You forgot about the part where he just cropped a portion of the ISS image and zoomed in because reasons. Doesn't know the cameras or lenses used in either picture and modifies the ISS photo to match his 'pruf'. Amazing.
I like that he is inadvertently saying that the videos must be real. If he thinks the curvature is the same because Earth is flat, then that means in his mind we must be looking at the real horizon. If he now claims the videos are fake, then what would the horizons even have to do with it? He's gotten himself stuck with that one.
Good catch
Flerfers don't see coherence as a thing. For them it is all about making nonsense up as they go along, assuming everybody else would do the same, as this is the ceiling of their intellect.
LEO is one of the most laughably inept flat earthers out there, and that's saying something!
He recently put out a video where he got upset because the British government announced a test of the emergency notification system where people where meant to get a message to make sure the system works in case of, you know.. an emergency. According to him that's controlling the masses and fearmongering. I wonder, has he ever been on a fire drill
The more stupid his claims, the more attention he gets
Can’t believe people are still on the flat earth topic. Soon enough they will be able to crowdfund a ticket into space and see the curvature themselves.
Send me instead, it'd be such a waste sending a flerf to space since they'd just say the windows are television screens
The "leaders" are con artists who know it is a sphere and are lying for cash. The guy featured in this video is one of those liars. There are some that are just stupid enough to believe it but they aren't the ones making videos.
They still wouldn't believe the earth is round.
@@MorrisonProductions The ones making videos know already. They are con artists. They are lying for cash.
@@markshort9098 I was just gonna say they would claim it was some trickery with the windows
LEO never fails to amuse. There's no beginning to things he understands. It must be such an odd existence too, dedicating your life to watching any and all space footage so you can find a few frames of compression artifacts in hours of video or, like this fine example, just outright lie about what is on the screen.
And every other word is "demonstrably" or "pantomime" and accuse the women of using hairspray to keep their hair up all the while ignoring the few strands that are just waving around the top of their heads
Adam is pathetic.
"I don't... entirely know... exactly what's going on..."
It's not just that the panels are straight. It's also that the horizon is below the horizontal center of the image and in a wide angle lens would be curving up, not down, if it were flat.
But this is level Earth Observer, which means he'll dismiss it out of hand as "a pantomime" or CGI.
I know you meant, C.G.EYE...
Don't forget charade.
So is there stars in space
@@Tre-q9u "Are there .. stars?? in .. space???"
You're going to have to have a really good reason that what you see are *NOT* stars in space when you can see the damn things every night.
@@RustyWalker so y NASA live feed of the globe doesn't have stars then
im legally blind but those curves are not "exactly the same".
You know I was about to question but then I remembered
Let's be honest, if the curves were different that'd be proof of a flat earth for these guys too
L.E.O., the guy who made this video (Level Earth Observer) makes a lot of content where he looks at footage, says fake and his 'evidence' are glitches and flaws. If he finds something that is without those, it's too perfect. He even propagates the old nonsense about astronauts from Apiollo missions looking not happy enough in press conferences.
He, btw, is a crane operator. Somebody entrusts this man with heavy machinery.
@@timolynch149 his employeer should be warned about that, its dangerous and just waiting for smth to happen. He might get mad from a Flerf discussion and then moves a heavy crane.
@@timolynch149 Flerfs are happy to trust people without the proper education in topics such as Astronomy and Geophysics
@@reanimationeas342 They'll probably come up with some stupid mantra like, "Proper education is indoctrination."

I'll give LEO an A for effort and a F for honesty.
I'm surprised he didn't claim that the ISS was suspended on cables.
Make that an E for effort. An F for honesty is still to generous.
It isn't??

@@Kualinar I'll revise my grading. An A for science fiction. And F for factual statement. And a Z for honesty
@@gryph01 Oooh, where do I get some?
All circles can be perfectly overlapped if zoomed in or out enough.
I learned that in mid school.
Every single 2D or 3D object that has all angles and sides equal to each other are equivalent to different sized objects that share the same name.
For example, all squares are equivalent to eachother. Same for all cubes, spheres, circles, equilateral triangles, dodecahedrons, whatever.
Zooming in on a picture of earth to make it match on itself just proves that you're looking at a sphere.
You can make a golf ball curvature match the curvature of a basketball, pool ball, moon, and earth. Assuming they're all perfect circles.
Thank you for teaching me something new
One of the KEY factors in all these 'curvature video/photos' is the field of view. Cameras can have many different lenses with different focal lengths. One with a large focal length will have a narrow field of view (FOV). Thus, it will only cover a few degrees from side to side, while a short focal length can give an FOV wider than the human eye (human eye typical FOV is about 130 degrees (each eye).
