  • Learn to order food at a restaurant in Norway. Including drinks, food, the bill and complimenting the waitor on the food. Hope this was useful.
    Hey all Norwegian learners!
    The language I'm teaching is not Bokmål nor Nynorsk. It's an east dialect and I don't think you will have much problem with bokmål after this. :) And everyone will understand this.
    I am Norwegian, from Norway. Born and raised. I live in Oslo, with my husband and son.

    Så Interessant det er. Vet du Karin at jeg aldri bruker utrykket som sier " er du snill" isteden bruker jeg " Vær så snill" eller " takk". Høyres det samme?

    I'll begin taking Norwegian lessons in January next year, so I recently checked for some preparing Norwegian videos and stumbled across your channel and I really like your videos. Always informative but short and on the point. I'm quite happy to find so many similarities between German and Norwegian, like:
    "Kan vi bestille?" and "Können wir bestellen"?, so I don't think I'm gonna have a hard time learning. Greetings from Germany and tusen takk!

    Do you tip waiters in Norway? It's required here in the US. I know in Germany it's not mandatory and a few other countries as well.

      +Joshua Graves Very rearly. But it is appreciated. But not neccecery based on their salery.

    • @Kamabrunette
      @Kamabrunette 8 років тому

      +Joshua Graves I think it is always polite to leave the tip, no matter which country you are in. Of course there are some exceptions where tipping is treated as rude behviour eg. Japan, China, Singapore

    What is the difference if we say "Jeg vil gjerne ha denne/dette" instead "Jeg vil gjerne ha det"?

    • @Felisitus
      @Felisitus 7 років тому

      Zoran Brašnjo The first one means "I want this one/I want this" while the other is "I want that"
      Kind of confusing even to translate. It's a thing you just know.
