Got this exhaust since new in 07. Love this bike and the sound.
@@jeffreykweller8825 That’s amazing, great choice 😎👍🏻. Any other mods, and how many miles now?
I'm just thoroughly impressed that you're doing everything with the helmet on
hi, nice video! I wanted to ask you a question: is it possible to change only the exhaust pipes? or do we necessarily have to change the entire exhaust?
I think Cobra makes slip-ons, so that’s always an option 👍🏻
Question: Is it better to torque the head exhaust bolts first, then tighten frame exhaust bracket bolts second? I noticed you did the bracket bolts first. Just curious what instructions state?
This was how they laid it out in the instructions, so far far no problems 👍🏻
Great work
Thanks, I appreciate your feedback 😎👍🏻
Will floorboards and forward controls work with new exhaust?
I don’t know, that’s a good question 🧐
Sounds great! I have the same bike and the exhaust sound is a shame... where can I buy that cobra? Nice vid
Hey Enrique, try easternperformance dot com, they may still have one in stock
Will that fit the 1300c? Also, will it change my fuel-air mixture?
This bike is a 2007 1300C, it fits great 😎👍🏻. If you’re using the stock air box, you probably won’t need to re-jet your carb, but you should keep an eye on your spark plugs color so you know if you need to.
Did you have to? @@vtxfan
@@connershort707 not so far, I’m using the stock air box, and spark plugs look normal, but I will be checking periodically
@vtxfan If you could let me know if that changes. I won't be getting the system for a hot minute
@@connershort707 will do 🫡
I took my baffles out and wrapped them with muffler insulation. Now they sound alot better and don't have the nasty tinny blatty sound anymore.
Yes, I started it up with the baffles out and it was stupid loud. I hate people who run it like that. Just annoyingly loud and obnoxious.
I’m thinking about doing the same thing. I think it would still sound great while taking the edge off. What’s it like getting those baffles out and back in?
@@vtxfan It was fairly easy getting the baffles out. I wrapped them with a little too much and had a bitch of a time trying to shove them back in, but I managed to by twisting them back and forth, then lined the holes for the bolts and got'r done! They do sound better. It's been a couple years now and I may pull them out and see how it's lasting or if it burns out or not.
Nice Video, Liked and subscribed ✌
except for the screaming stuff you added, that was unnecessary
😂
@@vtxfan Castle nuts or for using cotter pins. ACORN nuts bottom out...
I have heard that, have been lucky so far they haven’t bottomed out, probably because I replaced the exhaust gaskets, no leaks in 8,000miles, but if they do I will put some washers under the nuts, and would recommend that as well. 👍🏻
Have you taken the baffles out yet?
I have not taken the baffles out yet. I might experiment with them soon 👍🏻
never use those castle nuts with after market pipes they bottom out
That is true, I have heard that. I seem to be fortunate so far, (the fresh gaskets help) but if they do bottom out when I re-tighten everything up, I will use a washer or two, to make up the difference 👍🏻
free performance 2 in 1 sounds better, but $1099
💰💰😎👍🏻
Are you filming 🎥 this with your helmet 🪖 ON ??..😅.GOOF BALL.
