From Ski paradise, car-free village of Zermatt Switzerland, two amazing (jaw-dropping) train journeys begin - 1. Gornergratbahn or Gornergrat train, and 2. The Glacier Express train. The Gornergrat matterhorn cogwheel train presents a sublime scenic journey passing through the snow covered village of Zermatt, to stations Findelbach, Riffelalp, Riffelberg and Rotenboden before arriving on Gornergrat station (3100m asl) on a 9km long narrow gauge railway track. The Gornergrat station presents a spectacular 360 degree sublime views of the Swiss alps, Matterhorn mountain, Monta Rosa Massif and the Gorner Glacier. Thank you for an extremely enjoyable video! It reminded me of many pleasant winter trips up the Gornergrat. There was one very pleasant surprise when we got to the top. The path up to the summit had been cleared of snow and gritted. That was not the case when I used to visit!

Thank you so much for this beautiful video. I really enjoyed the part beyond the hotel and above it. I was unable to make it that far. I got altitude sickness just walking up to the hotel. But I did have great weather like you. After I returned to the train station, I enjoyed a wonderful hot chocolate and then boarded the train to get back down to Zermatt. I am older now and not as strong as I used to be. Another man got altitude sickness and returned on the same train as I. This was on my bucket list, and I loved doing it.

The images are deceptive. In truth, Switzerland is not as beautiful as it is portrayed. There are roads, industrial buildings and ugly houses everywhere. There is also a lot of traffic. And because of climate change, there is rarely snow and then it is really very depressing, brown everywhere. Many tourists are disappointed when they come to Switzerland. It is also very expensive. So please don't come to Switzerland, stay where you are.
