You have butchers and arborists. My father in-law was a true arborist and he would lose his mind seeing butcher work. I loved watching him surgically fix neglected trees with pole and hand saws. Great show as always, thanks Buckin.

I’m respectful of your perspective Buckin! , sharing your knowledge and experience. I’m an Arborist and a perfectionist at my job after 30 years. I like watch you and Arborist BlairGlen’s channel as well, because he brings up this topic and also includes the people that own the trees about proper care of trees in the urban areas. Merry Christmas to all and Happy New Year! 🙏❤️👍

My mother's dad helped Claude Poulan start the Poulan Saw Co. of Shreveport , La in 1949 . Buckin, you ARE the school. Your school is not just knowledge but also principles, character and values. I am applying learnings and attitude from the School of Buckin in my volunteer sawyer opportunities for, with and through organizations that are doing amazing things in their own way. It is awesome to think that in some small way I can be a Buckin force multiplier to those I get to work beside. I just spent 2 days in the mountains helping on a forest thinning fire mitigation project, was able to apply so many things you have shared here and as a result those two days were much more fulfilling and pleasureable. Thank you! WH, BH & BK.

So listen I'm a printer by trade but recently retired, I had my own small print shop so know and understand the difficulties of running a small business.
I had this theory that you have to put back what you take out, so although it was hard every two years I would take on an apprentice, it was a great joy to me that I was fortunate enough to do this, I had a lifetime of knowledge that I was able to pass on.
I don't know your position and trust me your putting back plenty, but maybe you could guide a youngster to a brighter future too..

I have some really nice white pines by my house and some glorious white oaks but there getting to the point of needing help. Most all tree services around where I live are straight hacks. Do you have some trusted resources to maybe read up with. I was going to start by getting a climbing belt probably a weaver. I have done some tree climbing using ascenders and rock climbing so I know a little bit about that gear and would be comfortable rigging in a tree if need be.

And what is hard for me and my wife who own our own tree service, is when we explain proper pruning to customers and they still demand a topping so we pass on the job and they go to the next tree service that will top without blinking a eye. It is hard to find tree services around here that prune correctly. And that makes it harder on us because everyone thinks that there tree needs to be topped.

I would never want my name on that work…

The church in my neighborhood had one of their trees trimmed a while ago. I'm sure the tree guy meant well and probably walked away thinking he did a good job.
But he left 3 inch stumps all over the tree, and I find it hard to look at the poor thing now 😞
Thank you for this. I hope this video reaches a lot of arborists and makes them more aware of proper tree care 🌲🌳🍀✊🏻
