Hi Gena, I was just saying recently to someone that I’m sure plants, even indoors, know what the season is outdoors because I’ve been observing their behaviour and your snow bush proves the point. Thanks for taking us into your grow tent, how amazing! I can see why you love it so much.
Hi Renate!!!! Thank you 🥰. Yep for sure!!!! I think even in the house the plants can sense that slight change in temperature which is a sign for them. Pretty interesting 😊.
Hi Gena! Thanks so much for the mention - I was thrilled to hear it! Glad your queen is on the rebound. She loves her humidity! Your grow tent is beautiful! I really enjoyed the tour!
Thanks Cheryl 🥰. I always kept your recommendation in mind and because of that I knew instantly to take action at the first sign of distress…..so thank you for that 💕💕💕.
Wow Gena! Loved the tour so much......amazing all your props.....so so worth it for your shop :)....how fun to have everything growing in the same place! Loved every moment.....I love my pink spot I bought from you.....someone needs to buy that nice full one! Beautiful.....lots of great props coming up! Doesn't fall feel busier than summer....I do not do well during season changes! Talk to you soon butterfly and love you tina
Hi, Tina!!!!! Those pink spots are so stinkin cute!!!! Glad you got one!!!! I love going into the tent and admiring them every day. I have so many props to make for next spring. Looking forward to filling up the tent with more stuff. Fall is definitely a busy time of year. But I also get a sense of calm and relief knowing that winter is coming and my brain is telling me it is a time for rest. Not sure that will be the case indoors, but it's definitely a break from all of the outdoor work. We spent part of the day today preparing for winter. I put a lot of my outdoor decor in and just some fall cleanup in the gardens. It was a good day. Love ya!!!!!
Hi Gena!! Thanks for taking us on a visit into your grow tent! I really enjoyed this tour! It's interesting to see all the equipment needed to run. I couldn't have all that electric going in my NYC apartment, I'd probably blow a fuse! lol I like your shelving units on the outside, perfect for all your supplies. Everything looks great! ❤❤❤❤
Hi Nicole!!!! So glad you enjoyed it 🥰. You could totally run the tent without all the gadgets. People do it all the time. I don’t think I’ve seen another grow tent on UA-cam that uses the equipment that I do. I’m sure they are out there, I just haven’t seen it. This stuff just makes my life so much easier lol. The outside shelving units are great but need organizing all the time. They can easily get out of control 😊. Thanks again 💕💕💕.
The aerial roots on the Michan's get so crazy long. Love that plant. Your grow tent holds so many babies. I have considered enclosing my Parrot cages, niw lant homes, with glass or plastic to create a more humid sace for props.
Micans has quickly become a favorite of mine!!!! I’m thinking of making a big plant out of a few of the Micans props I have in the grow tent. You should do that with the parrot cage. Sounds like it’d be perfect for that!!!!
@@ThePinkTrellis I actually have a second pot with trellis of micans going right now and just the other day took a handful of cuttings from my mother plant. I chose cuttings with long aerial roots to see if they would grow secondary on them faster than just the nodes putting out roots. Just goofing around. I just like that plant so much I feel it is worthy of two pots. I only have a few pants that are duplicates. I will have to put the clear shower curtains on my list or heavy clear plastic. I think it would be perfect and I would still be able to see into it from all sides. Not the intense light like the grow tents. And it would not be as tight but I do think it would up the humidity. The cuttings would probably enjoy it.
Hi Gena, thank you for taking us into your grow tent. Lots of neat goodies in there. You look fabulous in your Free people top. I think I recall the brand, maybe lol. Have a wonderful week❤
Not quite 😂. But I have a lot of plants so I needed to break them up. Plus plant tours get the views 😜. I just did a plant care video and will be doing more of those in the future. Don’t worry….no more plant tours here for awhile.
