Just received the 3 Series Harmonic Trem and it’s already on my live board. It fills a long lived gap in my sonic palate for a fraction of the cost of some of the more expensive variants. This is where the three series shines. It addresses both the bread and butter effects that we all use on a day to day basis AND reaches into more uncommon sounds that you might only use once or twice during a show. Well done JHS, you are crushing it.
The JHS team is an invaluable asset to the pedal community. It’s amazing the type of USA made pedals you put out and such a fair price! I have yet to own a 3 series pedal but the octave reverb may be my first. Thank you for all you guys do!
Not gonna mention the other brand I was looking at, but the Octave Reverb is 99% exactly what I was looking at for 1/3 the price. I immediately bought one!
I'm serious when I say that these 3 series JHS pedals are one of, if not _the_ best thing Josh/JHS have ever done. They sound fantastic while each is also "their own thing" in terms of their sound and not being a *total* derivative of something else. The form factor is also cool, simple and effective/flexible, the parts, PCB and build is as good as anything and for $100 a piece?? You really cannot beat it. There a few which I'd literally choose on their own merit over other in heir category, regardless of price. If one day (hopefully far, far away or better yet, never) they're no longer being produced, they would quickly become one of those highly sought after, exponentially increasing in aftermarket value pedals that were once the affordable stuff in every music shop that the gear snobs didn't want then but fight over now because they're favorite session musician swears by them (which btw I think Josh Scoot would love). A'la the Ibanez 10 series stuff like the Mostortion and TS10, the Nobels ODR-1, the Ibanez "Sound Tank" EM-5 Echo Machine, the DOD Meat Box etc etc. The best part is unlike most of that stuff, you wouldn't need to have them rehoused because they're already built like tanks. The only thing they _maybe_ would need being a replacement foot switch every 20 years of 15,000 stomps. Anyhow, rant over. I just wanted to give dude and his team props on those things, They deserve it. The hardest part was deciding which to go with first.

JHS, y'all rock. I think that Trem is going to end up in my collection.
Not only does does Josh make two of their most requested effects, but also outs what could be the most affordable harmonic tremolo pedal on the market!
That tremolo is unbelievable! Just as a harmonic trem it would be great, but also throwing in the switch to make it a standard trem gives it so much versatility! Plus you can make it sound like a univibe for only $100. What a steal!!
After careful study and a few calculations the two new pedals are Fantastic Crew and Software Reboot. Excellent choices, its been years since a reputable company has released these type of pedals.
"Shimmer" is actually a term that Eno gave to a different effects treatment of feeding a long-ish reverb/delay into the Yamaha SPX90 "Symphonic" effect or the Lexicon Chorus Delays algorithm from the Lexicon PCM70 and then feeding that entire process back into itself using the aux sends/returns on the mixing console. So "Shimmer" was actually a multi-chorused long decay reverb. Eno called that chorused reverb effect treatment Shimmer because the sound evoked the feeling and visual of the shimmering water when the sun shines down on the gentle waves rippling across it's reflective surface. One famous pedal company from California incorrectly named the recirculating octave reverb on their first ever reverb pedal effect "Shimmer" when taking cues from the word Shimmer on the front panel backlit display of The Edge's Lexicon PCM70 unit in his refrigerator rack, captured in a documentary film made during the U2 Vertigo tour. Neither Eno or Lanois ever named this octave reverb feeding back into itself effect anything because it was to be kept top secret. Some have tried to reverse engineer it, but I have yet to hear the original effect created using the [AMS 15-80s Pitch Changer Delay, Lexicon M93 Prime Time Digital Delay & Lexicon 224 Hall B reverb] correctly re-created by anyone. I use the original equipment on my song "Leaving The World Behind" and take shot at a similar sound as what first appeared on Harold Budd's "The Pearl" album, where the recirculating octave reverb effect first appeared.
Proud owner of the 3 Series Chorus. I'm a big fan of the fact that it has a volume knob as opposed to effect level - I can and have used it as a boost pedal with and without the chorus. So, thanks for the free boost pedal with my chorus.

