Nope.
@@Aramis_Production Name another watch from a diff company that has such history and some proper real credits.
@@hellrzr45 Well, are you serious? Speedmaster is a mid tier piece of crap, known for being so unreliable, nothing but "the Moon" PR. Omega watches are made for morons not affording a real watch. Omega even bought themselves into BOND franchise. Nobody with taste is wearing an Omega, sorry pal.
@@Aramis_Production Dude wtf are you on about I have bought 4 Speedies so far, they are the best things ever. I bought a Seamaster for my bro who wears it every day, a Submariner for my cousin which is good but not that great. Come back when you can actually afford to buy a real watch.
Problem you dont need a watch and in that case you might buy a watch you can easily see and hold its value, thats why you should just buy a rolex
I bought a Remington electric watch from Walmart for thirty bucks and it kept perfect time for three years....you can use a solid gold door stop or a rock...but it's still just a door stop.
"Where have you bought this cute daytona with 2 subdials only? Oh, it is not Rollo?" Bell & Ross Aviation Chrono black enamel dial.
I wear a Breitling Colt Ocean bought around 2000. Keeps perfect time, can't remember a time when I had to adjust it, battery life 8+years, dives to 500m, that's the watch, not me. I've stopped diving. Greenpeace keeps throwing me back in
I never thought a Christopher Ward watch would get featured! I honestly thought their watches were mediocre (even though I was gifted one for my bday), although aesthetically it's one of my favourites, the C1 moonphase (2018-19 I believe)
I think grand seiko is actually better than Rolex. And you see less of them out in the wild (they make 1/10th the watches every year. Maybe less). So they are more rare and actually made by hand. Better dial, better finishing. Better watch
The Bel Canto looking good
GS is Topnotch for the Money...My opinion, no watch should cost this much...But for some reason 🤔 I still pay.
What about resale value?
How about a classic square Gshock........With Solar and atomic..........classier and better performing than a Rolex. Image wise a lot cooler too :)
Would have loved to bought one, unfortunately the time detail readout is very unclear. I am so annoyed at this.
A beautiful watch in the making..
I would certainly put Longines and Ball to the task.
Hello are Invicta Automatics watches good value for the budget brands.
Rolex sucks. Always the same designs year after year, for that reason I have only one in my collection and is the blaken because is different to the others Rolex that always are the same.
Will you be doing a video about the Christopher Ward Bel Canto?
He's made a few videos on it, u can look through the video library
I know this is a little off point but l got a Bulova Accutron when I graduated high school in 1971 and I have NEVER had that kind of interest in anything I have ever owned. It quit working years ago. I wish I knew where to fix it but no one knows
Grand Seiko does everything exceptionally except for their font choices. They would sell more if they did a better job in that aspect. It seems to be the one intangible that keeps their sales from reaching the stratosphere.
Totally agree. I live the snow flake but the font looks like a 1980’s themed German restaurant….
@@andrewjackson8089 Thank you, I was trying to figure out where I had seen that font before. Like the place in Fast Times at Ridgemont High.
i would love to have an omega or a seiko, don't really care for rolex unless i was selling one or trading it for a car, what i really want is a red dial and bezel casio mdv-106
The GS especially is class. But Rolex is still 👑 It’s why you had to mention them in this vid rather than praising the pieces on their own merits! 😉 ps. Not everyone has a Rolex btw.
When I joined the National Guard in 1985, the Rolex Submariner was sold in the military PX for $1500... Now in 2023 they are over 10k....
You should take a look at Jaeger and Benzinger. Excellent watches.
The problem with all these “better than Rolex” comparisons is that a big part of the Reason you want a Rolex is it’s a Rolex. Decades of relentless marketing by some of the best marketers not for nothing.
exactly, very few people buy a Rolex because it has a good hairspring or something. Many of our decisions and purchases are more emotional than rational, we buy stuff on how we believe it will make us feel, not on specs
@@toobalkain I bought a rolex to shove in my friends face. He since bought 2. Haha
COPE
A big part of the reason people want a Rolex is because Rolex has convinced them they want a Rolex.
@@Strideo1 100% It's nothing more than a status symbol. I'm good without thanks and will wear my Lange with pride and the knowledge its a better watch than anything Rolex mass produces.