I think I figured out why over a dozen of all my philodendron repots got root rot. I had switched to coco coir and coir needs to be be washed to remove all the sludge in it and it needs to be ph’d charged with some form of calcium including the coir chips
It was so wonderful to take a peek in to your grow Tent to see what's coming up. I think it would be great to visit every morning. Especially with these shorter days coming up and so much darkness. This was a tremendous investment for the winter blues. And so many wonderful plants.😊😊😊
Thanks Lynn!!!! One thing I also love about the tent is not only the brightness, but the warmth!!!!! I wish I could convey that through the screen. On cold fall and winter days, I go in the tent and feel like I’m on a tropical island. It’s fabulous 🥰. Hope you’re having a lovely Sunday 💚💚💚.
Thank you!!! The controller has the ability to turn on a heater if the temperature falls below my setting of 82 degrees Fahrenheit but I don’t have a heater set up for it. Last winter the low temp would go to 64F at night/overnight So I don’t think I need to add any heat source. I have added insulation to the outside top of the tent in hopes that it might make a difference. If I do decide to add a heater I’ll let you guys know what I go with. Thanks so much for your question!!!
What is the siscus discolor? Philodendron? I didn’t know you had that grow tent. Saturday we had a community plant sale and I found a Florida green. I know they r being found in the south at the BB stores. I also got a black krohniana and a super splash but I looked up the super splash and the one I got is much darker than the ones online. Also a lacunosa snow cap. I found 2 dying lacunosas at Walmart. They came in in bad shape and I’m hoping to revive them. And memoria from Home Depot. I’ve heard Home Depot has the Chelsea and several other Hoyas that we seem to never get. I found a curly lipstick plant at Home Depot also.
Gina, great video dear can you help on a hoya question: I have a new leaf smaller than rest and it's turning yellow and 2 weeks ago it was green. What's happen. Its on my Mathilde hoya amd the leaf isn't dry. 😔thanks
Hi!!! Thanks!!! So I have found with my Hoyas that sometimes the smaller leaves, which are typically the newest leaves, will yellow and fall off. Most likely it’s a watering issue, either too much or not enough. Those young leaves are just more sensitive to their environment. Mathilde has been a trickier one for me as well. If you start losing multiple mature leaves than it’s probably an issue with the roots. Otherwise, I wouldn’t worry about those young ones dropping occasionally. It just happens. Hope that helps!!!
Hi! I put them right into a chunky soil mix with fox farms ocean forest soil, orchid bark, charcoal, worm castings and perlite or pumice. Which reminds me I need to buy more pumice :). This method works great as long as you have a very humid place to put the propagation while it is growing roots. I haven't tried just setting it on a shelf, in normal room humidity, after propagating. I've also tried water propagating without a lot of success. They seem to die off before rooting, for the most part. Hope this helps!!! Thanks for your question :).
Wow! That's some setup. It is so much better than my clear plastic tent over a few shelves. ❤
Thanks 🥰. It’s a lot of fun to have!
I love your plants tours .
Thanks for sharing them.
Thanks for your time.
Thanks so much!!! 🥰🥰🥰

I love to see all the tiny props, and your cissus is so cute!

I wish I can buy plants from you. They all are so beautiful and healthy. To bad I live were I live 😥
Thank you!!!! I'm sad where I ship isn't compatible with where you live. I would love to be able to send you something :).
I think you've done 2 million plant tours this month, maybe plant care next? 😄

This tent is just chock full of fun! It looks like you might want to clear some space..I'll be happy to help you do so. Haha. :)
Hehe thank you 🥰🥰🥰
Any white LED white light will work as a grow light.....but there are some better then others like any product.
Yup! I’ve been using 6500K and it’s working out great! Awesome growth!

Oh interesting. I’m not familiar with the use of coco coir. The only time I’ve seen it is with incoming Hoyas.

A beautiful vining plant! But can be "fussy". Here's a link to an article on them :)

@@ThePinkTrellisI knew it was a begonia. Several places has it listed as a philodendron

What medium do you use to propagate Micans? I haven’t had success with water.