I love both Tremolo settings. Super useful. If you make a double pedal with this and your regular reverb... it's like the Milkman F-stop on your board but for regular working folks who want something for fun and extra cash on the weekends. A small board with 3 series Compressor --> Screamer --> Fuzz ---> Distortion ---> Delay --> Reverb ---> Harmonic Tremolo. Less than $700 for a pro set up made in Kansas City? That's new. That's amazing. (I have to get one so the young players I work with have experience with the 3 series. )Your Screamer sounds better than all my screamers. Why? I could fill a book with the merits of each and sell enough books to buy a coffee or two, but… I guess… instead, I’ll just need to order one of these newfangled Octave Reverbs. Nice work, everyone, and I’m loving those jams.
My mom got me the octave reverb for the holiday season by accident and it's the best accident my board has ever experienced. It blends so well with the fuzz and overdrive I have setup.

Listened too the GB&U soundtrack after watching this video. I was blown away. I haven’t heard that since I was young and never truly “listened” to it. Incredible. Thanks for the suggestion.
i’ve been a fan since 2020 after i watched the jason lamb video. almost everytime i’ve been curious about an effect or a pedal, i look to this channel first. i never had bought a jhs pedal till today, i purchased the series 3 chorus and the angry charlie. the chorus is so lush and the vibrato sounds so nice. the angry charlie is the perfect smashing pumpkins pedal, alone or with a big muff. they’re amazing pedals and i’m excited to play gigs with them. awesome pedals, awesome videos, keep it up!
Octave/shimmer 'verb is my favorite effect right now. Definitely can be used subtly or always on. I set level on my RV-6 at about 9 o'clock, adds just a little something extra where you know its there but doesn't get in the way.
I own that record. Listened to it a bunch of times, as it’s one of my favorite films. It has completely inspired my sound as a guitarist. Morricone is a legend.
Ennio Morricone had some great vision to compose that album like he did. Definitely one of my all time favorites! You're very right about listening to it when you're bored with everything else!
Congratulations @JHS Pedals. Two really desirable pedals. They'll do very well. Unique and budget friendly enough to be big hits. Especially the Octave Reverb. Wow.
Buying the octave reverb! Love it! Love allllll your vids. Will be my first JHS pedal and proud! You guys kill it. Love you guys all the way from up here in Toronto Canada :)
I’ve got a 3-series compressor, fuzz, and hall reverb. Couldn’t be happier with them. The fuzz in particular is very special. It made me fall in love with fuzz.
Wow. I’ve always felt like I had the reverb part of my tone covered, but man, that Octave Reverb sounds incredible. Definitely one of those things I didn’t realize I needed, until I saw/heard it. So cool.
Damn...I just spent a ton of time making my own reverb, and I am in the middle of making a univive. Now you have $99 pedals for both and they both have very interesting secondary effects! Damnit! Lol I love the 3 series pedals. These are some of the best 3 series pedals you have made! You should put both in a jam at the end! Great work!
Y'all are killing it with these reverbs. They sound absolutely fantastic, especially this octave/shimmer verb. Shimmer reverbs seem to be really hit or miss with different companies and it seems you guys nailed it. I don't know if you guys plan on making any more reverbs but it would cool to see a multi reverb pedal like combining your hall and octave reverb in one pedal. Anyways looking forward to what else yall are making. I think reverb enthusiasts are much more open to experimentation/innovation compared to overdrive/distortion enthusiasts.
As someone of similar stature to Mr. Scott (6'4" 235lb) - thank you for reminding just how diminished an SG looks in comparison to my own frame. :) Love you guys - these pedals are great!
I absolutely love this octave reverb. It's really good. Thank you for making it!!!! Fingers crossed for a synth pedal lol. Edit..... A year later amd this is still on my board because its soooo good!!!
Im always pleasantly surprised during your jam sessions. You play so many styles well.Josh Nick and Adison great job. Everytime i watch a video im i spired and ru tomy practice space and jam. Thank you all for existing. My life is enhanced because of it!
Just ordered my first JHS pedal - the octave reverb! In my opinion most "shimmer" reverb pedals are a bit gimmicky. The up/down octave switch makes the JHS pedal more functional, and the octave effect sounds organic and warm compared to others I've used and heard. Can't wait to get this one on my board!
Just a reminder that any comments asking you to message us on telegram are spam, not us!
does the octave reverb trail when you turn it off?
Gosh dang it!!! They told me I could buy the harmonic-trim with target gift cards.... I was taken for a fool I tell ya, a fool... (But in all honesty this pedal looks/sounds/and all arounds, like a winner)

