I admit it I did all year now. I find myself really liking how they're playing the game their having fun, good, starting pitching, and big hits at the most intense times. It looks like they have a bright future as well.. I was wrong.
Give our owner credit. He held onto our farm system and isnt afraid to admit bad roster spots. He let those two pitchers walk ,demoted Beatty and look at the results! Fans, we have Alvarez ,Alcuna, and Vientos all young and talented and when the kid Ronny Mauricio gets healthy..whew the future is bright!!
Fans are dumb...Lindor always starts slow. He has been their best player from day one and the man does it om offense and defense. He loves the game and has always been a great teammate from Day one!! MVP Lindor!
We as Mets fans don’t want Michael Kay talking about our team Stick to the Yankees. Cause if the yankee fan base is tired of him, we don’t want him either
But but…. The Philly fans are complaining that the days off they had is why they lost. It hurt them. They complaining that the wild card format hurts the division winners. And it needs to be changed. Anyway, yes… we need these few days off. We been non stop since the brewers series
I have to disagree with Don. Game 4 felt like Game 1 insofar as Phillies had a starter who wouldn’t allow runs. But if the Mets could drive up the pitch count and knock the starter out, the team was going to make it happen. The grand slam was fairy tale, cinematic, miraculous but at the same time, with Ranger out, it was possible. If the Mets can’t score on your starter, they will work the count and drive them out.
these Mets remind me of the D backs from a season ago coming out of nowhere to win it all propelled by Lindor. his leadership is valuable you can't put a price on what he's done in that clubhouse as a leader and his play has been good. it could be better but i agree with Don the Mets don't get here without Lindor contributions on and off the field. idk how you can't be impressed with what they have done and i'm a Yankees fan saying this without any ego the Mets are for real.
I want the Dodgers in the NLCS, so after we dispose of them, we'd have beaten all three Division winners in the playoffs. I'd like to win the WS, but the NL pennant with that kind of resume proves we're the best team in the League.
The Mets were the best team in baseball for the last 100 games. There is something to be said for that. There were no 100 game winners in MLB this season so every team has uncertainty. They overcame the challenging schedule to finish the season are playing with house money.... They are dangerous.
The mets are simply a cinderella team riding that mojo all the way just like the rangers last year and the phillies the year before that. Teams get hot at the right time and just ride that wave
About 80 million on the books of players that are no longer here plus their ace, Senga missed all season. They probably spent over 100 million on players who didn't play an inning this season for the Mets.
There is a Mets Lore narrative here that i think has escaped the notice of even the most erudite followers of Mets nation. It has either gone unnoticed or unmentioned, but now might be a good time to shine a flashlight on it. Who will be the first to find a year where the mets didn't spend the entirety of the campaign with one or more of their *top three players* out all year? Is this typical of all teams? Surely it can't be? Let us begin. 2024 Kodai Senga Was slotted as the Ace 2023 Edwin Diaz Was coming off a historic season for a reliever 2022 Jacob DeGrom Started the season drawing comparisons to all time greats in the game 2021 J. Cespedes doing his best Robert Baratheon. These aren't injuries to just anyone these were supposed to be HIM of the year...guys. I'm drawing a blank on 2020 (The one that doesn't count) but not on many other years, It happens so often I'm thinking perhaps this observation slipped under the radar because we have been conditioned to accept the notion that every year, The Mets must complete the campaign without one of our most important players.
The post season has nothing with the regular season MVP vote. I'm a die hard Mets fan and what Ohtani did was amazing. By the way it's Ohtani not "the Japanese. Jeesh.
Met lineup is deep.....so is their bench. They have better guys on the bench than some teams have in their lineup
Gotta give Michael Kay credit - not a lot of guys admit to underestimating teams.
As a Mets fan it took me a long time to come around to Kay. But he's very good and very fair, imo
I admit it I did all year now. I find myself really liking how they're playing the game their having fun, good, starting pitching, and big hits at the most intense times. It looks like they have a bright future as well.. I was wrong.
Never.
@@apmartini70I love the commitment
I give him credit, but he forever will be an asshole

In May Gary Cohen was devastated at how bad the Mets were. Now look. Great example of the season being a Marathon and getting hot in Sept.
We as Mets fans don’t want Michael Kay talking about our team
Stick to the Yankees. Cause if the yankee fan base is tired of him, we don’t want him either
David Stearns needs to get some credit for building this team. Cashman could learn a few things from him.
The dude who asked about the crowd noise has got to be kidding. The sound mix is obviously for the announcer.
The Mets will have 3 days rest. So that good for us and the Mets
But but…. The Philly fans are complaining that the days off they had is why they lost. It hurt them. They complaining that the wild card format hurts the division winners. And it needs to be changed.
Anyway, yes… we need these few days off. We been non stop since the brewers series
Don was right last year. He said he wasn't counting the Mets out despite the firesale and the bad contracts and expectations
Don says that every year. He's a die-hard Met fan.
Peter:
"You just want to make me a bad guy?"
Don: "no."
Michael: "Yeah!"
Ha.

Overpaid?
Looks like a bargain now.

Peter lol

Didnt Kay say earlier in the season Lindor was the worst contract ever after one month of baseball.
Obviously he was talking about his Mets career up to that point
@@francisalbert1799 he had one bad year, his first.
Do we smell a subway series WS?
Mets in 4
@@gregalmonte8Yankees in 4
Only if the subway runs from Queens to Detroit.
Until we get there let's not rush NYC we both have way more work to do
Yankees are garbage I can't believe the american league is that weak

lindor has class
soto stares down pitchers when he takes a pitch for a ball
huge difference
He’s most likely a Met next year though
You will be loving that next year when he is on the Mets
Doesn’t mean the young man can’t learn a better way through proper guidance.
Mets are definitely showing more heart then the Yankees i believe they just might win The World Series.
I totally disagree with you! He a bargain now!! What is judge contract then if landor is over paid??? You cant find judge in the playoffs!!
Lindor knows is not over till the World Series is in his hands .
I was there and the place was electric!

They also beat the Yankees 4 games in inter league play , and I'm a Yankees fan . This is a Good Team , I will give credit where it is due .
No one calls a Mets homer like Gary!!!
As a philly fan I am happy for the Mets. They beat their ass. A group of entitled brats were taken to the wood shed. Congrats
Mets are good....none of this is luck or destiny...it's the product of talent.
LET’S GO METS 💯⚾️🇵🇷 Lindor
The mets are simply a cinderella team riding that mojo all the way just like the rangers last year and the phillies the year before that. Teams get hot at the right time and just ride that wave
Queen at Wembley was a cool comparison
Funny how this is considered a “Cinderella story “ for a team with a top 5 payroll. They’re supposed to be here
About 80 million on the books of players that are no longer here plus their ace, Senga missed all season. They probably spent over 100 million on players who didn't play an inning this season for the Mets.
All credit to Lindor but I think he did not celebrate the homerun partly because he disliked Jesse Kinker's obnoxious celebration.

Lindor should be the mvp not the Japanese!
This represents WHY people in NYC were calling for this. It's always been about race. And no city hates Asians like New York City.
No he shouldn’t
Only if he wins the World Series can you have an argument of Lindor being more deserving than Ohtani.
The post season has nothing with the regular season MVP vote. I'm a die hard Mets fan and what Ohtani did was amazing. By the way it's Ohtani not "the Japanese. Jeesh.

LGM 🔥 NLCS
Did he really say LAs bullpen is cooked😆 If LA moves on Buehler is going to dominate game 1, mark my words
