sad to see it all disappear. [And it's pronounced: kiss-I-me (short vowel "i", accent on the middle syllable)].

She was so scared that she wouldn’t sit all the way down on the gator, she’d just barely hover over it, but the guy running the show wouldn’t let her leave until she sat on it. She was flipping out but he literally wouldn’t let her walk away. Everyone in line was cheering her on (mostly cause she was holding up the line I’m sure) and finally, she taps the gator just barely. Everyone cheers, I kid you not, and we are finally allowed to leave. 10/10, would love to go again
