I’ve got no problem with Samuel L. Jackson’s portrayal of Fury in the MCU, but for me the only real Nick Fury was the one co-created by Stan Lee/Jack Kirby & Jim Steranko.

To correct your information, OG Fury doesn’t retire on the moon, he uses the Zodiac key to travel the multiverse and go to places where they might need him more since he wants to go somewhere where he doesn’t know all the secrets to every corner of the world like his home reality. Personally, I think this is such a bad move since I think it would have been nice to have Nick Fury back in the Marvel Universe and possibly help his son Nick Jr to learn the ropes of being in the espionage world.

In the urgent 616 universe, the black Fury is his son. Zodiac pulled his eye out. He's technically not the leader of SHIELD right now, I think. The Ultimate Universe Fury was specifically made to look like Jackson for fun years ago.
The original Nick Fury is in reality the father of the present Nick Fury Jr, but in the MCU this reality he is the same as an alternative reality version. However, there's another route of origin for the Fury family history in all variants they exist as a Watcher a single character in both realities sent to be a guardian of the whole multiverse. Of course, they are human while on any Earth and shift throughout existence by looking and watching the outcomes of the course of history-realities and help by giving advice or assistance in secret. It of course is very odd that the name Fury is similar to those of mythology like Furies messenger or sometimes mystical angels of vengeance.
The man called Nick Fury Agent Of Shield and Sgt Fury and later was given the title Watcher Of The Moon has never truly appeared in the MCU as Nick Fury's father or possibly grandfather. Because it possible there's no Nick Fury movie a stand-alone film or possibly a film with connections to the Captain America arc, and Tony Stark and Peggy Carter(pre-Shield) after all she may have trained a very young Nick Fury?

Well actually Sam threatened to sue the comic writers using his likeness for nick fury but they decided on giving him the role in the movies and Sam settled with that.

He probably never read the books. Mark Hamill is invested in Star wars because he helped to build the franchise. He is a cornerstone of the lore. We can't start putting pressure on actors to treat every property like they've always been a life long fan! Why didn't Tobey McGuire complain about Peter having organic webs from his wrist? Why didn't jack Nicholson complain about Joker killing Bruce Wayne parents. Why didn't Tom Hardy complain about Eddie Brock not being comic accurate. And so on and so on. We CANNOT expect actors to care enough about the property to turn it down because it's not 100 percent comic accurate. It's unrealistic to expect everyone in comic book movie to be fans of the property like us.

While I agree, there is a silver lining. Ex I can't say much of McGuire how big of a fan he was but still that was verry small change even if I had some tough time to swallow the change I accepted it.
Jack Nicholson was somewhat interested in the 80's Joker after been looking him up for updated references and he was satisfied with the story changes due to the duality of it all - that Joker creates Batman and Batman accidently creates Joker (!). Nicholson captured the esence of the psychotic villain more then evreyone expected.
Tom Hardy...well that is a good point as he claimed to be a fan of the character and the comics growing up and yet he was contributing to the changes.
Depending on character, its design and background and long-time fan support, I'm of the opinion that there must be some professional respect and decent knowledge when accepting a role as a very famous comicbook character, but less if it is a less known one or one with little backstory to work with.
