My unsung hero for this postseason is Marte. None of his hits have been THE moment of the game, but he's kept rallies going and driven in key insurance runs in big games.
Just said that yesterday. 100 percent. Not trying to do too much, staying back, making contact. Wish Alvie would follow suit instead of swinging out of his shoes every AB
i went to sleep at around 11:30pm UK time and just left the game it was 1-0, checking twitter to see what people were saying. where we missing our chances. so i just hoping when i woke up something would of happened. roll on 3:30am UK time i woke up. i checked my phone half asleep....read my phone and just smiled 😃and tried to go back to sleep as if i let the excited take over i wouldn't gone back to sleep. waking up in the morning just so happy, will make my day so much more fun. i am just so pleased for the team, guys and the fans, what a team we have.

Connor, Joe, THANK YOU for being one of my narrators for the Mets seasons since 2022! You are a comforting part of my 25 mile midweek commute every week of the season (and in the offseason, whenever there is a new episode). Now we get to enjoy this NLCS togehter after what already felt like winning the pennant. LFGM!
On Nimmo crying i must say i am 48 years old and am not much of a crier but seeing him tear up gave me a lump in my throat. What i realized is ive cried once over sports and that was when i was a kid and watched Walter Paytons last game and watching him with him sitting on the bench head down with his hands on his helmet crying after losing to the Redskins in the playoffs. Im now sure if the mets win the world series i will be shedding some tears.
Last year was my last at Citifield after 41 years of going to Shea/Citi. I’d been to every playoff series since 2000. I am cheering and crying from Buenos Aires now and I can still feel the energy and excitement! This team has swagger! LGM!
I KNOW THIS SOUNDS CRAZY BUT LINDOR ROUNDING THE BASES REMINDED ME OF ROBERT REDFORD HITTING THAT LAST HOME RUN IN THE MOVIE "THE NATURAL" . GOT GOOSE BUMPS BOTH TIMES.
What makes the mets so tough is basically what Joe said. 1-5 in the rotation arent arent Aces but they are all capable of shutting anyone out on a given night. 1-9 in the lineup can all hurt you. Alvarez is our coldest bat yet he is always a danger to take you deep at any time. And the biggest thing is they all believe and will fight to the final out. I said back in August that if this team can sneak into the playoffs they are going to be a big problem. They got the Atl monkey off their back by beating them in Atl, took down MIl who owned the mets during the season and they beat the division champ and rival the Phils. Now they get 3 days off before playing SD/LA and i cant wait. I absolutely cannot wait for the NLCS no matter who we face.
I can't wait until fans piece together their produced recaps and show how off you 2 were OFF with so many things. You guys doubted so many times this year . EAT IT
There are a few moments in franchise history that you can say are similar to what happened with lindors grand slam…one of them was game 3 in 1969 Tommy Aggie made two legendary catches in cf…that’s one…but if you’re considering everything…and the piazza home run is separate bc it’s an all American moment…but what lindor did….that for me has to be the most important moment in the history of the team
This becomes the biggest test..... and rightfully so. A trip to the west coast after a few off days against.... quite likely....a Padres team that has fired in all cylinders in the 2nd half. They're balanced and they're hungry and their fans are hungry too. Yes ..the Mets have played them well this season.....but they have big bats and big pitching.... with a GRADE A bullpen. This should be a fantastic series.
Quintana who was once considered not an option for 2025 Rotation has thrown himself at least into the mix of possible options considering Scott is out for 2025, Senga might still require extra rest between starts. Senga, Peterson are the locks and then theres options to re-sign Sevy, Manaea plus the options of Butto going back in the rotation along with the Minor leaguers (Tidwell, Sproat, Vasil, Hamel, Lucchessi) and whoever they sign.
The other jarring part of the idea that the Mets are only one of four teams left in the playoffs is the fact that of those four, the Mets might be as good or better than any as of them. I think the Padres and Dodgers will be a tough out because both are highly talented and playoff-tested with great lineups and bullpens. But I think the Mets can beat anyone at this point.
Next series, we have to get Alvarez right at the plate. He’s trying to pull everything and his timing is so off. Also winker needs to be Dhing over Martinez (right/left) matchup, which we should see vs the California teams with all there starters being righty mainly.
"AT THE END OF THE DAY THE METS UPSET BRAVES , BREWERS & PHILS" ? NO !! METS DID NOT UPSET ANYONE BECAUSE THEY WERE THE BEST TEAM IN BASEBALL SINCE JUNE. METS SHOULD HAVE BEEN FAVORED IN EACH SERIES
Honestly, I'm not all that focused on Soto. He's a great player, no doubt. But I don't know that a huge contract to a superstar is what Stearns is going to be looking for. Will be an interesting offseason.

Meet the Mets!
....and the Ride continues!
Appears to me that every Met in this line up can come up clutch. There are no easy outs.

Great pod Thx
Don't stop believin' 🎶
Keep riding the Wave!!! They bottled the chemistry. This doesn’t happen often. Enjoy it
Lindor was going for a home run and the announcer said it himself when he had that first swing and a Miss that was a home run swing.

I'm 43, I want to witness my first mets world series. 1986 doesn't count since I was 4 years old.
You mean World Series Title.
@@cutycatgo7 No, .. 2015 doesn't count either because Gary was only 33.

CORRECTION : METS CLINCHED & CELEBRATED BOTH '69 & '86 WORLD SERIES AT HOME. OR ARE YOU MAKING A DISTINCTION BWTWEEN SHEA STADIUM & CITY FIELD?
Yeah, I think the statement is about Citi, which opened in '09.

Acuna should stay

Dump Torres
