You really have such an eye for turning your home into this beautiful personalised space full of character, and I love that no space is too small for your attention-to-detail and DIY skills ❤️❤️❤️ It is so, so beautiful. You’re an inspiration! Congratulations on a super job 👷🏻♀️
I am sure it was easier to apply, but I have to say I love the comedic timing of you explaining this rubber grout float tool and then immediately cutting to you applying grout with your fingers 😂
as with all the projects you’ve done on the house, i’ve had full confidence in you all the way! it’s inspiring seeing someone dive into a project they don’t know how to do/haven’t ever done before!
I honestly was skeptical about that tile choice but I cannot believe how beautiful it turned out! The tile trim really pulls it all together and now I want this exact thing in my house. It's completely transformed that fireplace. I'm in awe! Also you are just like me with DIY, stress, panic, confidence through the floor, but then it turns out okay and you're like "why was I so worried?"
Suggestion for the exposed laminate edge - can you cover it by slipping another strip of brass tile edging beneath it? You'll have a double brass lip but I think that would look neater than any alternatives.
As someone with ADHD I can 100% relate to the getting bored of projects and moving on, or deciding to start projects without actually thinking them through. Just gotta think that it always turns out fine in the end! The fireplace looks amazing!
Yess Lucy, as a girlie who's just moved out of her parents house for the first time I am rewatching all of your DIY videos like crazy. This is literally a blessing, thank you ❤
😂 I’m exactly the same. Why finish a job when you can start something else. 😂😂 Love these videos! Can’t believe you’ve been in this house for that long. Crazy how quickly the times gone. X
Flame pit so fresh and so clean, clean! Looks great, nice work! And now we serenely await your autumnal spooky housewares and treats haul. No pressure. None at all. Total serenity. Hope it cools down to proper cozy autumn weather soon🍁🍂🧡
I absolutely love this Lucy, I'm in the process of doing bits and bobs on my house too and this makes me feel less alone in attempting projects that are hard 😂
Omg it looks really professional I really did not expect that not when I heard you use the technical term smudge tool 😂 that looks brilliant 🤩 well done you x
The fireplace looks great! I think it could look good to paint the mantle a dark aubergine colour (or really any darker colour that strikes your fancy), it would make it a bigger statement against the white walls and might make the tiles pop even more.
hahaha me and dellusion are best friends. i think you need a false sense of confidence to do half the diys i have attempted and some how completed in my house. i am glad to see i am not the only one haha great job on the fireplace. it looks amazing
Omg I've been rewatching your moving vlogs for inspo and just watched the one discussing what tiles for the fireplace. I ended up deep scrolling your insta to see if you'd done them and which ones you went for (not a stalker, promise) so very excited for this one 😅 x
Looks great! All your DIY videos give me the confidence to give things like these a go because whats the worst that is going to happen! Please keep recording these!
Well done on the timing! It looks amazing. Those tiles are so nice! Your right it really does tie in the room. Think it looks really good with your sofa. With your new built ins, which I think in your last diy vid (stair one) you were considering painting them pink I think that will look so good with the tiles and the green sofa
This looks amazing and you've inspired me to do mine lol. I've started doing chaotic DIY, much to my finance's dismay as it inevitably means he has to take me to Wickes. IT makes me feel frantic 😂 I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not lol.
This looks so amazing!! Well done! Prob doesn’t matter as you’ve finished and it looks perfect (!!) but that little metal thing that hangs on the back of the tile cutter behind the scorer is for breaking the tile and can kind of sit flat on the tile for breaking it evenly . That being said I feel like it’s literally a lottery whenever you try to cut a tile so who knows if it works any better 😅
I CANNOT believe you've been in your house for 4 years. That means that 4 years has passed in MY life, too. What is time.
I was thinking the exact same!! Wow
Seriously. The last few years have melted into a glob of crazy.
Aaaaaah came here to say the same thing!!😮
I came to say the exact same!!! What the hell how has it been 4 years
I got a full degree in that time, so crazy 😂 glass she stuck around tho
Wow! That came out so well. You’re way better at these DIY projects than you give yourself credit for! I’m so impressed! 😊
That is a major improvement. It looks so much brighter and sleeker in the lighter tiles. Good job!

I don't think you realise how inspiring this is! Love your can-do attitude.
the fireplace looks so good! I love how it ties your kitchen and living room together
First of all, four years ago?! It feels like a year ago, two at most 😂 then, this fireplace looks so LUXURIOUS now, it is absolutely gorgeous!!!
as with all the projects you’ve done on the house, i’ve had full confidence in you all the way! it’s inspiring seeing someone dive into a project they don’t know how to do/haven’t ever done before!
-- I really wish that I knew Lucy in real life. She seems like she would be such a cool and fun friend. 😊❤️

You have done an AMAZING job of that fireplace, it looks lovely.
As someone with ADHD I can 100% relate to the getting bored of projects and moving on, or deciding to start projects without actually thinking them through. Just gotta think that it always turns out fine in the end! The fireplace looks amazing!
The tiles are stunning, give the whole project a really polished, cozy yet modern look. Great work.🎉

It's official - "be delusional enough to be convinced that you can do anything" is my new life motto.
SOOOO happy to see the home renovation videos back they are my favourite!❤
Q. Will you be doing anything to the garden?
‘victim in the background’ is so funny 😂

Good Job Lucy!! The way you handle a DIY project is inspiring. I recently painted my bedroom blue and white. It feels great when it’s done 😍
I absolutely love this Lucy, I'm in the process of doing bits and bobs on my house too and this makes me feel less alone in attempting projects that are hard 😂
Brilliant for a first time doing a tile job! I was a little worried when you started to try and pull up the floor but in the end it looks nice!
Omg it looks really professional I really did not expect that not when I heard you use the technical term smudge tool 😂 that looks brilliant 🤩 well done you x
Oh I absolutely love it! It's so LUXE. Great job.

It's lovely! So bright and cheerful! I like how the trim goes with the trim of the mirror above -- was that a happy coincidence?

Love those tiles ❤
We have a little area in the basement that will need tiling and this has given me the confidence to do so myself :D
Great job Lucy!!!! ❤❤🎉
Love these videos you make Lucy! You are so very talented.
This looks so amazing!! Well done! Prob doesn’t matter as you’ve finished and it looks perfect (!!) but that little metal thing that hangs on the back of the tile cutter behind the scorer is for breaking the tile and can kind of sit flat on the tile for breaking it evenly . I like how it looks. Wondering...aren't you supposed to put a uniform amount of the adhesive on the backs of each tile?
Have you already been in your house for four years!? Time flies I guess 😂
Well Lucy! It looks amazing ❤
It is so pretty!! Great job, you are very inspirational :)
Stunning! made such a difference 😍
Great job!
Girl, this looks amazing! Probably should use a wet saw for the zellige tiles though.
For sure, but I wasn’t buying one of those 😂
Love your channel lots Lucy you always make me smile and always brighten up my day wishing you a beautiful week ahead ❤❤
Just noticed your cuddles in the kitchen sign absolutely love it! Where can one purchase this from! x
Amazing!
Wow you look amazing in overalls:)
Where is your living room rug from, please? It's lovely - I'm looking for one just like it 🙂
Good job! Tiling is the worst 😢 I spent 4 weeks regrouting my shower and I will never again touch any tiling products.