I could fill a book with the merits of each and sell enough books to buy a coffee or two, but… I guess… instead, I’ll just need to order one of these newfangled Octave Reverbs.
Nice work, everyone, and I’m loving those jams.
Tone Sucker and 60 Cycle Hum Generator please!

My mom got me the octave reverb for the holiday season by accident and it's the best accident my board has ever experienced. It blends so well with the fuzz and overdrive I have setup.
Harmonic trem and shimmer reverb looks about right..I have the 3 series screamer so far...it does it's thing very well🤘😂🎸🎶also the amp top black box and jhs splitter along w the muffaletta👊
That first Octave Reverb demo (Clean Socks, New Shoes, Dirty Feet?) is stinkin' glorious!
Nick's drumming and Addison just beautiful groovin'.
Awesome.
Korg Miku clone + Rainger Minibar clone
DAMN IT, I was so close.
at 8:10 the harmonic tremolo tone is amazing... that's a killer sound... unique but easy on the ears. I now want this pedal.
Seems awesome. I own the 3 series reverb. And thanks josh, as a dad with 3 small kids, there are not much awesome versatile athmosperic reverbs i could afford with ease! Love your channel and the genuine nerd humor
Got to say, that "faux envelope filter" playing is something I never ever thought to do with a tremolo. But now I got to try it! Thanks, Josh!
Listened too the GB&U soundtrack after watching this video. I was blown away. I haven’t heard that since I was young and never truly “listened” to it. Incredible. Thanks for the suggestion.
Stoked for this. Probably gonna be the best part of my day.
I got the Octave Reverb for myself for my (too close to Christmas) birthday. It's a lot of fun to play! Thanks, JHS!
i’ve been a fan since 2020 after i watched the jason lamb video. almost everytime i’ve been curious about an effect or a pedal, i look to this channel first. i never had bought a jhs pedal till today, i purchased the series 3 chorus and the angry charlie. the chorus is so lush and the vibrato sounds so nice. the angry charlie is the perfect smashing pumpkins pedal, alone or with a big muff. they’re amazing pedals and i’m excited to play gigs with them. awesome pedals, awesome videos, keep it up!
@jhs pedals 8:03 mark. The weird synth horn comes to town!! Great sound Josh. Great job on these pedals.
Wow.
Superb addition to the 3 series.
Opened UA-cam, saw a video for new 3 series pedals, saw the words harmonic tremolo, did a double take, read it again and knew I was sold!
I appreciate the Good Grace reference cause my old worship pastor made that same joke so many times lol
Wow. I’ve always felt like I had the reverb part of my tone covered, but man, that Octave Reverb sounds incredible. Definitely one of those things I didn’t realize I needed, until I saw/heard it. So cool.
Great pedals!!! The trem catches my eye!! Also, thanks to you and your team for all the great content!! Rock on!
Damn...I just spent a ton of time making my own reverb, and I am in the middle of making a univive.
Now you have $99 pedals for both and they both have very interesting secondary effects! Damnit! Lol
I love the 3 series pedals. These are some of the best 3 series pedals you have made! You should put both in a jam at the end!
Great work!
You play one note with the reverb and it's so touching! I hope I get my hands on one of those one day. Great jams as usual.
Harmonic trem is flippin cool, and glad to see you guys are rocking on with the Ross as well!
The Octave Reverb is like a Lexicon PCM 80 patch I love.
I literally had both pedals ordered by the end of the video. Can't wait to add them to my pedalboard. Excellent demo
💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
