Bruh WHY is everyone so fixated on turning good animation into live action??? 80% of what makes the show so good is the stellar animation. Turning something like this into live action is a downgrade on every conceivable level (and that's even if you can manage to find a really good cast for it). I'm so sick of people not taking animation seriously and the moment one becomes popular it's all "this would be cool in live action". WHY

I believe many people want live action versions of animated movies and TV shows to attract a larger audience. I can't recommend Arcane to many people I know, including my family, because they consider animation as childish and therefore they would see it as a children's show, which is definitely not. It's a shame because animation is a lot of work and Fortiche has taken it to the next level. I believe Riot wants to make live action movies and/or TV series about other champions in Runeterra and whether or not it will be a major success we will see. I just hope that they stick with the animation in Arcane because that's what makes it special.

The answer is money. Animation like this is way more costly than live-action meaning smaller profit margins and smaller returns for investors. But hey capitalism breeds innovation** !!!

Too much time
I don’t want a cinematic universe. I want a planned series like Harry Potter or GoT. A cinematic universe would have too many plot holes and would split up the creative team. I would rather the same team working on each show for amazing quality like season 1 and a more cohesive and intricate story.

Considering how much freedom they were given with the first season and how successful it was, I don't think the head of riot games is going to allow any interference from producers. He's basically going to tell them, "shut up, sign the check & let these people work their magic," because that'll prove to be successful.
I'd say season 2's biggest issue is hype. Any downgrade in the animation at all will be immediately noticeable as well as the voice acting and level of writing. They had 6 years of work on the first season and probably will only have two to work on the second which will probably mean sacrifices in both areas and that is what will hurt the show more than any producer would.
I don't think you understand the structure of the company behind this. Arcane is and will always be a money loser for Tencent. It is a passion project Tencent allows because it is good for the community and can help drive players to their games, the things that make money. I'd be less worried about internal pressure, and more external pressure to finish the next season quickly making them rush.
Either way, hope we're both wrong and season 2 is great.
I think we‘ll be okay. Arcane was a success story because of the creative control they had, and with season 2 already being written and worked on prior to season 1’s release is very telling. It means that prior to the perception and awards that season 1 got, they already had a clear vision for the next chapter and got that ball rolling.
Given season 1 took 6 years and season 2 started prior to S1 release, I would suspect they’ve got the main story beats for the entire arc of the arcane series already worked out. S1 was planting seeds for later seasons all over the place, and frankly felt like the first act of a larger series.
I’m hoping that Arcane follows LOTR and does 3 seasons - one for each act of the major story overall. I think we’re in for a real treat and with arcane not being the cash crop of their IP, they can afford to take more time if they aren’t making much money anyways.
Your concerns are valid because it happened so many times already, but Riot Games is making really good decisions the past years (with few exceptions). I have confidence Arcane won't be ruined by greedy management.
Honestly, I don't mind if it came out in late 2023. As long as Riot and Fortiche manage to make it equal, or hopefully, even better than S1.

Live-action ANYTHING in this universe would be a bad idea, imo. It doesn't allow the same visual freedom that animation does. Heck, even their record label has animated groups rather than live performers. It just seems wrong.
Plus, I prefer Quality over Quantity and cinematic universes tend to just mass-produce unartistic media solely to make money.

Riot has a good track record when it comes to creative stuff, especially since they already have Lol lore to work with but yeah it's still risky

You can’t just make movies out of everything. Cinema is a more restrained medium compared to the freedom of animation.
With season one ending on such a cliffhanger, I have reason to believe that since the almost immediately started season two, season one was still fresh on the writers’ minds, allowing them to pick up right where they left off.
My guess right now is that they'll go for the same time slot as season 1 with a Novemever 2023 release date but I'd love to see something sooner if possible 🙏

I doubt Irelia will be in Arcane, since her whole story takes place in Ionia. We might get Noxian Invasion stuff in Arcane with the war they're teasing at the end of the season, but I think Arcane'll mostly stick to Piltover and Zaun, and it's characters. On that note, I think Camille could show up
Live-action? Hard pass. Arcane only worked because of the freedom of animation as well as the writing. That world will not translate to Live-action at all. Not unless they spend Amazon Lord of the Rings type of production money.
Should've just hired different animation studios. Seems like they're just wasting the hype Arcane got them. Should've already had a second animated show, by a different group, being done to be released this year.

i don’t mind if it takes a long time for arcane season 2 to come out. it just means it will be as good, if not better than season one. they had six years to work on it, which is evident in how detailed everything is. actually i hope it takes a long time- unfortunately lots of tv shows and movies with good plots end up not-so-great because the artists felt rushed making it. I really hope that’s not what happens to season two of Arcane, but i doubt it will.

I don’t understand people complaining about the live action stuff, it’s not like they’re turning Arcane live action all of a sudden. It’s just that some projects will be live action and some will be animated. The truth of the matter is, live action just appeals to more people and will draw more people in. Like as successful as Arcane have been, it had to fight tooth and nail against the stigma of being animated, of being just another cartoon in the eyes of people, especially a movie. And a fully animated movie is very, very expensive, and pair that with potentially little returns, it just makes more sense for it to be live action. A live action project will draw in more people and even make them more amenable towards the animated projects, and besides we’re not gonna lose the animated projects since Riot has partnered up with Fortiche, so it’s a win win.
The thing is, many good plots/shows were good (anime, for example) until netflix thought about live action

So, we can all agree that the first season was Jinx arc. What about season 2? My hypothesis is that it will be Viktor's arc. And to my luck, you've put the scene that I would like to mention in the video. The cards Sevika played, the Magician and Death, are Tarot cards as you might already know. The Magician represents power of creation (we can also see that it's the game version of Viktor), while Death represents change, transition and transformation. When you put those two together (and, well, know the events that are supposed to happen soon), we can easily say that it's time for a new beginning. When you add to that the disaster Jinx might have caused (since Mel MIGHT be using magic) and the fact that he's dying, it's likely that something within Viktor might get triggered. Also, Arcane is full of foreshadowing and I really think it might be a case with the cards as well.
