- Have you just dropped your iPad or smartphone in water when it's not waterproof? Well, i just did and by watching this video, you'll see how i fixed it. Hopefully this will work for you and save you from buying a replacement or paying for costly repairs.

Thank you. I dropped my iPad in my bath water accidentally last night. I blow-dried it and then put it in rice for 24 hours. My volume is back working and it’s loud. Glad I found your video. It works if you follow all his instructions.

It works!!! I dropped my phone into a water-filled basin, and it was still functioning initially. However, the short circuit did occurred which meant the screen of my phone turn green and black instead of my original wall paper. Then, I faster switched it off, and put it into the uncooked-rice container for 24 hours. I did used air-dryer(only air mode/little hot mode) to dry the phone twice in the middle when I took it out and dry for 20 minutes. Luckily it works!!! My phone still functioning well until today.

@@amilia5487 did you ever fix it? Mine barely got submerged in water and now half of my screen is black. I didn’t realize it’d miss up that easily so I kept using the tablet but now I realize my mistake. I’m hoping I caught it soon enough but I don’t think I did. 1k down the drain

I cannot thank you enough for this… my drinking bottle spilled inside my bag and all my things were in it. When I came home I realized my iPad can’t be charged (the audio was fine tho) I was so hopeless until I try the rice method along with the hair dryer. Leave the rice and iPad overnight in a box, the next morning I hair dryer it for 5 minutes and it miraculously started to charge again 😭👍✨ Thank you so much!! As an asian, I’m happy that the rice in my house is not only something I can eat everyday but it also helps with my problems. 🍚🍚🍚

Thank you! I dropped mine in dish water. Fell of the window sill into the sink. 😢. I blow dried it out and mine sat in some sushi rice in a tight container for 2 days. My iPad is fully functional again. Your a lifesaver!!

Trying this today, my iPad was wet from a Florida storm. Tried it after a couple of days but it didn’t work but great video
Tips:
-blowdry the headphone jack and charging port
-download the app sonic, full volume around 200 (only when the headphones are fixed)

Tried this with my iPad after having it near the pool. I thought iPads were water proof. The rice in a plastic contain did not work so now I am trying a glass baking dish cover in foil. Hope it will work. I would like it to still work so I can trade it in.

Does the iPad have to be in rice or could it be in oat meal or grits? Also does it have to be in there for 24h?
The rice absorbs moisture but could work less than 24 hours if your lucky
I really hope this works because, water spilled in my backpack and it went all over my iPad. I didn't notice this until I reached my destination, but when I did I quickly pulled my iPad out and dried it. We first tried charging it, but then I figured out your not supposed to? Then we let it sit for one day and it turned on, but there's water marks and water stuff..? At the sides it's darkening and it looks wavy..? It's like the inside was paper and it was kinda scrunched up... I hope I can fix it cause I need it for important stuff.. Any tips?

This worked my god sister 4 years old dropped my iPad in the tub. I instantly dryed it off and it kept saying I had headphones in even though I didn’t. And I came across this video having hope I let my iPad sit on top of rice over night. And I was very happy I did not have to go to the shops to get it repaired

Decided to do some laundry and didn't realize my ipad was wrapped in there. Gonna give this a try but considering I didn't notice it was gone until one of my family brought it over and said it was in the wash it was in there for a fair amount of time.

did this to my ipad 1 that got water damage where the screen had brighter spots like water flowed through and the power button was partially functioning where the ipad would shut off and do weird shit and would rarely react to me pressing the button. no news on it yet, still sitting in rice. it got rained on and I was not expecting rain

Mine is currently in a bag of rise. Unfortunstely we dont have enough rise and is now night time do te stores are closed. So onely the part with the plug-ins is coverd with rise

I need help, I was cleaning my iPad on the sides but then the water went all over my screen
My sound is perfectly fine but the problem for me if that if I press something it just won't press! So I have to press down on what I want to press on REALLY REALLY hard, and it's just annoying. I tried restarting but it actually made it worse.

SenpaiDaisy it worked for me, so it should work for you. The only problem i have now is that a but of my screen is shaded differently then the rest of the screen

I would use rice, it helps absorb the moisture faster.
i put it in at around 10 pm and just check it right now at 7:40 am, at it fixed it 😊

Not sure about that. Rice could help but it may be more difficult to fix.

My iPad did not drop in water but had water poured on it, and i wiped it and thought every thing was fine. Until it was time to play music and my volume doesn't work so i tried everything the web told until i nearly gave up. Then i went to a web page and it taught me the hairdryer (5 - 10min) method, it didn't work at first but when i checked the next day it worked!!
What is the hair dryer method?

When my iPad fell into water the Sound didn’t work so I tried using headphones and it worked but after I few days it stopped opening up so I basically lost my iPad
I knew this was a trick for phones.
I haven’t tried it with my iPad yet. Until tonight when my son dropped it in the darn tub. Let’s pray it works.

i'm using a voice thing to do this I put my iPad in rice. Most of my keyboard is not working so I am using the voice thing my face ID and my camera is not working. My camera is fuzzy and Face ID is turned off because it's not working, and there is also other problems

My iPad dropped bottom first into shallow water and now it’s completely shut down I hair dryer dried it and it still doesn’t turn on. I blew into a small crack in my iPad and a little water came out of my headphone jack and charger port. I am now trying the rice trick. I dipped my iPad fully into rice not on top because I don’t have a container but I just shoved it in the rice pack with rice in it. I hope this works...
I think it dries out faster if you can seal it in a container. Hopefully this works for you too!

can someone help?? My volume works fine but my Ipad won’t charge. I plug in my charger and it comes up on my ipad saying that its charging but doesn’t increase and ends up decreasing. I thought that maybe turning it off would make it charge but when i turn it on, it says that it isn’t even charging. It’s currently at 15% and I’ve tried so many things.

I left mine out in the rain , as i was painting a fence and ran in , but totally forgot the ipad ....!so I have put in rice in a baking tin with foil on , in the hot water tank cupboard for the night .... .fingers crossed!

I dropped my brothers iPad in a hot tub and didn’t know for 4 days
Only my headphone jack was in the water, so I dried it and then I used a cotton swab. Took some of the cotton off so it could fit and then I put it in the headphone jack. Surprisingly it worked!