So depending on the FOV of the device (camera-lens combination or human eyeball) you might see as little as only 10 degrees across the frame to more than 100. This means the amount of the earth you can see in one frame depends not only on the altitude but the FOV. This affects how much of the 'curvature' you get in a frame (assuming no barrel distortion at all).
Comparing the ISS video with the James May U2 video without knowing the details of the cameras is pretty much useless.
Indeed one image could be with a 35mm lens and the other with a 50mm lens. LEO needs to provide all the facts when he is making these bold statements
This is the only correct explanation. Professor Stick was not on the level today.
@@paulsilsby5355 Why would he want to confuse himself with facts? There are loads of videos showing the Earth's curvature. I wonder how many he went through until he found one where the altitude/FOV gave about the same amount of curvature as the ISS video.
And then the concussion is "the curvature is due to optics" But no explanation the optical effect here, or of how you get the solar panels optically in a straight line below the "optically" curved Earth and then more solar panels in a straight line above the "optically" curved Earth.
That is one really weird camera lens.
But who cares about facts and reality - cherry-pick and handwave. That's how to Flerf.
All circles are similar, so yes, if you crop and resize the images, you can always make the curves line up.
Dropped the editing ball at 1:00 lol
HA! LEO's premier on Professor Stick.
LEO is concocting a similarity by zooming one photo but not zooming the other. You can make two curves identical with your choice of zooming!
These are people who don't understand why different photos of Earth look different. Baby steps.
Different lenses. The wider the angle, the more of the curve that is visible. With optical zoom, I can make Earth curve 'appear' to disappear.
0:44 you say the same thing twice, same thing happened in a recent video, funny coincidence. Penguins?
When will they ever understand that we have people in space, in orbit, and have for 20+ years. Ffs
How can he use one thing to disprove the other? It makes no sense. Let's say you find a toy dog, does that disprove dogs?
Professor Stick has never heard of LEO before? If only the rest of us could say the same!
Agreed. LEO might make a good RationalWiki article. Professor Stick has an article about him too but in a positive light
I've heard there is a new small channel out there that people believe is LEO pretending to be another person. This could be from that channel
Adam is such a pantomime.
I wouldn't mind paying 10'000$ USD to anyone who can create a working Flat Earth model that is consistent with observed reality
It shouldn't be too difficult if the Earth was Flat.
There is a $10k challenge if they can do celestial navigation, already by MC Toon
@@leonxpc1 Awesome
I'm surprised LEO didn't use his mantra "pantomime"
Or "demonstrably"
Plus Airfix and charade.
He knows the words, but is totally clueless about their meaning.
The irony that a channel called "Level Earth Observer" fails to observe the curve correctly.
The cockpit video looks to be from a GoPro or another small wide angle sensor/lens, the one of the cosmonauts is at least above 24mm maybe even 50mm lens
Yes, imagine trying to get a shot inside a small space like a fighter jet cockpit with a 50mm, it is obviously a wide-angle lens. My entire bedroom is about 3 metres * 3 metres and I can't get a full body shot inside it with a 50mm.
I think I know that flerf's voice from SciManDan.
Yeah, it's L.E.O.
Adam the crane operator
Yeah, Dan has covered Level Earth Observer (LEO) many times.
The amount of visible curvature does not only depend on altitude, but also on the focal length used. If the 2 shots don't use the same focal length, you must not compare the curvatures. Think about: If you zoom in on the ISS footage, the horizon will stretch out. So it's no problem to make the horizon almost straight from the ISS while from the plane with a wide angle lens the horizon appears much more curved.
I literally spit out my tea from laughing when he said you can’t have the same curve from both those locations. To the scale of a planet, the 2 locations have a difference in perspective that you would expect to see if looking at a fire hydrant a half block away and then looked at it again after taking one step forward. Yes, technically there is *a* difference, but you aren’t really going to notice it. You would expect it to look the same.
It never ceases to amaze me how confidently smug the stupidest people are.
They have no sense of scale at all. The same way most people cannot fathom how long a million years really is or how much money a billion Dollars is.
It's funny how Flat Earthers want to use the whole "Oh if I zoom in on a ship that's too far for my eye to see I can see it clearly again" distance thing to discredit any curve but they don't actually understand distance at all. At least not enough to measure things. But then again they are using the same system that measures the GLOBE EARTH to try to prove flatness, so of course their shit doesn't line up.
Yeah, sounds like LEO.
I can't believe that you'd never come across LEO before! You lucky b-word! Enjoy his extreme overuse of the words "charade" and "pantomime"! 😂

Good to see you posting again sir.
Ha! I knew that voice! Good ol' LEO. Never fails to amaze. 😄
Flerfs also constantly conflate "optical" and "visual" or "visible" which, in the context of science, are not the same thing.
Fluid definitions is their bread and butter. Unless there happens to be a definition of a word that _you_ use that nullifies your point, in which case they insist that is the only definition. Fickle is what they are. Flighty.
Oh whoa you haven't heard of the sub par crane operator Level Earth Observer. He's been around for awhile.
He disguised himself in this video by not using the words "pantomime": and "demonstrable observable reality"
"Now, I go'a be honest..."
Boy, did he ever start that sentence on the wrong foot.
LEO: If you put a sphere on top of another sphere you get the same shape, therefore those are not spheres.
Einstein from the grave: WRITE THAT DOWN! WRITE THAT DOWN!
LOL
Yep using a narrower angle lens is the same as zooming in or cropping the image meaning you will be viewing a smaller portion of the curve making it appear flatter.
0:52 you have a jump in the video and the same exact part is played twice. It happened a couple of times in previous videos, hope you'll find a way to fix it in the future. Love your content.
Here is a drinking game: every time Adam calls something a charade or a pantomime take a drink. Better not watch for long or else you will be very drunk. He says he works as a construction crane operator. That is a frightening thought.
There's also the fact that he zoomed in the photo from the Space Station to try and make the curves look "the same"
Thanks for the video :)
if the earth was flat cats would have pushed everything of the edge by now
flat earther : Yeah but its the mountain is big.
Enlarging a cricle to the same size as a larger circle gives you 2 identical circles... shocker.
I knew James May had a pilot's license, but I didn't realize he could go so high up 😂
Oh....sounds like Level Earth Observer.
Flerfers have no idea
LEO.... The gift that keeps coming
I must correct you here @Professor Stick. The sensor diagonal divided by focal length gives field of view. If we don't know that the exact same camera and lens was used in the both clips the comparison is meaningless. Please check out one of the FOV calculators online. Like if you clip out 10% of the centre of one of the clips and stretch it to the frame there will be much less curvature from the same clip.
It's like, everything with them is selective. They have this vibrant imagination, imagining all kinds of nefarious plots of devious societies but when you ask them to imagine these simple thing that explain their objection adequately, now all of the sudden they just can't even imagine such a thing. They tell you not to trust books and to perform your own experiments in the interest of good science and questioning established principles but when you suggest they design an experiment that correctly utilizes the scientific method it's all "Oh I don't have time for that.". It's always "Do your research!" but really it's "Do the right kind of research. The kind you find in the dark little corners of the internet. The kind that points to my prefered conclusion." On some level, they simply MUST know that they're being dishonest and biased and not seeking the best truth but rather their own prefered truth.
How can a single human mind have such a tangled web of cognitive dissonance that helps to support misinformation that helps to support lies that feed their ego? For example, in order for flat earth to be true, space needs to be fake which means there's a systematic plot levied by forces unknown to deceive the ENTIRE population about fundamental models of reality spanning centuries, and no one has any idea who they are or anything about them except MAYBE they have some connection to the 15th century secret society called the Illuminati. The two most powerful countries in the world in the middle of the 20th century were both extremely bitter rivals, ideologically opposed to each other, amassing huge numbers of nuclear weapons to shoot at each other with the most dire of all consequences, yet they were both in on the plot to protect the secret of the flat earth and they both pulled off huge numbers of hoaxes that began with Sputnik and ended with Apollo including a large number of failures that were national embarrassments, just to keep that worthless secret that does no one any good.
Ahh LEO, the poster boy of incredulity.
That's bad ol' Level Earth Observer. He's regularly debunked by Wally, SciMan Dan, and many others. He's famous for his incredulity but not for his analysis
You can say that again (but I'll save you the time 😎)
"He's famous for his incredulity but not for his analysis" 😂Brilliant!
I'm glad you noticed the slight difference and explained why. That was exactly the point I would have made. 🤤
Man that's satisfying
The curvature difference was easy to see
Interesting video.
Where is Wally has a run at this guy every week just about😅
Oh ffs not L.E.O...🤣
The rotation of the earth is different between the two movie clips - what a cokc!
If the two images do not have an identical angle of view, comparing curve shapes is bonkers from the start, as the amount of curvature available obviously increases with angle. Additionally, it is hard do see how wide a FOV the image from the airplane has, but to me it looks wide angle, meaning that for a horizon line above the center line, the small amount of potential distortion might add a bit to the curvature of the horizon line.
Adam is a minor UA-camr, thankfully, but a favourite among FE debunkers (at least some of them).
What would prevent NASA from faking using a different curvature in background? Curvature looks differently at different zoom levels.
I had to mute that part of the video because it was using interstellar music and I'll cry if i get a copyright claim
(Just in case: the joke is stick said it twice, so i'mma keep it rolling and say it myself too)
Interesting
A flat Earther won the lottery and bought a ticket for an orbital flight.
What did he say when he got back?
"I don't believe it."
My guess would be that he would claim it was CGI.
LEO's channel my be small be he is well known to the debunking community.
Oh god I forgot flat earthers exist.
I am so so sorry that you had to encounter the waste of skin that is Level Earth Observer ☹
ok now the only real explanation for them believing flat earth is being dropped as a baby
Good luck trying to convince Adam (LEO) that the Earth is a globe, because he'd rather believe that we live on a flat non moving disc than face reality.
This sounds like LEO. He's a hopeless case, and obsessed with proof of FE by tower cranes.
you forgot the use of his favorite word, 'pantomime', even though he clearly has no clue what that even means in real life...
Ban flat earthers!
0:50 you left a double on the music note
The edge of a disc is curved too
This is true, but assuming the sky is even half way clear in any given clip, it'll be immediately obvious that the planet is not all visible which you would expect if you could see the edge of the earth. Or the ice wall, or the dome, or any other version of the flat earth
There are still Flerfs sticking to that line? I thought they had all moved to the infinite plane fantasy.
It's nice to hear some one with a British accent say something dumb for a change. The British accent gets too much respect by default, haha.
I might just lie and claim the earth is flat so angry scientists fund my trip to space and I can tell them I need to repeat the experiments a few dozen times to verify the results. Seriously, it’s truly sad whether this is for attention or a genuine belief
Money.
He's a scammer.
Gotta snack em down whilst they are young.
The other thing you fail to mention here is that not every camera has the same field of view. So to make a direct comparison you need not just a similar rectilinear lens, but the same field of view. I don't believe either aspect is the same in these two videos.
It's all SEA-GEE-EYE
Nobody sent the video to LEO, claiming it was globe proof. He found it on the internet and he thinks this is the kind of thing people would try to use as proof.
The guy is a joke. He’s lost his channel more than once so what you see now if a shadow of his old channels. Less people go looking for him each time he loses a channel.
That's LEO (level earth observer) and his shtick is to use videos from space as proof of flat earth which is nothing short of hilarious.
Take the diameter of the Earth, divide it by the diameter of a basketball. Let's call that number X.
Take the height of that Russian space station and divide it by X. Let's call that result Y.
If you take a camera and take a photo Y distance away from a basketball, and then superimpose the new basketball image onto the space station footage, the curvature of the Earth should match the curvature of the basketball.
QED: All basketballs are flat.
Why is it that Earth has to be the only planet that's flat? What about the other 8 planets or are they actually round? 🤔
According to flerfs they aren't planets; just lights in the sky.
Ohh they don't believe in planets, just lights. Space is fake and gravity is might. Reflection exist when convenient and it doesn't when it's not. Sextants prove flat earth when they were created on the assumption of a curve.
Don't read too much into it, Flat Earth is a joke.
this channel is consistently fighting idiots for our sake XD

You've never heard about LEO? Lucky man! 🌍
Level Earth Observer is easily debunked as he doesn't seem to do any research. He once mistook a thermal cover for an airlock door.
How do they explain that you can't see the north star in,f.e. south africa or australia ?!
They don’t
So my thought is the Earth has many dimensions.
Flerfspective strikes again.
I see no evidence that leo is an actual flerf. Since accusation is admission in trolls, I believe all his spite is just a pantomime.
GOOD OLD L.E.O.!!!
earth big
yes finally flat earth content 😂
LEO other than his usual “all lies” rant ignores that the ISS non fisheye photo shows the Earth is curved! James May went up in a U2 plane. He saw curvature. U2 pilots see curvature. The camera took a video of a curved Earth!
Whatever the lens used, any line going thru the centre is never distorted. If it curves, then, it is a curved line.
That's LEO, the guy who have only denial and incredulity as his arguments. Looser Extreme Overboard.
The two shots are from VERY different cameras. A narrow angle for the one from the ISS and a wide angle for the one from the U2 plane. Their field of view are very different. Then, LEO do some scaling to make the curves match.
#GottaLieToFlerf after all.
Indeed. All circles are equivalent and can be overlapped by changing their size (so either the camera focal length or during post-processing by scaling the images). There is no such thing as "an amount of curvature". When looking at a circle the only meaningful measure is its angular size. [insert here the famous clip "These are small (cows) but the ones out there are far way"]
OH Adam (L.E.O.) He is so sad he pretends to be a tower crane driver, Despite not knowing how tower cranes work, He is ludicrous.
Hm. I've heard other UA-camrs say they don't like to call attention to these guys unless they're already getting popular. I wonder if that's a good idea or not. Squashing the bugs before they get too big.
